Complaint Summary:Misleading Free Trial and Unauthorized Billing Complaint Details:I signed up for a free 7-day trial with ************************** on July 7, 2025, and only used the service for one day. Surprisingly, I received an email on July 8, 2025, stating that my subscription had expiredjust one day into the trial period, despite the advertised 7-day duration.I formally canceled the service by email on July 11, 2025and followed up again the same day. However, there is no visible cancelation option on their website, and the interface on my mobile phone was not user-friendly. In fact, I was unable to properly use or download the document I created due to system limitations.Despite canceling within what should have been the trial window, I was charged $49.95 on July 15, 2025. I have since disputed the charge with my credit card provider.I believe Legal Templates is using deceptive billing practices, bypassing their own advertised terms, and making cancelation intentionally difficult to trap users into automatic billing. Within the last week I have gotten notices that ***** was taken out from **************************** . I have never signed up for this service or got a trial membership. Its getting ridiculous as they have sent multiple charges to my card. I dont even know how they got my information. This is ridiculous and I cant believe how many people have gone through this. I dont even know how to cancel this as I never signed up. This company is scamming people out of money and they charge multiple times. On July 9, 2025 I went to use my debit card and found out a ***** charge was made to it by **************************. This website allows you to use a free week trial to see their website. I did not approve use of my debit card for the purchase. I called the website to cancel, however, no one answers the phone. I just wanted to make sure that the charge for the service would not be applied if I immediately cancelled the ******** fears were realized whenI foundout they did indeed charge my credit card. The card was accessed through autofill on my computer. I immediately contacted your company to have the charge reversed (disputed). I was told the charge could not be disputedwhile in the pending stage.When I went to the Better Business Website I saw many complaints for unauthorized charges with **************************. I do believe they are running this website as a scam.Please have the money placed back in my account. I signed up for a supposedly free trial (charged $1.00 anyway) and was charged on 7.14.25 a ***** monthly subscription fee. Today, same day of 7.14.25, this billing was reported to them via their only contact method (chat) and rather than honor my request for a refund they continued to try to sell their services at a reduced cost down to 4.95! I told them I only tried the trial out of curiosity as I have legal services through my employer and they continued to push their services.I requested they provide a full refund and they refused doing so. I was charged four times by ************************** for a subscription I never knowingly signed up for. I did not receive a single notification before any of the charges, nor did I receive any receipts or confirmation emails afterward. I only found out about these charges while reviewing my credit card statement.When I contacted the company, they confirmed that I had never used the service during those months. However, they refused to refund me, claiming their system does not allow refunds after the trial period ends. I signed up for the $1 trial on 06/24/25 as I wanted to try out a template they had. I tried to cancel my membership on 06/27/25 (way before my trial period ended) and could not do it online. I called their customer service number ************ so they could help me cancel. Was told it was canceled. I saw on my bank account today (7/3/25) that I had a charge for $48.95 from Legal Templates even though I had canceled the trial membership before the charge was supposed to go through. I went online on their "chat" and was told they dont have that number any longer which made no sense when someone answered with Legal Templates name. Agent kept trying to keep me on their monthly services by reducing the monthly fee several times all the way down to $4.95 a month. I kept saying no. Long story short, they said they were going to cancel my account but was not going to reimburse me as I passed their "Trial Period". This company does illegal practices. Do not try to sign up for their free trial as you will get charged even though you cancel it on time. I am not sure how they get away with this type of ethics and it is sad. I will try to dispute this with my bank and see what occurs from this. But I want to warn others of trying out their free trial because you will get charged their high monthly fee even though you cancel before. NOT WORTH IT!!!Business Response

I cancelled the trial subscription during the the free trial subscription and I did not think anymore of it. I received a letter of welcome on June 15, 2025. I went to my Credit Card history and found that I have been charged from February 2025 to June 2025 *****. I've attempted to speak with customer service representatives on the credit card and thru their chat service but no live person ever answers the phone or chat (only the auto bot). Please get my money back as I cannot contact anyone at Lefaltemplates. I have the 5 copies of the charges and letter of welcome. I am seeking a refund, as I have not used this, and didn't know it had not been cancelled until the welcome letter I received June 2025. (which has been the only thing I ever received from them) I went on "my account" by resisting my password and nothing shows as billing and no documents either.
