On 2/3/23 my husband and I went in to Squareone Auto in ******, ** to look at a vehicle we saw on car fax, a Jaguar F pace 2019 VIN #***************** which was listed for $24,900 on both the business's website and on CarFax. We told the sales person that we were looking to pay for the car cash as we were not interested in financing the vehicle. We were approached by the manger who told us that if we financed the car, he would be able to give us a better deal. At no point was a different price discussed other then what the vehicle was listed for on the ticket price, which reflected the same price listed in CarFax. We proceeded to fill out paperwork to see what the finance option would yield. We met the finance person who told us that he would just do a soft pull on our credit after my husband, who works in banking, expressed concerns with unnecessarily running our credit. My husband and I have excellent credit since we are very mindful of any transactions we do. We were told that we could leave and they would contact us that day to let us know what they could work out for us. 3 Days later, we hear back form the sales person to see if we were still interested in the vehicle and he sets us up for an appointment to go in and hear our options. We met with another finance person, ****, who tells us that the price of the vehicle was $30,900. When we question the discrepancy in prices, he stated that the listed price of $24,900 was not the actual price and that their was an assumed 6k deposit expected from the customer that was in addition to that listed price. In addition to the expected sales tax and DMV fees and Docs Fees, he also mentioned an additional $1,500 prep fee which would have brought this vehicles total to approximately $35,000. We decided to walk out at this time since we felt that this was a dishonest and unethical place to do business. My husband later, checked our credit to find out that their were 3 hard inquiries reflecting on our credit reports after we were told that only a soft pull was going to be made. Another major concern was that at the time that the credit inquiries were done, we had not been made aware of any differences in pricing and were not able to make an informed, final decision to determine whether it was worth the risk of having our credit scores be affected by these inquiries. We are asking that Squareone Auto take responsibility for their false advertisement and unethical practices and remove these inquiries from our credit reports.

I am ********************* currently living in ******* **. I recently was looking for a car and found one online in ************* at a place called Square One Auto so set up an appointment to go check it out August 10th . Everything with the car checked out to be great so my finance team *********** approved me for the car so i purchased it with $5,800 down on the vehicle we sighed papers I drove off with paper tags. A month later my paper tags expired I called the dealer to inform them that they have expired and they replied it was nothing they can due until my tags came back. So at this point I have a car I couldnt drive. October 26th the dealership which is Square One Auto called me saying my tags as finally arrived but the only way I can receive them was if I was to pay them 3k for them. I asked why and they replied back saying when I got approved for the vehicle 3 months ago they forgot to add the title, tags, and registration fees into the financing part of the vehicle so now they want there money back from me. I told them that was a mistake on you guys end and not mines. You cant call a customer 2-3 months later saying something like that. I told them I dont have 3k to pay for tags or a mistake they made on their end. So now they are refusing to give me the tags and registration to the car and Im stuck paying for a car every month that I cant drive
