Bryan of AquaMan told me to buy Spa Purge on ******,follow the directions and he would come within 48 hours of me adding Spa Purge to drain and clean, fix the drain, and refill. He said he charged $120 for doing the purge and encouraged me to do it on my own to “save me money” but I have some physical challenges making that an undesirable option He was unable to fix the drain, but pumped out my hot tub, wiped it out, cleaned my filters, and refilled it. Without any communication with me he then over chlorinated my hot tub when I wanted to use Bromine. Bryan accidentally created hydrochloric acid which began dissolving my headrests and leaving a thick sticky black grease in my hot tub. Bryan had such faith in chlorine to dissolve the black grease that he assured me the tub would be able to clear it. I removed the 3 head rests and washed them which did not stop the chemical reaction. After researching the chemical reaction between Spa Purge and chlorine I soaked the head rests in a highly alkaline environment to stop the acid dissolving them. When I checked the next day to see if the chlorine had cleared the grease, I discovered there was no power to the tub, and it was just as bad as the day before plus there was a black ring of grease all around my tub plus undissolved chlorine powder in every depression of my tub and filter area, large blobs of yuck floating through the tub, and white chlorine ring visible on all the dark material in the tub. The chlorine badly corroded the heating element causing a short within 24 hours. Bryan would not help and told me to call an electrician who confirmed the tub was the issue. Another company replaced my heating element. Bryan caused extreme damage through either his negligence or ignorance. If he refunds my money it still cost me $250.00 for the service call to replace my damaged heating element, and $243.00 to have an electrician establish the electrical supply was working, and many hours to drain and refill my tub twice.
