The dealership knowingly sold a vehicle that is not in good working order. The vehicle has never ran correctly since the date of purchase, 9/13/2024. The dealer attempted to fix the vehicle twice, but has now washed his hands of the situation. So now I'm stuck paying for a vehicle that has never ran right and will currently not even start.

    Business Response

Customer purchased this vehicle "AS IS" indicating such with signature on buyers order as well as FTC BUYERS GUIDE. Customer test drove this vehicle prior to purchase and found it satisfactory. Prior to customer's test drive and purchase we and others had driven it over 200 miles without issue. After purchase, customer complained of a drivability issue. On a goodwill basis we took to a franchised dealer for diagnosis. Authorized dealer indicated that the fuel quality sensor was reading a fault. We authorized and paid for repair. The vehicle drove properly and was returned to customer. After driving awhile customer again reported a drivability issue. Again on a goodwill basis we returned the vehicle to the same franchised dealer repair facility. Upon further diagnosis, the dealer found that the fuel tank had E85 fuel in this vehicle that is not a FlexFuel model. We paid to have the tank emptied and the recommended fuel put in. Again this vehicle performed as designed now that the correct regular gasoline was present. After driving for awhile the customer complained again. We had given customer copies of all repair orders and recommended that he return to the factory dealer. The customer refused to take it back to factory repair facility. Instead insisting that we merely buy it back. It was beginning to look more like buyer's remorse or something else other than an issue with the vehicle. I assure you that the vehicle ran perfect when in our possession and on the customer's test drive. We are not sneaking in his driveway at night to sabotage his SUV with E85. Yes, we told customer he was on his own after he became unreasonable, demanding and threatening.
