Purchased 2011 Buick enclave from ****** auto sales in ****** **. Was told they just received vehicle as a trade in and although they had not had time to inspect the vehicle yet, they would still sell it to me and I shouldn't be concerned because I was purchasing the service warranty and gap insurance and if anything were to happen to vehicle I would be given a rental vehicle until purchased one was fixed. When I called Wilco about the vehicle being broken down I was told they were sending someone to tow to mechanic they didn't show after 5hrs my husband called back and was informed nobody put any service requests in at all. Then they finally send someone but refuse to give me a rental vehicle until it's confirmed the issue is either with engine or transmission which I was told at dealer it didn't matter what the issue was I would be provided a rental. I haven't even had the car 6 months and it's obviously an engine issue since it was smoking and making terrible noises and driving rough before I got pulled over safely. I was charged an obscene amount of money for this vehicle and agreed to it only because I was assured if anything failed on the vehicle I would be covered and provided rental in order to make it to work in order to continue making payments on said vehicle. Every employee I've spoken to at Wilco has been so rude and unprofessional and vaugue about the next steps in the service process. I don't even know where they took my car I called the mechanic they said it was towed to and was told they have not received the vehicle and even the mechanic stated Wilco had given them zero information about the vehicle and they were glad I called so they could get needed information. This shows how their unprofessional behavior is apparently a pattern.Business Response

I've answered this once before but perhaps lost in transition. I have no understanding why this complaint was filed, she was provided a rental car, her vehicle was transported to a local garage and repaired, bill was paid by the service contract company and everything is already finished and customer is back driving there own vehicle.

I have went through Wilco Finance on 2 vehicles the first one was in the shop within 2 days of purchase had transmission issues didnt have the car for 3 months made every payment. Car ended up being totaled gap insurance paid it off. I was told gap would cover down payment on a new vehicle with them, get there that wasnt the case I was told I had to pay an additional 700 paid it because I needed a vehicle. Got that car 10/3/2023 complained of gas when I bought it but was assured that the smell was because he spilled gas as pumping ok next day still smell gas, I was told the warranty wouldnt cover it. The same day the drivers door handle broke from the inside. 3 days after I ended up putting ***** in it for alternator battery fix an oil leak all things that shouldve been fixed under warranty considering the fact that it was all within the first 30 days of having the car. Sucked it up because I needed a vehicle as a single mom of 3. They have reported false information to the credit bureau as well as came and took the car yesterday when they had a payment arrangement with me and I was assured they didnt put out a repo order which was a lie repo man told me they put the order out 2 weeks ago. Woke up this morning and they tried to process the payment arrangement we made yesterday but took the car last night. Again today at 9:06 they tried to process the money again WHEN THEY HAVE THE *** IN THEIR POSSESSION! Wilco needs to be shut down they are crooks!!!Business Response

I bought a car from this finance company and it was a good car. I fell behind on some payments and was working to catch things up. One of the guys that worked there called me on Monday and told me I needed to make a payment asap. I told him I could make a payment the next business day when my paycheck came through. He said ok just make payment of $293 by 6 pm that next day. Woke up the next morning and went to work. Got home from work at 5 and my car had been repossessed. I called and asked where my car was and the supposed boss **** said she had given me enough time. She admitted that I had til 6 to pay but didnt think I would and had the car picked up. That is not a repossession then it was technically theft since I still had a hour to make said payment. She wouldnt let me make the payment of $293 and said I had to pay $1,500 to get the car back. I asked her why she jumped the gun and took the car and she said bc I didnt think you would make the payment. I called the place and they wont let me get the car back but I could come get my stuff out of it. Now they put it on my credit as a charge off. I wanted to keep the car and tried to make my payment but was denied. I just want this off my credit since they have the car but the full balance of the car is now on my credit as a charge off. Im furious with this company. Just please remove it from my credit all together so me as a veteran can a home. From ****** reviews and talking to others I am not the only one this has happened to. I will be contacting the news to see if they want to do a story on them.Business Response

All though we never want a loan to fall into repossession unfortunately this happens when a customer fails to live up to there signed commitments. We apologize if there was a confusion on the customers part but this was caused by a lack of making payments in a promised timely manner. As for the credit bureau it should be placed there per the signed contracts but we are attempting to make arrangements for it not to be placed against the customers.
Therefore this loan is now ended.

I purchased a car from this finance company. Three weeks later it broke down. Non drivable. They picked it up on 4/11 and took it to a repair shop. Repair shop stated that they could not look at it until 4/24. Finance company told me that I couldnt get a liner or rental until the shop looked at my car. They also still want me to make a payment on something that I dont have in my possession. This has caused me to miss several days at work resulting in me not having enough money to cover the payment. They are not willing to defer the payment or work with me. Please help.Business Response

I purchased a 2011 GMC Terrain may 2022. First day there was issues, we were told tire pressure or balance, so went and had it looked at. Our AWD vehicle was not AWD, all the parts, transfer case and everything all the way back had been removed. I kept making payments and the *********** the car for months due to using faulty used parts. I still made payments on the Terrain. **** sent it to 4 garages including the dealership. The rear end was replaced multiple times along with much more. There were several things that needed fixed and no one wanted to work on it because **** refused to pay what it would cost. Finally in September we got the car back. We paid for a 3 month warranty and was told that we would have it for 3 months after we got the car back. I will never know because we have called and called but **** never would get on the phone or call back about things we still needed. Ball joints bad, cv joints and boots bad, oil disappearing somewhere but not leaking out. I called for months but he refused to get with us. I asked them numerous times to just let us know where I needed to take the car for the warranty...no responses. So here we are June *********************************************************************************************************************************************************** the condition the Terrain is in and then refuse the warranty coverage that was paid for is unacceptable. The *** sounds like it is going to fall apart at any moment. Now if we give it back it ruins mycredit I have worked on for quite some times in order to hopefully buy a house next year. I would like to just end the contract they can have the vehicle and simply wipe this from my credit as if it never happened.Initial Complaint

I currently have a car loan with Wilcos finance in ********** ** when I first got the vehicle it wasnt Long after the engine went out in the vehicle the vehicle was taken back to the mechanic 2 ************** due to engine repair/replace I wanted a vehicle replacement but I was denied that I now have had the vehicle for 7 months now I tried calling them to refinance the loan to bring my monthly payments down due to me being on disability they refused to do so for me which puts me in a even more bind at the moment I am requesting either a full refund or they can put me in something else that doesnt have any problems to the engine or anything else.
