My husband filed for **** and this firm STOLE $2500 of our settlement money. We NEVER USED THEM, we NEVER SPOKE TO THEM, THEY ARE NOT OUR ATTNY. They are trolls stealing money from the disabled. The SS office issued them the money the week of 12/9/24. They contacted the SS office and told them they were our attny so they could receive "free" money. DISGRACEFUL!!!!Initial Complaint

I put in an application with a 3rd party law office to file a disability claim. I just completed the document and I asked that they void the document but was told they cannot because I esigned the document. I thought I should be able to void it within a 1 day time frame.Initial Complaint

We have a situation of bait and switch which occurred on 11/5/2024. My husband was applying for Social Security Disability. After submitting on the SSD website, we received what we thought was a follow up call. Unfortunately, he signed a Fee Agreement with GAR Disability Advocates, LLC. No money has been exchanged but if he receives disability we have to pay a fee. We were lead to believe it was Social Security reps. We did not stop and read. We were being pushed through the document.Initial Complaint

Ive tried numerous times to contact this company by phone but im always transferred to a number that is just voicemail. This company GAR DISABILITY ADVOCATES are scamming people out of 25% of any settlement that is possibly due to you. On June 17th, 2024 I filled for disability online. A couple days later a lady ***** with GAR DISABILITY ADVOCATES called and said she was with SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY AND started asking questions. I answered her questions and then she said I needed to sign some documents in order to get my case started, so I did so. With in a week I had the real person for social security disability call and I was telling her what had happened. She said this happens more than you know. So I answered all of her questions to get my case started. I immediately pulled up what I had signed and was very upset and mislead by GAR DISABILITY ADVOCATES. SO I EMAILED *****, **** and Mr. ***** to ask for a withdrawal, fee waiveras well. It took forever and numerous phone calls for them to call back. They were very quick to send the withdrawal letter to SSD . AT THE PRESENT TIME ***************************** refuses to give me the waiver of payment to GAR. IT'S OBVIOUSLY NOT TO HELP ANYONE BUT TO TAKE COMPLETE ADVANTAGE OF AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AND SCAM THEM OUT OF 25 % OF ANY BCAK PAY THEY'RE ENTITLED TO. I FEEL SOMETHING AND SOMEONE NEEDS STAND UP FOR PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF IN ORDER TO STOP THIS NONSENSE. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM. IM ALSO CONTACTING THE CONSUMER PROTECTION GROUP. THANK YOU, *******************Initial Complaint

I was using this company as my advocate as I was going for Social Security Disability. My case is still not resolved or won and I received a phone they can no longer represent me because I'm working, but it's not even full time. So they just dropped me & the ball after 2 years & 1 month of me using them and I would like more of an explanation or them to finish what was started, like helping me win my disability case. If they weren't gonna help me cause I'm working they should have said so up front, instead I feel they were deceptive since I'm getting closer to a hearing or at least was til this now I'll have to start all over with a different advocate/ firm.Initial Complaint

I applied online over a year ago for disability. Someone from Gar advocate contacted me and asked more questions. I thought they were an agency working with *** until I got the email that I regrettably signed for them to represent me. I regret because I don't feel they are working to assist me efficiently. I've had appointments with specialist that had nothing to do with my reasons for needing disability. I had already went to 2 of these appointments by the time they called me to tell me about the one that they knew about which I already knew I had. I can't ever get in touch with them. Never know who my representative is. I was denied in January. I appealed and days later they called me saying they appealed. I've sent emails that may not have reached whom I trying to contact because I've never been given a name of my representative. I'm on 24 hr oxygen, have COPD, congestive heart failure and have to use a bipap machine to sleep. The setting on the bipap are higher than what people are on ventilators in hospitals. It's been 5 months since the appeal and no one has my case at the determination place. No one is fighting for me or they would have made sure I had someone. I found a lawyer willing to assist me but he can't until Gar revised themselves from my case. I read the complaints and even they revise themselves all of a sudden the case is inactive. Either I need someone willing to help with my case before I'm homeless or I need them to come off my case so I can get some one who will fight for me.
