    In October of 2024, I retained EconoTree LLC to cut down a tree in my back yard. I paid them a deposit to reserve a spot on their schedule and the work began in late October or early November of 2024. During their work, they dropped branches on my house, which has a slate roof, and my wrought iron fence, damaging both. I brought this to the attention of the company owner and he committed to arrange for repairs for both issues. Regrettably, I paid the final bill upon the completion of the tree work, but insisted on a statement shown on the final bill that they will take care of the repairs. To date, the repairs have not been made. I have contacted them dozens of times by email, text and phone. These contacts were either disregarded or, if contact was made, no commitment to fix my property resulted. He has not brought any contractors to my house to get bids (even though he committed to do so), so I secured bids on my own and emailed them to the company owner. He did not respond, so I called him to follow up. He said he did not receive what I sent (although I used the same email address I had always used). I sent them again and I called later to discuss. He said he would call me back but he never has contacted me in any way since (by the way, I had to call him on a different phone in order to get him to take the call from a number he didn't recognize). The bottom line is that this company is not trustworthy to keep its word, cannot be trusted to repair damage that they caused to customer property, and is disrespectful to customers by not responding to repeated attempts by the customer to resolve the issue. And finally, due to weather issues when they were finishing the job, they were not able to clean up a lot of tree cutting debris in my back yard. It was stated on the final bill that they would do that, but they never did. I had to clean it up in order to be able to cut my grass this Spring.

    I hired **** ****** (Econotree) on March 12, 2025 to cut down and trim trees, clear fencelines and remove trees stumps in my yard. He asked for a deposit to secure a service date of March 21st. No call/no show. We had had a bad storm on March 14th and he was helping clear trees from houses. I was in agreement with the delay to help others as my service was not an emergency. I asked to reduce the amount of work to be done when he could not produce proof of liability insurance. He agreed to $2400 for everything excluding tree cutting. 2 workers came on April 14th. They trimmed 2 trees, ripped and snapped branches from my Japanese maple tree, cleared, but did not spray the fencelines. (it's all growing back) The ***** removal of an existing old tree and all of the weed trees were to be removed by **** the owner himself. More no call/ no show appts. to finish his job. He now does not answer my calls or texts.

    As of June 22, 2025, this complaint has been resolved. Owner sent refund of amount we agreed upon.
