As a Levite of international royal lineage sending both the Lewisburg, ** Office and Executive of the company formal complaints without any dignity in even receiving my certified receipt mail I give notice of grievance now to the courts. My time is valuable as a sovereign. I can not recommend this organization to anyone. They are 100 percent for themselves. With regret, despite any correspondence of accountability, they face criminal and civil charges. I would give them a zero. Do not waste your hard earned money or time with these lack luster people. They are in it for self gain and not your families future!Review from Curt Allen C

Edward Jones requires clients to conduct all financial advisory services through their system of branch offices. I have found those branch offices severely lacking in business management and financial advisory skills. The branch offices typically don't understand their headquarters procedures and practices nor can they administer those procedures and practices. Markups on fixed income investments are extremely high. Commissions on stocks trades are extremely high. Significant errors on year end ****'s are very common, and resolution of those **** errors are not easy to achieve. One STAR rating is too high for Edward Jones.Review from Ron C

First off, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have no problem with *****************, our Edward Jones (EJ) financial advisor based in *********, **. He's a gentleman, as well as a good friend and money manager. I feel sorry for ****, since he has to try to defend the incessant ineptitude exhibited by the Edward Jones management team and support staff at its corporate office in *********, **.The litany of malfeasance we've experienced over the last 18 years is long and mind boggling, but the latest and one of the more egregious examples is expounded upon below. It truly defies the laws of reasoning, let alone common sense. We asked that our ************************ Distribution (QCD) checks be made out to the respective charities at their respective addresses, then "put into one windowless envelope and mailed to us at our home address," so that we could mail them ourselves and include a personal note to each charity. We were absolutely assured by EJ corporate that our instructions were explicitly followed. Despite their deceitful assurances, each of the checks was made out to the various charities, BUT at OUR home address, then ALL of the checks were mailed in the same envelope to one of the charities. A representative of that charity contacted me and asked why he had received all of the checks. I explained that Edward Jones is the most inept stock broker on the planet and that this is just the latest example. He said that he had heard that before and was not at all surprised. It is painfully apparent that Edward Jones is not a competent and trustworthy fiduciary of our retirement portfolio. But, switching brokerage firms is messy and very expensive or we would have dropped them years ago. We just want this to serve as a warning to anyone who is searching for a brokerage firm to handle their investments. Caveat Emptor.Review from Laurie S

We have been with Edward Jones for years, when we were younger, they were great and seemed truly interested in our financial future. As we got closer to our retirement age, our original advisor pawned us off to someone new, this has now happened twice to us and please note, we informed our current advisor we would be retiring next March and what do you know, he has now pawned us off to someone new again just starting out with Edward Jones. I guess each advisor must only make their money off younger clients contributing more than our $300 a month and only want older clients with millions in their accounts. So disappointed in Edward Jones and their business model. 50 years ago, my mother started with them and they were a much different company back then. Her advisor stuck with her until she passed away and honestly cared about her. Now we are all just dollar signs to them. Such a shame.Edward Jones Response

Im reaching out regarding a complaint on a financial advisor of yours that I know has been running background checks and pulling financial information on multiple people without their consent. Her name is ***************************, out of ******** **. We were friends for a short time, during this time as I would date people she would call me and tell me she was pulling background checks on them without their consent. I would tell her I didnt feel comfortable with that as I didnt want to know any dirt on them. I realized this was not a person I wanted to be associated with and blocked her. She then found out I was pregnant recently, and out of retaliation went out of her way to reach out to my babys dad, who she does not know. She realized we were not together and she told him very personal information for him to use against me. I know she ran a background check on ************************* out of ********** ** in October. She also offered to run a background check on *********************** out of **********, ******** (I have proof in a text message attached) When she ran a background check on *************************, she claimed to be a lawyer with your company and wrote up a ************** regarding our breakup situation and emailed it to me (see attached). I will also be reporting this as fraud to the State Bar of *****. Shes also been harassing me by reaching out to my babys father and even went as far as reaching out to an ex boyfriend of mine (*************************) and sharing my medical information and very private conversations I was having with my babys father. Shes asked him if he wanted to be added to the group text chat where shes sharing all this personal information about me. I am going to be handling this legally as well and am in the process of working with an attorney to pursue this in court.Review from Zoya E

I’m writing with complaints about my local branch and the corporate headquarters as well. I asked to close my account with Edward Jones and have the funds from my Roth IRA transferred into my personal checking account. This transaction was supposed to be done Monday, it is Thursday now and there’s no word on when it will be done. ALSO my financial advisor attempted to withdraw funds from my checking without my authorization. There has been no communication, no apology, nothing! I could sue for this, so you’d think they would have better customer service and actually care. Headquarters has been useless, they all have attitudes and tell me to be patient. Why should I be patient? This was not my fault! Not my mistake either, this is something one of your employees did! Fix it! You don’t know my financial situation or what’s going on in my life, telling me to be patient about a lot of money missing is ridiculous. there’s no reason why i should be having to call headquarters every day asking for updates, the person that messed this up, should be calling me every day with updates on what he’s doing to resolve this. He has not communicated with me hardly at all. I am still waiting for my money and my account to be closed, and I have not had any communication with anyone from Edward jones yet today…so therefore, I am not going to recommend anyone to go to Edward jones for any of their financial needs. They clearly don’t care about their clients and their money. Read the other comments! It’s not just me. That’s just so sad. This company needs to do better. Unauthorized withdrawals are illegal. I shouldn’t have to be patient… and patient for what? There’s no one calling me or answering my messages or emailing me about the funds. Don’t go to these people unless you’re ready to lawyer up. They will play in your face, seriously. 0/5 stars!Review from Marcela R

Edward Jones in *********, **** . My financial advisor didnt have the knowledge regarding stocks and the lack of communication with her was very frustrating. After a few months, I asked her about my high risk stocks, her answer was: oh ! Im sorry, my mistake, I shouldve sold the stocks . I lost a lot of money because of her, my financial adviser.I finally transferred my money to a different company, I have a new financial advisor , what a difference!.Overall, my experience with Edward Jones was a desastre. Im very disappointed, I dont know if she didnt care or she actually didnt know what she was doing.Ill not recommend this financial institution to anyone.
