Previous ITSA graduate. THE COURSE IS SO FAST PACED YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE YOU LEARN ANYTHING.. some of the only perks that you get is they help pay for three chances to your certs test. I felt like the curriculum was so rushed that the instructors really didn't even want to speak to you and when they did it was so short-lived it was like a waste of time. Not to mention the $20,000 that you pay for the tuition they give you a refurbished computer with no warranty and charge you $1,000 for it. Complete and total waste of $20,000 and a year of my life that I will never get back I would not recommend this place!! Run away!!!MyComputerCareer

Hi, ********...a few thoughts on what you've left here. Yes, our ITSA program is absolutely fast-paced. We do this to ensure folks have an opportunity to change their lives by starting careers at any point in their lives without spending years learning (and earning) the skills to do so. The program is challenging and if students can't find the time to commit to every step needed for success, they may struggle. We'll have to agree to disagree on our instructors as we truly have some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable in the industry who have worked with hundreds of students to help them navigate the course and find success in the IT industry. Also, we don't issue refurbished computers to students and your price points are bit off. Wherever you land in both your personal and professional lives, we wish you nothing but success.Review fromEM B

Current VA student here at the Arlington campus. As much as it pains me to say this school is a scam. You pay your money sign a contract and on your first day you already feel regret. MyCC has no loyalty to their employees or the alumni who work here currently. I'm here almost everyday trying to make the 20 flex/classroom hours on top of a full time job only to arrive everyday to see them overwork the ONE teacher they have here. They promised hands on in the commercials and in the contract and there is none, but by then its too late. This school isn't about helping the public, but feeding off of unsuspecting individuals searching desperately for a career change. "Dear ****" is also a tool MyCC says you can send any questions and complaints to but its pretty much a dumpster where they put your complaints after they've used it to wipe defecation.MyComputerCareer

Hi, ********…first and foremost, I just want to say congratulations on working so hard every day to advance through our very difficult program. Doing so with a full-time job makes it even more impressive, but it’s also something hundreds of students grind through every year. I’ve checked your progress and am a bit surprised by this review. It seems we’ve been in regular communication with you and you’re moving your way solidly through instruction. While it’s true we’ve experienced some of the same COVID-related employee turnover many organizations have experienced, we’re still working to provide students a full support system to help them in their journeys. If you’re really feeling like your voice isn’t heard or you aren’t getting what you need, I urge you to connect with your instructor/mentor(s) to raise this concern…I promise they will do everything they can to help. To address a few other points, “unsuspecting individuals” is unfair and untrue. Our prospects and students are well-informed of what to expect when entering the program and actively connect with us to find fulfilling employment -- and we’ve helped thousands of people do just that. Regarding “Dear ****,” I can personally tell you every letter is reviewed and many times action is taken from the insight provided. Unfortunately the crude, and non-constructive, way you describe the process makes it difficult to respond. Either way, best of luck moving forward both personally and professionally.Review fromBrayden S

1 starI was given a tour of this place, and part of it included sticking headsets on us and connecting us with the billing department right then and there. I felt incredibly pressured to just go through with the $20,000+ payment, which is a messed up tactic to use.Review fromKathy R

We're going to disagree with you right up front on this one, *****. MyComputerCareer is about much more than making money. We're about providing quality training and a pathway to meaningful employment in IT...in short, helping to change people's lives. And we've been lucky enough to do just that for thousands of graduates over the past 15 years. But, we will agree with you on one point, there are many different paths and options for folks to gain knowledge in IT, and we encourage everyone to explore and follow the optimal path for them. Our program is designed to help people who need guidance and support along the way. Best of luck to you moving forward.Review fromRobert H

My computer career is a scam and all need to stay away. Constant staff turnover at my computer career leads to a disaster for all involved. The are quick to offer support to get you loans for the 20-22 K school price and then fade away once you start. Our class had 45 students and another class started one week behind us with 47 students. You do the math………… *** ****, Self-study books, and other easily found IT materials can better ready you for IT certifications. ****** **MyComputerCareer

We agree on one thing here, there are many methods and channels to gain the skills needed for a career in IT. For some it's self study, for others it's a regimented program, and for others it's a hybrid of both. We're here to meet the needs of those who flourish in a more regimented, expert-led program -- and thousands of folks who earned careers in the field after attending during the last 15 years would agree. And just to make sure we clarify in this public forum. We're certainly very real, we're accredited, and we're highly regarded by employers. Our platforms are in demand and we work diligently to meet this demand by hiring, and retaining, some of the best instructors and mentors in the industry. Your experience listed here is certainly an outlier, but we wish you the best in everything moving forward.Review fromP. P.

They will do the minimum amount required to take your money and you're paying twice what they tell you there is the loan amount and surprise when you're finished the career facilities is a joke got switched between 15 people before they stopped contacting me altogetherMyComputerCareer

Obviously we want to protect our students so will never go into specifics in a public forum like this, but a couple of quick points to address. In looking at the communication history, our Career Services team reached out to this student multiple times with job leads and advice, so they were very proactive in attempting to assist in securing employment. Also, folks do not pay more than the determined program cost that is fully discussed and agreed upon in the initial consultation with the Financial Services team. We cannot, and would not, adjust this figure. We wish you the best of luck moving forward.P. P.

They never gave me any leads and I never talked to anyone more than a couple times They would ask for some information and then I would get handed off to the next person before anything was done until they stopped returning my calls I was only ever told about $11,000 for the program but now it turns out there was a second charge for more on top of that From what I experienced your system is a joke and is meant to decieve people.Review fromMichael M

I don't even want to give this a 1 star really. I truly wished that I did not go into this course because it's truly is a scam. I was fooled into signing up for a loan group to attend these classes. The person that was helping me get into this school never said the word "Loan" so I stupidly signed up for it because it was glorified as a grant that I could get to go to this school. He actually congratulate me for "earning" this paramount thing that again I thought was a grant. So I reluctantly celebrated like an idiot to my family before going to this school. Now I have an $8,000 loan that I have to pay for monthly INCLUDING an extra $7,000 I owed to the school after I had to leave the program early (only been in it for 3 months) do to stress, having COVID and life literally getting in the way. I never understood why I owed the school and a loan company to finish paying for school. Now lets get into the "curriculum". Each class is at a very fast pace and it is not for beginners AT ALL!!! They literally only give you little information about a lot of information you'll need to learn to pass the test to earn your certifications. They do not teach you everything you'll need to know to pass for certifications so you'll have to learn on your own and use outside information to pass. I've complained about this many times while I attended each class. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!! THEY WILL ABSOLUTELY LIE TO YOU TO GET YOUR MONEY!!!MyComputerCareer

It's important to respond to reviews like this as it touches on some needed points of clarity. We absolutely lay out every step of the financial commitment for students before anything is signed, and make sure to solicit and answer any questions. If no questions are asked during this process, then naturally we assume all details are crystal clear. Regarding the program, you make some good points. It is fast-paced and very challenging, but ultimately designed for people from all backgrounds and IT skill sets. We push our students from day one to ensure they have the tools for success after graduation, and the folks that excel understand what you put into the program is exactly what you take out. And MyCC has thousands of graduates over the last 15 years that would echo this sentiment. Regarding your comment about our teaching methods, we'll have to agree to disagree as our instructors and mentors are some of the best in the business who are truly dedicated to your success both in, and out of, our classrooms. Good luck in your personal and professional endeavors moving forward.MyComputerCareer

Our team is always happy and willing to help, *******, so feel free to reach out any time. Thanks.Review fromAnca M

1 starVery poor quality IT education designed to teach to the certifications- but falling short. Not enough instructors to provide proper IT training. Was promised additional tutoring but in-spite of persistent requests was never provided. I would suggest if you are considering a career in IT go to *******- and save your money. For about $250/yr you get much better education (it’s just not spoon fed).
