1 starDr ************************* replaced my knee twice and the 2nd time he cut my Tibial tray to wide causing my knee to buckle and move side to side, he cut my Tibial tray with to much slope, I had instability walking & fell many times & hurting myself, it stayed that way for 14 months, very swollen, warm, & lots on several pain,until I had another complete reconstructed knee surgery by another knee surgeon, I will & wouldn't recommend Dr ************************** to do a knee replacement on any one!!!!, signed, ***************************OrthoCarolina

1 starBilling system is terrible. Received a bill in the mail and promptly went on line to have my bank process payment. A few days later I arrived for appointment and was told (without any warning) that I could not see doctor until my outstanding balance was paid. Explained that the bill had been paid, but it takes some days for the check to arrive from my bank. No one cared and I was forced to pay a second time. After calling OrthoCarolina billing department I was told that even though my bank has listed my check as having cleared, it still had not been posted though its system and, after that happened, they would process a request for reimbursement that I might receive within two weeks. We are supposed to wait for their system to process and mail payment, but they are not willing to do the same for their patients. The system could easily be modified to give patients a few days for payments to reach them and clear, but they seem totally uninterested in doing so.OrthoCarolina

1 starGot there for the appointment and waited for an hour and 20 minutes. Found out the Dr we requested was off and never was going to be there that week. I had a dr but was looking to change. Requested my ** pay be refunded and will never go back. Went out to the parking lot which was mostly empty. Very poor first impression.OrthoCarolina

1 starI'm a veteran and they're trying to double bill me. I saw them for consult for a hip replacement but didn't go through with it. The VA sent me there and they were paying for the operation, but Ortho sent me the bill instead of the VA. I called VA twice to get it taken care of and they gave Ortho a claim number and even stayed on the phone to make sure they got the information for the payment. Ortho is still sending me a bill for the same and have now written it off to collections who has been contacting me. The VA paid them but they're still trying to collect the same payment from me. I'll never pay that bill, I don't owe it. And I'll never use them againOrthoCarolina

1 starMy son's football trainer said he needed to get his hand xrayed after practice because it might be fractured. We went to Orthocarolina and received a bill for $634. $276 of this was for a brace that I could have gotten on Amazon for $25. This is unethical and just all around bad business. I understand a convenience mark up. But this is highway robbery. I will NOT be going back to Orthocarolina. And I'm going to tell everyone I know about this experience. No consumer watch dogs out there anymore looking out for the little guys. Shame on you Orthocarolina. Do better.OrthoCarolina

1 starHonestly * don't understand WHY ****.Reviews aren't used in the calculation of BBB Rating, SHOULD BE!Only reason * came to ortho Carolina is my Dr came there from Novant.My Dr is a skilled surgeon and has completed, 2 spine surgeries at Ortho and 1 at Novant 2010.Oct 2022 * asked to go for a little more Physical therapy to help my muscles and spine. My Dr * * decided to go to outside PT co. After a 2 weeks, woman left msg late on a Fri. The woman D*DN'T leave her name. Called Ortho Mon * NO ONE KNEW WHO CALLED ME, AND EVERYTH*NG WENT CRAZY. * called the outside company and owner said no, * don't have an order for you to come here. * continued to call Ortho for help. F*NALLY * just told Ortho "just let me come to Ortho for PT". Ortho called over a week later. Went to 1st visit * after giving reception my name the woman said " YOU OWE MONEY, YOU WANT TO PAY NOW" Told her * didn't have ANY PAPERWORK. She said, so you're not going to pay? * NEED MY B*LL 1ST! Yesterday Dec 8, 2022 * went for PT and the woman said" YOU OWE MONEY AND YOU WANT TO PAY NOW?" * TOLD HER NO, *'LL PAY WHEN * GET A B*LL. SHE KEPT ON AND ON ABOUT *T! * TOLD HER PLEASE, * WOULD CALL THE OFF*CE. SHE TOLD ME SHE WAS PUTT*NG ALL TH*S *N COMPUTER!!!!! * HAD TO LEAVE * NOT TAKE PT. *'M NOT GO*NG BACK TO COMP HARRASS*NG PEOPLE BEFORE * GET A B*LL! ******** hasn't even sent explanation yet.TH*S *S HARRASSMENT PLA*N AND S*MPLE. 1 star**************** saw me for less than 15 minutes and judged me as a middle aged over weight hypochondriac. I went to a nerve specialist and found out through a nerve conduction test that I have nerve damage in my neck. I will never visit another Orthocarolina location again. I am all about doing the necessary physical therapy needed to heal as I had already lost **************************************************************************************** my most painful medical experience to date.OrthoCarolina

The OrthoCarolina Careline representative left messages with the patient on three separate occasions, but she never returned the calls. 1 starThis is to the office help and assistants to **************** I have never been so disgusted and how I was treated not just in person but over the phone. Dr. ******* assistant was so rude to me both times she called 2 days before my appointment to tell me that I needed to get my mris which I totally understand needing them but had she mentioned when I drove an hour there to see a his PA so that I could explain to her and had an appointment what was going on since getting injections she was very cold said I needed to go to an E* I said I am not going because the spinal doctor who has done the past 2 surgeries was out of the country and I dont want anyone to touch me I am in so much pain then I get a phone call later asking me if the PA was able to help me from one of the other office girls I explained to her that Dr. * asst. told me there was nothing they could do there for me and she said thats not what the PA said that she agreed to see me. I had gotten 6 different phone calls while in the office from the office but none were on the same page then today Dr. ******* assistant ***** or ****** told me she was going to cancel my appt if I couldnt get imaging I explained yo her I am immobile at the moment and I would do my best she was very cold I explained to her this was the worse experience I have ever had then she proceeded to argue and tell me I was wrong when there is 2 other people sitting next to me listening to her being so rude on the phone your supposed to help people ease them not argue bad customer relation skills. That whole office of people need to get on the same page people dont ask to be in pain and I have never been rude or raised my voice but Dr. ******* office assistant did. And then I have never seen an office blame everyone else saying this one is just an office person this one cant do this and his assistant def. 1 starMy complaint is against the billing department at OrthoCaroline ONLY! I have a ******** Set Aside (***) and all bills related to my injury is to be paid from the *** account. OrthoCaroline required me to pay a deposit of $****** on 02/10/22 before I could be seen and stated once the charges were processed I would get a statement and refunded the difference, as of Aug 9, 2022 none of the above happened. I started calling OrthoCaroline from time to time during the last 6 mos with no resolution. I then started asking to speak with a supervisor whos name is ***********************. I came to expect *********************** to be bust and unavailable to speak and never returns call. Unfortunately, since Covid-19 I have had lots of experience with the supervisor of OrthoCarolinas billing department not returning calls. After 6 months of this nonsense and ******** requiring information from me ASAP and another appointment within 24 hours, I called another department for assistance. ***************************** was kind enough to try getting me some assistance. All I needed was the billing department to process my **** that had been pre-paid with a deposit, refund the difference and send a paid statement for myself and ********s records! My phone call week of 8/1/22, I was told a refund for ****** was being issued but I needed to wait until two other bills non-related to my injury was paid by my two insurances. I explained, my deposit has nothing to do with any other **** and the funds from my *** account can NOT be used to pay for any **** non-related to my injury!!!! As of August 9, 2022 one day shy of six months since the deposit was given, Im still waiting on a resolution! OrthoCarolina please resolve what ***** broken in your billing department!!!!!OrthoCarolina
