  Scammers. The salesperson lied and stated they were with bge and needed to adjust my electric. I later found out after receiving an email that they are with idt energy and now Im signed up. I proceeded to ****** via phone. I then find out that after *** canceled my bge due to relocating that I was still enrolled; they do not cancel your account unless you basically tell at them to. They scam and sign up under false pretenses.

  My daughter is so distraught because this company forged her signature and is taking $800 for past due bills from her bank! They sent a copy of the sign up and not only is it NOT her signature they spelled her name wrong !!! This place should be shut down, they are thieves and liars. I am getting a lawyer for m daughter! I if I could give minus 5 stars I would!

  Some scammers came to my home switching my commed service with IDT Energy . Saying they were changing the meters account number and that they needed to see my account number with commed. Then he took my cell phone and started forging my signature saying he just needed to confirm something. Next thing i know i get an email from this garbage company saying i was enrolled with them. These guys are a complete scam and should be prosecuted. Im pretty positive i can sue especially when they forge my signature.

  Upon review of its records in response to this BBB Review, IDT Energy canceled the electric supply request and confirms that the enrollment was effectively rescinded. In an effort to address the concerns brought forth by Mr. ******* *** commenced an investigation with its subcontracted door-to-door marketing vendor and took the appropriate corrective actions; IDT Energy appreciates Mr. ****** bringing this situation to attention and takes these matters with utmost importance. In an effort to resolve this circumstance, ***'s Compliance team spoke with account holder ***** ******** to explain that the enrollment was rescinded and what steps were taken to rectify their concerns, to which they indicated they were satisfied with the outcome of the BBB Review. Lastly, Mr. ********** residential address and phone number were added to IDT Energy's internal marketing suppression list to prevent future solicitation from the company.

  I was called by this company awhile back and they sold the heck out of this. I was told I would save money, the man has my account number with comed, EVERYTHING and promised that my bill would be lower. I live in a small 2bedroom townhome only 1000 sq ft and my light bill was always $300+. The number quoted at the time of the call they charge per usage was a bold lie. I was enlightened by ComED today that they charge twice as much and I was scammed. I now have a $2500 light bill which they agreed that the amount didnt match my usage but Im stuck with this bill, Im a single parent of 2 children and dont know what else to do. Im so hurt by this and no one has any answers.

  A vile, b****** company that scams the disabled, elderly, and refuses to take accountability for their sins. They deserve to rot in whatever punishment they've gotten themselves and have been sued by their constituents before. I hope they die a painful, ******** style death.

  Upon receipt of Mr. *************** Better Business Bureau (BBB) Review, IDT Energy reviewed his concerns regarding his dissatisfaction with its sales representatives. Please be advised that Mr. ************** contacted IDT Energys ******************** on March 19, 2025 to cancel the enrollment that was completed on March 12, 2025. As a result, the enrollment was rescinded; therefore, Mr. ************** will not receive supply services from IDT Energy. IDT Energy apologizes for any inconvenience the sales encounter may have caused Mr. ************** and thanks him for providing his feedback. IDT Energy takes great pride in customer satisfaction and seeks to swiftly resolve customer dissatisfaction and optimize its sales experience.Lastly, to bring resolve to the matter, Mr. *************** contact information was placed on IDT Energys marketing suppression list to prevent future solicitation from the Company.

  0* "PREDATORY COMPANY"I've never asked for or signed up for these services.(both electric and gas supply) I've been on hold for over an hour now trying to contact the company. I just read through my entire electric bill, IDT is charging me $0.14, when comed only charges $0.06kh. ****** and REQUEST all documents and records. I'm contacting a lawyer next. The lady(Tiara) on the line told me that I was signed up on September 19th with a door to door salesman, and it only required someone over the age of 18yrs to sign up. I can prove it wasn't with me, and my name is the only one on the bill. Something fragulant is happening.

  In receipt of Mrs. ******* Better Business Bureau (BBB) review, IDT Energy contacted her to address her concerns. Please note IDT Energy reviewed the Third-Party Verification (TPV) recording and enrollment documentation completed to enroll Mrs. ******* Nicor and ComEd accounts with ******************** on September 19, 2024 as a result of a sales exchange at her residence. From this review, it was found ***** ******, who identified to be Mrs. ******* spouse, authorized the IDT Energy enrollment. Following Mr. ******* enrollment, IDT Energy mailed welcome packets directly to the ****** residence via First-********** mailing, which served to confirm the selection of IDT Energy and the respective offers. Mrs. ****** would have also been notified by Nicor and ComEd of the impending switch. On February 24, 2025, Mrs. ****** placed her first contact IDT Energys ********************* where she requested to cancel the IDT Energy account. As such, her Nicor account terminated on February 11, 2025, and her ***** account will terminate on March 21, 2025.Please be advised that IDT Energy supplied ********************* and natural gas for four billing cycles prior to this contact, where the Companys contact information was listed on her monthly bills. The IDT Energy electric and natural gas supply charges billed were correct as rendered and were billed in accordance with Nicor and ComEds reported energy consumption, and the IDT Energy rate plans Mr. ****** enrolled with. Lastly, to bring further resolve to the matter, IDT Energy placed Mrs. ******* contact information on its marketing suppression list to prevent future solicitation from the Company.

Consequently, ***** set the effective termination date for her electric account as February 24, 2025, while ********* assigned an effective termination date of February 25, 2025, in accordance with their transfer policies.Please note that IDT Energy reviewed Ms. ******** enrollment and found that Ms. ******* was billed in accordance with the terms and conditions she agreed to when she enrolled with IDT Energy.   Told me they were Potomac ****** and essentially lied to get me to sign up for lower rates when in fact they are 4x more expensive absolutely a scam avoid at all cost

  In response to Mr. ********* review, IDT Energy reviewed the enrollment documentation utilized to enroll his account for supply service and found that he was billed in conformance with the terms of the agreement. Further, IDT Energy reached out to Mr. ********* regarding the matter, wherein he was apprised his account was cancelled. IDT Energy is not mandatory and a consumer can cancel at any time.IDT Energy thanks Mr. ********* for bringing this matter to its attention as IDT Energy takes great pride in consumer satisfaction. IDT Energy investigates all matters promptly and ensures appropriate actions are taken to address any concerns brought forth.

  I absolute detest everything about this company. They told me at my door that they were representatives for ***. They scammed me to give them my account number for electric and gas and told me they needed it to "fix a mistake" in my pricing. They had me sign it telling me that they would fix the mistake in my pricing as *** representatives. They never told me I would be switching to ***. they never even mentioned the name.I had 2 small children with me and I just wanted them to leave. Im so mad that while distracted from toddler and a baby, they scammed me. These are some of the most disgusting people I have ever met. I saw my contract had a 3 day cancellation for door to door ********. So I did just that. But they only cancelled the electric and not the gas. My last gas bill was a hundred more dollars than normal.Disgusting. *******. Wrong. Gross.

His natural gas account is now scheduled to terminate with IDT Energy on February 1, 2025 and to address this matter, IDT Energy will complete a cost comparison for the time he receives natural gas supply services from IDT Energy once the final billing has been received from BGE. Specifically, IDT Energys rates/supply charges will be compared to BGEs rates/supply charges. Should the analysis indicate an overage, Mr. ******* will be provided a refund. Lastly, to bring resolve to the matter, IDT Energy placed Mr. ******** contact information on its internal no solicitation lists to prevent future solicitation from the Company.

  I believe this company is trying to scam people. Someone named ******* just came to my door and acted as though he was from Ameren saying I was due a refund from being overcharged. When I asked why I didn't receive any notification from ****** like an email or alert on the website, he said it was on the bill. When I pulled the bill up to check, he couldn't tell me where it would be. I asked if he was actually from ****** after he sent me a link to my "refund" and the website didn't say Ameren and he said he's actually from IDT Energy and the link was to sign a year long contract and then I would get a rebate gift card. They are absolutely misrepresenting themselves.
