1 starDuring my experience at Fred Anderson Kia of Raleigh , I felt dissatisfied with there customer service, I am a military veteran who went to purchase a new vehicle for my daughter a 2026 *** sportage , I was given the runaround from the pricing it was on sale for 31,000$ but after the taxes tags and doc fee it brought the price of the vehicle up by almost 6,000$ , we negotiated for about three hours the management was worried about a ****** difference me and my wife said if you are going to worry about a ****** $ price difference then we will just leave , finally they agreed for us to pay 33,000$ we told the sales person we would be back with our daughter and the money we were gone for 2 hours when we came back , the vehicle was still in the same spot it was in when we left the vehicle was still dirty , the sales person said that they were going to wash it but that didnt happen, I paid for the vehicle, but the vehicle never got washed and the management harassed my wife about a dd214 we sent the copy , but they said they couldnt read it so I went back to the dealership to let them make a copy they did, now the issue is they need a copy of my daughters birth certificate to prove she is related to me but in the beginning they didnt tell us they needed it. So we could get the 500$ military discount. They are harping over 500$ ! I will not be coming back here to do business again they are not customer friendly especially to people who paid cash , I believe we were treated poorly, the manager told me he would write us a 500$ check if we provide a copy of my daughters birth certificate, Im never business with this dealership again, there was a white family there that got treated with the utmost respect they made sure that that families vehicle was clean before they took it home ours was not clean . Thats the thanks I get for serving my countryReview fromKayla C

1 starI have no words for the level of unprofessionalism at Fred Anderson Kia of Raleigh (FAKR). My car was broken into (ripped the steering column out/needed a new ignition). The car was taken to the dealership on 01/17. It should have been a quick deal as the car was fixed moderately quickly (02/07). The problem came after the car was fixed. My service advisor let me know the car was ready to be picked up, all I needed to do was pay the deductible. Once I got to FAKR, I quickly learned this was not the case. FAKR would not release the car until the insurance paid the remaining balance. I asked if I could pay out of pocket and if they could reimburse me after they received payment from the insurance. They told me they could not guarantee they would reimburse when they received the payment (basically saying if they got paid twice, that was fine with them). This was frustrating. I was losing out on wages because I could not get to and from work but I said fine and left. After leaving, I called the insurance. Turns out they had sent an e-payment to FAKR before the car was even fixed so the car should have been covered. I called FAKR back and asked about the e-payment. They informed me that they haven't unenrolled in the e-payment system but do not use it, requiring paper checks. After weeks of calling FAKR to ask if they had received the check, I decided to go back up there and speak to someone in person. On 02/28, I returned to FAKR and asked again if I could pay for the car out of pocket and they could reimburse me, this time the answer was yes. I paid the remaining balance. Today is 04/05 and I am just getting an answer from FAKR about reimbursement. The fact that it has taken 58 DAYS to resolve is beyond me. I have NEVER dealt with such incompetent procrastinators. Also, every time I called to ask for an update, it seemed like they were pained to speak to me again (even refusing to answer calls from my #, I had to start calling from *****'s phone).Review fromCraig W.

1 starFred Anderson Kia service department misdiagnosed my Kia ******** as having a damaged radiator and quoted the replacement job for over $2,500.I took my car to a local repair shop and was told my vehicle was in good condition and the radiator did not require attention.Review fromChristopher T

1 starI wanted to share an experience I had at Fred Anderson Kia (Raleigh NC). I bought a new Kia ******* back in 2020 with an expanded service plan to go along with the free oil changes for life. Since that purchase, I've have regularly taken my car for 6-month (oil) changes. The service department usually tried to get me to get other maintenance performed like AC refrigerant flushing (etc.). I always declined, saying I just wanted the oil change. They never pushed further and always provided great service. Last week, I went in and they (I'm not sure the person) immediately jumped on me saying I drove too many miles between maintenance. They said I couldn't go over **** miles or that would void my warranty. I told them I always went in every 6 months to follow my "Family Plan" coverage schedule. He then re-focused on something else saying I would have to get a coolant flush for $290 or that would void my whole warranty. Again, I told him I only wanted an oil change. He said they would not give me an oil change unless I agreed to pay the $290. He then added that they would also need to look back and see if there were any other items needing maintenance, which I would have to pay. I told him I did not have the money to pay for any additional services that day and wanted to talk to somebody else. But he said he was going to add a note in my records saying I was declining my whole warranty. I told him I was not declining my warranty and if he put that in, it was him saying that and not me. I left and now I have to figure out what to do. There probably is a clauses for certain maintenance, but they could have been more polite. They were basically scolding me like a child. And why did I lose my free oil changes; especially after I paid for the extended service. Terrible situation at that dealership. I truly love my **** It is a great vehicle. The best I've ever had. I don't have the money to get additional items serviced right now. And now I've lost all my warranty.Review fromChiranjeevi D

1 starExtremely Frustrating Experience at Fred Anderson Kia Raleigh - Unprofessional Showroom Sales and Deceptive Online Practices. My visit to Fred Anderson Kia Raleigh on July 22nd was a nightmare, and I must share this dreadful encounter to warn other potential customers. The dealership's unprofessionalism, uninterested showroom sales, and deceptive online practices left me utterly disappointed.I saw three pre-owned Kia ******** cars on their website and promptly expressed my interest. The salesperson contacted me, and I rescheduled the call for 6:30 pm due to a prior appointment. I informed them of the change, and they seemed understanding.Despite their assurance that the cars were available for test drives, upon arriving at 6:35 pm, no one greeted us for several minutes. Finally, a sales rep named **** showed up and said they were about to close, claiming all used cars were sold.To add insult to injury, when I inquired about a new **** Kia ********, **** nonchalantly claimed none were available. How can a reputable dealership lack test-drive cars?Furthermore, the showroom staff showed no interest in offering other options. The online sales system was also out of sync, falsely assuring car availability. As I write this review at 9:20 pm, I notice that there are seven ******** cars available on their website - *****************************************************************************. So, were they lying about the availability of cars earlier? This kind of deceptive behavior is unacceptable!Such unprofessionalism and deception are unacceptable. I had every intention of purchasing, but their treatment made me change my mind. Avoid Fred Anderson Kia Raleigh for a better automotive experience elsewhere.Review fromTosha

1 starI would not recommend this dealership. My salesman, was okay, I told him in the beginning what I was looking for. I already knew I was going to need a co-signer. I told him upfront I will not be trading a car in. He said no problem. Well he came out a few minutes later and said I was approved for the car, with the conditions I wanted. Well fast forwarded a few minutes later, he comes to say we need you to trade your car in, the banks will not give you the loan without the trade in. Now, I already know how much negative equity I have in my car (almost the total of the new car I want) and I wasn't doing it. Then here comes one of the mangers coming over to talk to us. He was loud and when I say loud everyone in the building stopped to listen. He was saying well they bank ain't going to approve you for a third car loan because of your precious payment history. Now everybody in the dealership knew about my situation. Which made me feel extremely small. I already have social anxiety so that kicked it up several notches, resulting in me having a full blown panic attack. I do not recommend this dealership at all, unless the mangers take some sensitivity classes on how to deal with sensitive information. Plus their markup price is a joke and they wonder why people are not buying cars.Review fromCynthia W

1 starI had an accident in May and totaled my car. Note I’m without a car or a trade in and still owe on the vehicle I’m not driving. I’ve been searching for something I could afford to make a small down payment on. Fred Anderson Kia posted a $1 down ad on ********. To get in on the deal you had to have a voucher. I reached out and was told I would have a voucher waiting and to come by. I drive an hour in a friends vehicle. They took my info and then went in to the finance manager. Within five minutes they were back saying I needed 2500 down. I hadn’t even looked at a car yet. I said what about my $1 voucher (which promised with repos, bankruptcies, good or no credit didn’t matter)? She said all the banks said no. I said you weren’t gone long enough to even check one bank. She said sorry no. They committed fraud by having this ad. I searched it first to make sure I didn’t miss any key info and I didn’t. Too good to be true but they didn’t even try.
