      Diversified is now called Sharp Energy. I have never had a contract or service agreement with them. I own property at the beach, but my primary residence for the last 10 years is in ********* SC. I buy propane as needed (which is about every other year, and I currently have 150 gallons in the tank that I OWN so more gas is not needed) but they charged me $105.00 plus numerous late fees which they are now threatening to report to collection agencies - I found that they already reported me by receiving multiple calls per day. When I initially called to inquire about the bill, I was told that I was charged that amount because I did NOT purchase more gas this year. I would like to know how they can charge me and report me for not paying when I don't have a contract stating that it is required and since I don't live there.

      In May 2024, I decided to discontinue my propane gas service and contacted Sharp Energy in ********** ** to pick up the tank. The tank was finally picked up in September. I received continued billing statements stating payment due for the next year lease amount. Finally got that stopped after numerous contacts. I now have a statement dated 9/30/2024 demanding payment for the tank pickup as follows: Service labor $300.00, sales tax $14.75, sales tax surcharge $6.75, for total due of $321.00. To add insult to injury, the returned tank had 40 gallons of propane in it. I see no credit or refund for that amount, ( approximately $132). What nonsense! This is a rip-off. I am 84 years old on a fixed income. I cannot afford this nor have any desire to enter a dispute over this. I am not in good health.

      I requested that they terminate my service in November 2023 and remove their tank from my property because i was only renting not buying the tank. They did not remove the tank from my property until April 2024 , but they are trying to charge me for removing their tank from my property. I tried working with them starting in January 2022 , but they are not a trust worthy company please help me with this complaint.

      WE HAVE SWITCHED FROM GAS TO ELECTRIC HEAT AND WE HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR A MONTH TO GET THE PROPANE **** REMOVED FROM OUR PROPERTY. EVERY TIME WE CALL THE **** ** OFFICE THEY EITHER DON'T ANSWER THE ***** OR SAY THEY ARE VERY BUSY. WE HAVE BEEN CALLING SINCE FEB. 15 AND THE **** IS STILL SITTING ON MY PROPERTY. THEY EVEN CAME TO FILL THE **** NOW THEY WANTING PAYMENT. **** AT OFFICE SAID NO WORRIES THEY WOULD PICK UP THE ****, THE **** WAS'NT OWED SINCE WE HAD NOTIFED THEM AND DID'NT USE ANY GAS. THE **** HAD 20 PERCENT LEFT IN IT BEFORE THEY FILLED IT. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME RENT FOR THEIR **** BUT NOW THAT I DON'T NEED IT I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD CHARGE THEM RENT. IT SHOULD'NT TAKE A MONTH TO PICK UP A ****.
