    Timothy D. J******, representing himself as Pro Level Renovations, LLC, contracted with us to renovate all three bathrooms in our home (2.5 baths). This work began April 5, 2023, with demolition of our Master Bathroom. Work continued on this space and our half-bath for several weeks. The half-bath was finished, minus punch list. Mr. J****** was somewhat communicative during this span, but often his crew would not show up as promised. He was always ready with excuses (car trouble, water leaks, traffic court, etc.). On May 22, work had slowed, and we expressed concern about progress of the project, as we were expecting a countertop installation a few days later, and flooring was not done as it should have been. Mr. J******'s communications stopped at that point altogether (despite calls, texts, etc.). We did not hear from him again until June 6, when he made an appointment with us (for which he did not show, or call to cancel). We formally suspended our project on June 15th, prior to a vacation, and expressed extreme dissatisfaction with his conduct. Upon our return on July 6, we met with Mr. J****** to agree on a project completion timeline. He promised completion of all work by August 15, including the remaining full bath. Shortly afterward, he again stopped returning messages - aside from one crew member appearing for less than an hour, we never saw him or his team again. Mr. J****** has absconded with the money we paid him to complete the project, and in addition caused extra damage to our home in the process of completing the portion of work that has been done. We seek to recoup the money for unfinished work, repair of additional damage, and additional cost required to hire another contractor to finish the job. Mr. J****** also fraudulently represented himself to us as a licensed contractor (providing someone else's contractor number), failed to inform us of the dissolution of his business in May, and failed to obtain required permits for the work performed.

    Tim and his team made our bathroom remodel process a living nightmare. I hesitated to write a review as I feared retaliation, but I feel as though I am obligated to warn consumers from our costly mistake. Tim and his team began demo on schedule the day planned, and actually spent the entire day dismantling our bathroom. This demo would be last time the men arrived on time or completed a full day of work. I believe this was intentional, as after our only shower was stripped from our home, we were at their mercy for however long they wished to take to complete the project. He also collects the second deposit (almost 90% of total project cost is collected prior to work being complete) so that you are forced to allow them to continue. Every day they were late, and every day Tim and the men had a different excuse. Flat tires, sick mothers, and water leaks were among the excuses. In fact, Tim himself was almost two hours late to his own termination. In the two weeks we allowed the fiasco to continue, the following mistakes were made: Plumbing was not moved as directed, resulting in our plumber having to remove the wall Tim's team had spent over two weeks "repairing." I use that term loosely, as we eventually had to replace the entire drywall. They also patched the drywall without framing out the planned medicine cabinets. Wallpaper was also not completely removed. Backerboard was placed on our floor due to Tim not informing tile installer that it was unnecessary. Tile installer also asked me how to install LVP. (???) We then had to pay new contractor to remove backer board. The men used our landscaping timbers as sawhorses instead of bringing the appropriate equipment. They also damaged a $900 tub, bathroom door, hallway walls, and framework. The shower valve was installed upside down. Tim never once apologized nor took accountability. He finally returned our second deposit after we fired him. If you like excuses, this is the contractor for you.
