      Switched business phone service to Cox. They set account up wrong. Delayed porting number. Cox Rep dismissed my concerns. Did not provide failsafe if internet went down like previous provider unless we paid more. Did not provide firewall like previous provider - cost us additional $*****. Took 3 hours on the phone with support to get the phones working correctly. Do your self a favor and chose a different company for business phones.

      It's dirty business the way they lure you in with what seems to be a good deal than raise rates without notice.

      Probably the worst internet I’ve ever had. I pay for the fastest internet they offer and never get those speeds. I have to reset my modem several times a day and even then I still have connection issues. When the tech comes out, they might change a connection out here or there, but the problem never resolves. As soon as another option is available, I’ll be switching to them.

      My account was blocked due to "odd behavior". I was notified via email which I did not get because my cox email account was disabled. I tried entering my password, answering my security question and asked for a code via text so I could reset my password, all did not work. I called in which I hate calling cox in the first place and got a guy that said my account was compromised but could not tell me why and could not figure out why I was not getting the code to reset my password. He sent me a link via text which I got ok but when I clicked on it I had to take a picture of my driver's license but it said my photos was not allowed. When I tried explaining this to him and that my cox app had all allowed permissions he "dropped me". I got another guy on the phone and had to explain all again. He could not help and said had to get manager. I had to explain everything again and again he could not figure out why all ways to reset were not working and blamed the issue on my phone carrier. He then said I had to go into store to get validated and my acct unlocked. I told him I was handicap and could not physically go into store. He just kept saying I had to go into the store to get my account unlocked. I kept saying I can't. Needless to say I hung up after he said someone would be calling me back once they figured out why I could not get a text with a code, even though he said it was my phone carrier issue. After calming down and getting my blood pressure back to normal, the app they use for photo validation is not the cox app but 3rd party https://cfwebt.cheetah.probity.cloud. I had to go in another setting to give them permission for photos. Obviously the manager doesn't even know how cox does their validations. I'm in now but cox is now requiring multifactor authorization which I tried to set up. 4 times. Each time getting an error message stating they are experiencing difficulties ans can not complete my request so can't access my acct. Can't pay bill ??

      Cox attempted to speak with Ms. Peterson to address her concerns. Cox spoke with her briefly today and confirmed her issues with her account are resolved. If she needs further assistance, she can reach a Cox representative at the number provided to her.

      If I could give them minus stars I would. Since the day we got our home internet/TV, service has been sketchy. I cannot tell you how many times I have had to unplug everything from the modem to each individual box at the TVs. Today I spent over two hours unplugging, plugging back in, unplugging, etc the modem and TV boxes before it finally started working. That was short lived. I now have that special box dead center in my screen that reads, sorry, we're having trouble connecting. Please check that your wireless gateway is powered on. I can see around the box in a dimmed out picture. I can listen to the TV. But I cannot watch it You call them, and you get the, take the gateway back to the store to get a new one and see if that works. It was a brand new gateway. Worst service provider I have ever had, and I have had some real losers. DO NOT USE COX AS YOUR INTERNET AND TV PROVIDER. YOU WILL BE VERY UNHAPPY.

      There is a reason that a ton of reviews posted here are 1 star. Cox is one of the worst companies out there. They charge $100 / month for one of their top tier packages and it's average at best. I left in January in of 2021, paid my final bill and never received additional correspondence after that. Jump to a year and a half later and I have a $50 collection that has been affecting my credit score. I called customer service multiple times and requested supervisors, never got one. I gave up at that point and then received another letter from a collection agency. Called Cox again, they stated I called and spoke with a supervisor, which isn't true. I never got through to one or had one call me back. The employee noted my account incorrectly. They cannot fully explain why I owe this and are not at willing to help me out in anyway, they simply just want me to give them the money without reason. For the sake of my credit score I plan to pay it, but I will be telling everyone I know to go with the local competitor (they are so much better in every single way.) Oh, and literally everyone in my family has left Cox over the last few years due to poor experiences with them. If you want bad service for an unreasonable price, then Cox may be for you.

      Cox internet used to be decent but they have seriously declined in their internet reliability. I pay $135 for internet a month and it's is very dependable about having "storm related damage in my area" according to the recording it gives you based on phone number. The best part is we haven't had any storms in a while. It's a bogus sad excuse. Then as you stay on the line to talk to someone it keeps giving you the recorded response that the customer services reps cannot do anything to improve the situation and keeps cycling that response. Well maybe talking to one of them could lead you to the truth about why their service is a total flop but then again that is likely much too high of an expectation. Either way, the minute anyone else decides to put internet into our neighbor at high speeds I will switch. My son begs me to switch but right now all the other services are super low speed in our areas. I don't know which is worse, low speeds all the time or high speeds that drop often. I do not recommend using cox if you want to live in this era where half of your stuff is dependent on internet. It's a real bummer when imaginary storms take out your internet so often.

      Charges 165 a month just for Internet that goes out and lags every day!! I also have the best internet they offer!! What's wrong with this picture?? The only reason I use Cox is because it's the only thing offered in my area and once there's another option I will be leaving! For what I pay I don't want interruptions at all!!! Let alone everyday!

      Worst company ever! I was a perfect paying customer until I moved to a state where they don't service. They never sent me my final bill via email (like all the monthly bills they sent) or by ****. Then I reach out to their corporate office ************************** who turned me over to collections without notice the day before I paid the bill in full.
