Everything was great until the day of my closing. The notary agent, *******, was 15 minutes late. My wife unexpectedly had to go to work, so the ******* left the paperwork for her to sign. An hour later, I abruptly received an email saying my loan was withdrawn. I called Figure for an explanation, and they could not give me one. This clearly is a result of the color of my skin, discrimination. ******* is a different race than me; the ONLY explanation.

As an active duty serviceman I have never been more disrespected or insulted than by this company. They advertise that they are lightning quick and they are far from it. Its been a month after applying for a loan and they havent responded. I have emasculate credit +750, provided all documentation needed and supporting documents to validate any concerns yet this company does not have the capacity to follow through and address basic business transactions. Let it be known if this company cannot service qualified customers can you imagine their service toward customers that have blemished credit history. STAY AWAY!!!! They are not even BBB accredited. Had I knew this I would never have given them the time of day. I trusted www.Bankrate.com and their referrals. This was a ****** learned.

    Hello *****,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any frustration you experienced with our process. Our automated platform is what allows us to process applications so quickly and works well for most customers. However, some unique circumstances require manual intervention, which will naturally slow the process down. We encourage you to reach out to our customer service team if you have any other questions or concerns.

If I could give them negative stars, I would! STAY AWAY from this company!!! They are the most grossly incompetent company I've ever worked with! **************** doesn't listen at all and do a terrible job of documenting requests and adjustments! I have a mortgage with ONLY me and my dad on it. My parents have their own home and neither of them live at my home. However, Figure insisted on included my wife and my mother on the ***** application as well. This was actually my SECOND application. My FIRST application was denied because of a lien on a property for someone that is NOT related nor has anything to do with me or my family!!! First red flag, I guess. I submitted another application anyway. My parents live about 45 minutes away from the notary office. We had to go to THREE separate notary sessions! The first time, my documents weren't ready in time, and we wasted a trip to the notary office without any indication of when the documents would be ready. The second time, they never corrected my mom's name on the application after I asked them to so they couldn't accept those signed documents. They told us we would have to schedule a 3rd notary appointment. I also asked them to update some email addresses, which they never did either. We finally met the 3rd time and finished our documents with the corrected info. Then I got an email 2 days ago asking to reschedule YET AGAIN for some corrections!! I called them and they said it was an error and was assured all seemed well and in the application was still in progress. Only for them to call me the *** BEFORE my ***** was supposed to fund to tell me that in *****, everyone on the application needs to live at the house!! Like nobody could have reviewed and determined this from the beginning?? Not even the lawyers that delayed my documents in the first place?? I feel I've been jerked around by this company back and forth from beginning to end! What a complete waste of time!

My husband and I applied for a home equity loan, they were able to process the full Application under my name without even speaking to me. They were willing to deposit $100,000 into a bank account that My name was not on and refused to change it. When I called to file a complaint about this, they refused to lend to us at all and closed our application the day funding was supposed to be deposited. They are a joke, terrible customer service and a scam. Go to a more reputable company

Figure is the ABSOLUTE WORST in customer service, my husband ******************* applied about 3 weeks ago and no one calls or responds to messages from him. They needed trust papers, which he has sent to them. I'm at a loss as to why they don't call, email or text ***************** with the status or questions. Leaves me wondering if they don't need the business. They are horrible.

They send out these pre-qualified mailers but the process is c*** They hide behind the total online app. And in my so called application process it just froze. Most likely because I paid off two credit cards. To be honest I am not sure. It just seems kind of scammy to me. It is just really a poor way to do business. My application is stuck in limbo.

Hello ******,Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry that you had a frustrating experience. Ultimately, final approval is determined by the applicant's detailed financial profile, including current credit score, outstanding debt, income, property value and type. Currently, Figure only accepts property types that are single family residences, townhomes, condos (such as mid rise and high rise), or planned unit developments. If our independent data sources are unable to verify some aspects of the profile, the application cannot move forward. The good news is that prequalification has no affect on credit. For your privacy, we reached out to you directly via email to go into more detail on your application specifically.Your Friends at Figure ******************************* ************

When I inquired about a Line of Credit on my house from Cross Country Mortgage, I was directed immediately to the Lending Company, Figure. I did not have terms explained to me by Figure, in a way I understood. I did not know the term "initial draw" meant once Figure DUMPED the full amount of the loan in my account, it was an "initial draw". The dumping of the full amount into my account immediately was not my choice but mandatory. I was required to open my account to them as a requirement of opening the credit line. When I paid back the money in full that very day, is when I was charged not the original sum of $40,000 (which was the amount of the one of credit and was told I had to pay back $42,000 was when I realized I had to pay $2000 over the Line of Credit amount. I understood I would be responsible for a 9.4 interest rate when used. When I asked the Figure accounts overseer about it, that very day, she shrugged me off saying "it's in your HELOC". If I had understood, I could have refused the loan at that time because I had 3 days to do so. When I had a chance to think it over, I called the person who had brokered the line of credit, he said he would try to call on my behalf and emailed me a page of options which I had NEVER seen before. The page was a page of options with one square shaded in saying I would be charged ****% of the whole amount on the "initial draw". The Notary also did not go over any fees or salient points with me either. The whole thing was slap dash and hurried. I closed the line of credit completely when I got notices from financial institutes saying my credit score had gone down because of the line of credit, even though I owed nothing on it. I got Nothing out of this line of credit and paid over $2300 for a line of credit of $40,000 I never used it because I did not trust Figure as a fiduciary institution. Quite the opposite, they were not forthright or at all concerned about me, the borrower.
