  My children are just starting out using Acellus Academy and so far seem to really be enjoying it. The new features with Acellus Gold help keep them engaged, and I am excited to have a good way to homeschool them and still allow them to graduate with a diploma.

  My kid is thriving with Acellus Academy. We've used it for two years and enjoy the flexibility to school on our time. They are always adding electives. Today, my kid just started Sign Language and is so thrilled! Thank you for such an amazing program.

  I was not aware one of the graduation requirements was 12 months enrollment. My daughter started her senior year in August 2023 and has met all graduation requirements except the minimum enrollment period which I discovered today. She will now have to take fluff classes and graduate four months later than her peers. I deeply regret choosing Acellus Academy.

  We are sorry to hear there was a misunderstanding. In this circumstance, the student was not yet eligible to graduate because the minimum study period of 12 months had not been completed. Our graduation requirements specify that students must be enrolled and actively engaged in meaningful study for a minimum of 12 months. Requiring a minimum study period is mandatory for us to maintain our accredited status and it allows our school to ensure that students who graduate have the academic foundation to succeed in future studies. To avoid confusion, we publish these requirements on our website and require parents to agree to them at the time of enrollment. While we are unable to bend on this requirement, we are happy to answer any additional questions you may have. We wish you and your student all the best!

  I started this online school after my child struggled to stay engaged in public school due to non-challenging work. Regrettably, I paid for the full year upfront. I quickly learned that these "self-paced" courses are actually self-taught, as no instructors are involved, only very short, recorded lectures, and the curriculum is much less challenging than even that of the public school. My child is able to complete the full week's courses and required assignments in about one hour. I am left to fill in with the additional instruction and assignments required to keep my child engaged and meeting the educational requirements of my state. I also learned that the same content is available through Power Homeschool for a fraction of the cost with the only difference being the student is officially considered a "homeschool student" (which let's be honest, they really are) instead of an "Acellus student". While I can see how this program may benefit children that struggle to keep up or focus in traditional schools, it is definitely not what I expected from an accredited K-12 school, and not at all what was advertised.

  Thank you for your feedback, Melissa! Rather than relying on group Zoom sessions with a one-size-fits-all approach, Acellus Academy understands that every student learns differently. By offering instruction asynchronously, we can tailor the curriculum to each student’s individual needs. This is supported by synchronous support, allowing students to reach out to their teacher whenever they need help.
  For struggling learners, this method provides extra academic support while advanced learners can progress more quickly without being held back by their peers. As an example, it appears that your student was able to complete their courses at a highly accelerated pace — an achievement made possible through our flexible, self-paced model.
  We allow students to immediately dive into the next grade level of material, helping them become more and more advanced. Additionally, Acellus Academy offers many opportunities to engage in more challenging coursework, such as honors and AP courses (audited and approved by the College Board). This academic rigor is one of the reasons our students excel at the college level. It’s also worth noting that these advanced options are not available through the Power Homeschool program you mentioned. Acellus Academy is fully accredited and issues a high school diploma to students who complete the graduation requirements.

  I removed my kids from this program in less than a week. Beware of all the 5 star-reviews. I would not recommend this program to anyone. It doesn't provide what it claims.

  If you have a child that struggles with anxiety disorder and public school is just way to much for them to handle this is the school for you. I have seen my daughter thrive with this school. She went from having trouble every day to making straight A's and doing it all by herself. And to see her confidence improve by doing school work herself is a big thing because she also has autism. This was best decision we could have ever done

  Acellus has been the best thing I have ever done in regards to my daughters education. She started with AA her sophomore year, and is on track to graduate this coming Spring. AA provides us with the prefect amount of structure and flexibility. My daughter always struggled in school; but has excelled through AA.

  Acellus Academy exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this school for anyone seeking flexibility and quality education for their children from the comfort of their homes. My children learned and developed their independent learning skills. They have learned how to be more resourceful and developed critical thinking when solving problems. My children learned at their own pace and my son was able to graduate in HS ahead of time. I'm proud that my children are Acellus Academy students.
