      My 22-year-old stepson had his vehicle towed to this Certified Transmission location when it was acting up to verify it was not a transmission issue. They said on their invoice they did road test, under car inspection. He let them know it was slipping and lurching when driving. They wanted to charge him $5000 to rebuild or put a new transmission in. My husband said we were not putting that money into an old vehicle and went to pick it up. When he did, they tried to talk him into the new transmission and offered to discount it to $3000, which sent up a red flag to us. My husband drove it, and it seemed fine. We took it to a couple of other shops that did extensive drive testing, including highway driving and more, and both of them said the car was fine and there was NO transmission issue. Glad we got other professional opinions before selling it to cars for cash thinking the transmission was shot. Buyer beware of this location as we understand it had a recent management change. Anytime someone is pushing you to buy a new transmission and offers to drop the price by $2000 when the normal cost is $5000 is trying to rip you off.
