            College Hunks Moving and Hauling in Derry, NH moved us on 2/9/22. We moved 1/2 mile within Derry, NH. Our dining room table was severely damaged during the move. This table was given to my wife by her mother and it is a treasured family heirloom. We informed College Hunks that we were filing a claim to have the table repaired and refinished. They denied our request because their policy is to reimburse for incidental damage at the rate of $1.00 per pound of whatever item was damaged. We told them that wouldn't cover the cost of the repair, but they stuck to the $1.00 per pound policy. We appealed to the College Hunks corporate office in Tampa, FL and all they did was refer us back to the office in Derry. We're not looking to get rich. We only want a fair settlement that will allow us to repair and refinish our dining room table. I am uploading a copy of the letter that I sent to the College Hunks corporate office.

            Horrible experience. Chose this company because they advertised that they did both donation drop off and junk removal. I was cleaning out my deceased father's house and there were several bureaus, desks and side tables that should have been donated but instead on arrival was informed that everything was going to the dump. They arrived with a 1/2 truck and tried to charge me for a full truck and threatened to drop everything off the truck on the driveway if I didn't pay up. After a stressful back and forth we agreed to a price in between a half and a full truck load. To top it off, the driver told me he was sending another truck to pick up two side tables and 2 medium size boxes that wouldn't fit in the full truck. A week went by with multiple phone calls and no response. Finally get a call from the local office that I would have to pay for another pick up of the items that were promised to be picked up that day.
