This began in July 2024. I had a salesman come to my door and convinced me to give their pest control service a try. They told me it would be $40 a month and the salesman even sent me a text message with a template to send to customer service, were I do decide cancel service. A couple months ago, I attempted to end the service and close my account, when they informed me that this was a 12 month service agreement and I would have to pay over $200 to stop the service. I told them their salesman didnt inform me of this and that i found this behavior to be unethical and predatory. They basically said tough and continued to try to get me to pay their fee. Upon looking into this company more, its apparent that they use these dishonest practices to trap people in service agreements without their knowledge. There have been a multitude of people give almost this exact testimony about this company and their behavior. Several of those testimonies were filed here. Im not looking for any type of refund or anything like that. I just want my account closed and to have no further contact from this company. They are intentionally dishonest to their customer base and they should not be allowed to take advantage of consumers in such a way.

We are very sorry for the customers desire to cancel the service.  We truly want to help all of our customers with their pest ********************** needs.  However, we disagree with Mr. ******* attack on our integrity.  We exude a lot of effort to ensure our customers are fully aware of our service terms.

The first step we take is in the initial digital agreement form.  This is where the customer provides 2 signed initials.  One of those initials is in agreement to the length of the service term, the cancellation process and the billing schedule of that term.  The length is 12 months and the billing is monthly. Both of these items are literally in BOLD and CAPITAL lettering. The cancellation fee is the difference between our regular first service pricing and the discount provided him for signing up when he did.  In his case that fee is $259.00.

The second signed initial is agreeing to the payment type of credit or debit card.  In addition to these two signed initials, there is a full signature at the bottom of the sheet agreeing to everything on the sheet.

An additional step we provide to make sure the customer is aware of the terms and billing is a physical printed Welcome Form with 5 questions that require the customers signature and signed initials before their first service.   This form states that the customer is aware of the 12 month term and monthly billing cycle.

A third step that we have taken to ensure full transparency to our current and potential customers is that at the top of our website, it is very plainly stated that, All of our customers receive an initial 12 month quarterly service plan that is paid on a monthly basis.

All of these steps have been taken to provide an honest and thorough expectation to our customers as what to expect for our service terms.

With that, we have documented recorded copies of both the General Agreement and Welcome Form with Mr. ******* seven signed initials and two fully signed signatures confirming he was made aware and is fully aware of all terms of our services we have been providing him.  Even with those signatures when he called our office to cancel his services, we made him aware of these recorded copies and still offered him a 25% discount on the cancellation fee.  This was not a satisfactory response to him.  We would be happy to continue to honor that discount to cancel his services, but would be unable to do anything beyond that.

I am rejecting this response because:

They cant even be honest in their response to claims against them for being dishonest. I have never spoken to them by phone. Largely due to the fact that after realizing the type of people I was dealing with, I would never have a conversation with them off the record.  Also, they never offered any type of discount on their cancellation fee.  Every correspondence weve had has been in writing.

Id like to address their indignant response about their service agreement.I entered this agreement in good faith. Was I aware the service was for 12 months? Yes. However, as documented on video, I asked directly if I could cancel the service at any time. Without hesitation, their salesman said absolutely. No fee mentioned. He then went on to tell me he was going to text me a template to use to cancel service, were I to decide to do so. In addition to this, its not as if I were handed an agreement to review. He took my information on his registration device, then handed me the device, conveniently only showing a place for signatures and initials. It was then emailed after he left. Again, I entered this agreement in good faith. Meanwhile, an agent of their company blatantly misrepresented the terms of the agreement.

They also mention I signed their welcome card. Ive provided a copy of this card, from their customer portal, showing yet again, no mention of a cancellation fee.

A company with integrity would do the appropriate thing in this situation and release the customer from the agreement that was entered into under false pretense.

If I had any indication that there was an early cancellation fee, I would have never signed up. I took their employee at face value, and its one of the biggest regrets I have in recent memory. So, if Legion continues to not want to honor my request, I will continue to use all alternative avenues available to me, until there has been a sufficient resolution to this matter.

Despite his response and not agreeing with him and his alleged lack of awareness of the required 12 month term commitment, I will allow him to cancel his services without any further fees or penalties.

Predatory sales tactics. The door-to-door salesman told us it would cost $50 for the first service and we would have 3 weeks to cancel if we didnt like the results. No cancellation fees were ever mentioned during sign up even despite us asking multiple times. We explicitly, repeatedly asked and were told we would only be charged $50 with free cancellation. The first service was sprayed while it was actively raining and did nothing for the mosquitoes in the yard. We complained that the spray was done in the rain and requested a re-do, but we were ignored. We called back to cancel within the 3 week window, and they said wed have to buy out the rest of the contract to cancel! After reading more reviews its clear that this is the companys established business tactic.
