1 starIf we could give this 0 stars we would!!!!!!My husband, daughter, and I went into ********* in ************* on 7/12/2025 with the intention of paying cash for a vehicle. When we finally picked out a vehicle, it was time to sign paperwork. After an hour, maybe a little more of waiting, we get the paperwork to look over. Now, we know that when it comes to protection and extra warranties, they are NEVER mandatory, or required to purchase a vehicle. After looking at the paperwork they were trying to charge us a $699 appearance protection plan. We told them we did not want this and asked to take it off. They said it was mandatory to have on there and that there was no way to take it off. We spoke to a manager after looking up the fee on their website. It states that it is included, but not mandatory or required for purchase. When the manager he told us "read it how you want, there is nothing we can do to take it off". We let him know that you are trying to FORCE US TO BUY SOMETHING THAT WE DON'T NEED OR WANT. IT IS NOT MANDATORY BY LAW TO HAVE THIS, NOR DOES IT SAY ANYWHERE ON YOUR WEBSITE OR ****** THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT. If you look it up it actually says that it doesn't have to be on there, and that it is optional to have. We were ready to pay 25k that day in cash to get this car, but instead we walked out. NO DEALERSHIP CAN MAKE YOU BUY A WARRANTY OR PROTECTION PLAN TO GET A VEHICLE FROM THEM. THEY ARE ALL OPTIONAL, YET ECHO PARK ALL TOGETHER SAYS THAT IT IS MANDATORY AND REQUIRED TO BUY THEIR VEHICLES. STAY AWAY FROM ECHOPARK, NO MATTER THE LOCATION!!!!!Review fromPrashant P

1 starWell, Ill tell yathis dealerships got a strange way of doin business. If yall cant come to a deal, they dont shake your hand and part ways like folks ought tothey start callin you names instead. That aint how you treat people. **************** was downright poor, and truth be told, youre probably better off takin your business to a place that treats folks with some decency.Review fromAnn E

1 starI had the car for 3 hours when the front end came apart. I felt the agent knew the car was a lemon/junk by the way she was describing it. She was vague; I thought she was new to her job. She knew the car was unsafe. But sold it to me anyway, never mentioned that I could have been killed. Now I see that ********* has had over 400 serious complaints within a year. These people should be ashamed of themselves for deceiving people.Review frompricilla m

1 starPurchased a vehicle here May 27th, 2025, a 2023 Tiguan driving off the lot the tire pressure light came on next day i drove back they fixed it. a week later the oil light came on that my oil was low so i got it topped off at a nearby oil change company considering the dealer is 40 mins from where i live. two weeks later I'm in traffic and the low coolant light comes on so i go to the store buy it and top it off at this point now I'm noticing there is an oil leak when i looked under the hood of my car. i take my car to the nearest ********** dealer for services and now i have a $1400 bill for oil leaks that were on the vehicle way before i bought the car, new spark plugs were needed etc. When i contacted Echo park they basically wiped their hands from the situation since its right after my 30days of buying the vehicle when all these issues were already on the car.Review fromKelly H

1 star, I was trying to purchase a car today and some guy named *** was being very very disrespectful and rude using racial slurs against another coworker, and his name was ********* that was the guy that was helping me find me a car. Hes an awesome guy, but the way that that *** *** was talking to him should not be acceptable. I hope you guys take accountability and do what youre supposed to do and take the correct actions against that worker because that was very wrong of him. I will not be buying anything from you guys until you get rid of that guy and any other guys that uses any racial slurs against any other workers or customers I will let everyone know that this company its not a good company to buy a car from unless you guys get rid of that *** *** with his big body selfReview fromChris D

1 starMy wife and have been to this business several times, this will be the last time. I purchased an F150 truck, yes it was "as is" but the funniest thing is that the following day the engine light came on! I strongly feel that they knew that the light was on and they still sold me this truck. I contacted the salesperson, who very quickly said, it was "as is" no return. I wasn't looking for a return, I was hoping that since I was a repeat customer that at least they would take a look. I mean, this just happened the NEXT DAY! My goal here is to alert other buyers, I would not advise you to shop here, this could happen to you as well.Review fromJohn P

1 starMy wife & I are expecting our 3rd child in September. We looked into EchoPark & were pleased with what we read about them, including the fact that they promise a 190-point inspection on every vehicle they sell. We went to the EchoPark in Irondale, traded in my sedan & purchased a 2012 Honda Odyssey on 05/20/2025. We brought the car back within the 30 day warranty for a new headlight & due to some rattling in the undercarriage (what we thought may just be a loose pipe of some sort). We were told several days after dropping it off, that the engine was no good & they could not give us the car back. We weretold we could look at another Odyssey, which the brought in from Atlanta for us. After I had inspected the second Odyssey, they told me we would need to pay a little more than $2k extra for the new van. I told them due to the fact that they sold us a vehicle with a faulty engine (they either did the 190-point inspection, knew the vehicle was not good & sold it anyway, OR they failed to do the 190-point inspection, & sold it anyway), which for all we know could have been detrimental to my pregnant wife & my 5-year-old & 4-year-old daughter, they shouldn't be asking for the additional $2k, & simply apply what we paid for the first Odyssey to the new one. They refused to do this, despite the danger they could have put my family in by selling us a vehicle which was more than likely not properly inspected. At this point, they had already sent my sedan off to be auctioned, & we were left with one car (mind you I'm the only one working in my household & my wife is in her 3rd trimester with many doctor's appointments ahead for her pregnancy). They left us high & dry with one car due to their negligence in selling a faulty vehicle & refused to work with us to we wouldn't be left short handed. They may have violated the lemon law in AL. NEVER shop at EchoPark in Irondale. Their vehicles may not be properly inspected (like ours) & you may be in danger due to this.Review fromHayley P

1 starEchopark in Roseville is absolutely horrible. I came in to buy a BMW 530i with a preapproved loan. The company has signs that state you can use your own financing. This was a lie as the salesperson only wanted to sell the loan and would not accept my pre approved loan and want to force the expensive extended warranty at 9000 for the vehicle and did not include maintenance. This company is terrible and will never buy anything here as they wasted my time and treated me terrible. I do not know if corporate knows but this place is operating very poorly with customer service being their last concern. They have decent price on car but they push the PermaPlate which was not done on the vehicle. (I know as I am a experienced car detailer and the vehicle did not have wax or shine that a Permaplate would do)Review fromJ. W

1 starThey are quick to remind you, time and again, that they don't negotiate price and that they are "like Carmax." While that's not a new business model, usually other places don't overlook obvious and potentially damaging issues with their cars. Overall impression of ********* was a general sense of laziness among the staff, lack of preparation and product knowledge, unfamiliarity with their systems and absence of hospitality. The car in question, a '15 ***** RC350, checked all the boxes. It had some cosmetic issues but overall, it presented well. But the car had an incredible vibration at idle (likely failed engine mounts). And because ********* is obstinate and unwilling to fix any issue that isn't required by state inspection, we left. Priced at $24,299, the price increased to $27,300 after taxes, tags and fees. For that extra $3k, you have the luxury of paying them to wipe their hands clean of any issues on the car, and instead letting you pay for further repairs. After we left, we received a call from "*****", regurgitating the same line that the car "passed their 194-point inspection with flying colors." Comedically, he followed that up by saying they noticed a "slight vibration" and that it could use a tune up. But rest assured, IT PASSED THEIR 194-POINT INSPECTION! If that wasn't enough to bring a laugh, he said they "replaced both rear shocks and struts." Is it any wonder why people don't trust car salesmen? It's one or the other, pal! ***** stated that while they noticed these issues, their shop ******* said "there is nothing mechanically wrong with the car" and they won't do anything further to it. Which means, YOU get to buy a broken car! In summary, I'll agree they're like Carmax, but more like a dime store version. They're a used car lot full of used car salesmen, with all that implies. They tout that their prices are cheaper than the competition but bear in mind, the issues with the car and their excessive fees may likely surpass their competitors.
