Overcharged Hospitalization Fees and ***************************** I brought my cat in for treatment on October 3rd, and he was discharged on October 4th. Upon reviewing the invoice (number: ******) for the services provided, I noticed a discrepancy in the charges. Specifically, I was billed for two days of hospitalization, each amounting to $379, despite my cat being in your care for only one day.Since October 16th, I have attempted to reach out to your hospital on at least five separate occasions, in an effort to rectify this billing error. Regrettably, I have not received any response or acknowledgment of my attempts. This prolonged silence has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.I understand that mistakes can occur, and I believe in fair and transparent business practices. Therefore, I kindly request that you promptly rectify this situation by refunding the overcharged amount of $385.63(showing on my current bill). I trust that you will address this matter with the urgency and professionalism it deserves.

      ******,

The estimate you signed states that we charge per calendar day for hospitalization which is why you were charged for two.  I apologize if the billing department was not responsive to your concerns.   The discrepancy in question was handled and you were appropriately charged.  It was also explained to you that you have a credit on your account for -$385.63.    We would not have your credit card information on file to refund, and we would need that information from you in order to refund.

      ********,

First and foremost our condolences on your loss.  Often, time is of the essence with emergencies and critically sick patients. We know finances are a concern with such sudden emergencies and many clients are not prepared for this.  We offer loans such as care credit and scratch pay which many clients find useful to help with extended payments.  Ultimately how we proceed is up to the pet owner and we can only make recommendations based on findings.  Medically we treat patients up to the standards of veterinary medicine with compassion. We do prepare clients about cost for emergency visits and expect payment for services,  We provide an invoice regarding services and after no communication we have no choice but to send the balance to an agency.  We prefer to not need to go this route but it is necessary.  Again, our condolences on our loss.  We stand by the level of care provided for your beloved pet.
