I agreed to a door-to-door salesman of Prestige *********************************************** ************, to repair my upper brick paver walk, a 10 step brick and cement stairs, and a lower brick paver walk for $2,200. Work began on January 26, 2023. The upper walk was removed and the base replaced with new unmatched (in color) bricks. Sand was swept between the cracks. This was "play sand" and not as I later learned Polymeric Sand required to actually bind the bricks together. The brick stairs that had crumbling concrete throughout was only replaced on the top two steps The lower brick paver walk was only power washed and one brick was removed and replaced but with concrete that was smeared all over and on to surrounding bricks that hardened to a mess. They said they would return on Monday, January 30 but did not. Because it was pay day for their **************** I paid the $2,200 in cash. They would not accept a check, which I could understand since I had no idea of their names or address. When I called (several times) the one guy that I dealt with (Young ****** he would always apologize and say: "things are very hectic, I will get to you" This went on until March 23, when he said: "I have you scheduled for October 15" He then hung-up the phone.I still need the Polymeric sand to be applied to the paver bricks and the efflorescence to be cleansed from the brick staircase. This I can probably do myself, along with removing the old bricks and mortar that the workers "stashed" behind shrubs in my yard. The phone number on their flyer has a Spring Valley location when called. it also serves as their website. The closest I got to a name was when I asked if they were licensed and the Irish kid said that "***********************" would bring it. That never happened.
