I opened an account with work out world in late september and they verbally went over my contract had me sign an electornic signature taker give my credit card info and from there out I thought i got off nicely I was told verbally that my 10$ a month silver membership would have limited access and i could only use it certain hours of the day. I was also told the first month would be free. I was also told all i had to do to cancel was send notice via snail mail to their Nashua Main st location and give them a months notice and I would no longer have to be concerned with it. The first blip is the 1st month they didnt charge me... but come October the bill was 20$ for the month of october and September. I was told verbally that it would be free so i do not understand how they get off charging me. I had stopped using the gym shortly after i paid octobers bill for it. It was gross and had no girls innit I called them and told them i wanted to cancel and they said i have to s3nd written notice I handwrote a letter saying i would like to cancel my membership thinking that at worst they would charge my card an additional 10$ They charged me 80$ and when i looked into it it was a "yearly fee" I could not believe it. I couldnt make rent that week. I was not expecting it at all. I cant even talk about it without crying!!! I thought i was going to lose my home and i almost did. Had 2 cancel my debit card as stolen To make matters worse in December and januaray they blew my phone up with calls asking what im doing and why i havent paid my membership balance harasssing me. I told them i had given written notice about leaving in october and they told me to do it again and pay the balance AT THAT POINT I HAD HAD ENOUGH I HAD GIVEN WRITTEN AND VERBAL NOTICE THAT I WAS NO LONGER A MEMBER GYM They told me thats what i needed to quit! they sold the debt to a bunch of thugs threatening me i had to pay it off i swore i would sue work out world 100$ total paid through me 179$ 269$
