    Business Response

    Dear Desiree,

We appreciate your feedback and are genuinely sorry to hear about your health challenges and the distress you have experienced. It is never our intention to cause any discomfort or inconvenience to our clients.
Regarding the agreement to purchase your house, we strive for transparency and understanding in all our interactions. Each time we communicated, it was our understanding that you were fully aware and coherent of the ongoing process. In all our communications, including this complaint, you have articulated your situation clearly and competently.

We acknowledge your request to be released from the contract and want to emphasize that we have repeatedly requested documentation, such as proof of power of attorney or medical proof, to proceed responsibly. Our aim is to ensure that any actions taken are legally sound and in the best interest of all parties involved. Unfortunately, without the necessary documentation, our ability to release the contract is limited.

We want to clarify that our actions, including placing a memorandum, are standard legal procedures and not intended to be predatory. Our goal is always to engage in fair and ethical practices. We believe the terms of the contract were agreed upon mutually and reflected the market value at the time.

However, your wellbeing is important to us, and we are open to finding a resolution that is both fair and considerate of your circumstances. We encourage you to reach out to us directly so we can discuss a possible solution. Our priority is to resolve this matter in a manner that is respectful and understanding of your situation.

Dear Mrs. ******* and the Better Business Bureau,

We have read Mrs. *******'s complaint with great attention and wish to express our disagreement with the portrayal of our actions as predatory. Our interactions with Mrs. ******* over several months have consistently shown her to be clear and competent in her decision-making. We understand that having second thoughts is a natural part of any major decision, but this does not imply predatory behavior on our part.  Our intent has always been to engage in a mutually agreed upon contract, conducted with integrity and respect for all parties involved.

Regarding the request for medical documentation, it is important to clarify that this was a request from the closing attorney to review and advise if Mrs. ******* was medically impaired from making a decision to sell her home. This documentation was never intended for our personal review and we fully respect Mrs. *******'s privacy and her right to medical confidentiality.

After careful consideration and review of the situation, we agree to release Mrs. ******* from the agreement. We will be sending her a cancellation and release of earnest money. Once this document is signed by both parties, it will formally end our contractual obligations to each other.
