I took my vehicle in for service on 5/31/2025. I authorized the work to be done which was $404.28 to be exact. I was assured the work was complete however, less than ONE minute after driving off of the lot, the (SERVICE STABILITRAK) light came back on and the car drove worse than before. I took my vehicle right back. The store manager said he just needed to clear the code. However, the store manager came back and told me that there was something else wrong but there was no code. Okay, at this point I am ****** because you playing in my face. I asked for an adjustment in price since the problem was not fixed and was told that I cant give you an adjustment. Okay, well here I come to report this LOCATION!!! Not only did they not fix the brake problem, I dont believe they did an oil change neither because there is no sticker in my window, etc. The guy who worked on my car clocked out and left before I even got my keys to leave. Call it a coincidence or someone was ******* to leave and did a half a** job!!!However, I want ALL of my money back and an apology for bad customer service because I clearly paid for services that were not delivered!!!Business Response

After receiving the complaint, a full investigation was conducted to determine the best course of action. I can confidently confirm the part replaced was necessary however we should have retested after replacement which would have shown the secondary problem which also needed to be addressed. I do not believe we handled it correctly from that point and have reached out to the customer to offer a refund for the money spend out of good faith and an attempt to retain them as a future customer. I was also able to review the camera footage which confirmed we did change the oil. I believe the customer is satisfied with our offered resolution.Customer Answer

I did speak to the District Manager on 6/19/2025 regarding the issue and he was supposed to talk to the owner and call me back. However, I never heard back from the District Manager again. Therefore, no agreement or resolution was reached and I havent received a refund.
Thanks

On 4/18/25 i took my car in for a diagnostic & repair because sometimes my car would idle rough after a long drive. I had no check engine light codes or ************* did not drive bad the only issue was a rough idle after driving for a extended period of time. The technician at meineke perform a diagnostic ********** stated he pulled my spark plugs out to put a camera in to look at my ************** recommended a fuel induction service to fix my ********* agreed to let him perform that service. He stated it will only take a couple of hours to complete so a couple of hours passed & I still haven't received a call so my wife dropped me off to see what is going on & he stated he didn't fix the issue & recommended me to take it to a different repair shop which was very odd. He stated he think I have internal engine issues which was odd as well. He stated he is not going to charge me for the diagnostic check which was odd too but later I found out why because he damaged my car. I drive my ******** check engine light start flashing on & off also my engine feel like it's slipping like the cylinders are misfiring. I called up to the shop to ask what exactly did he do to my ******** got defensive & hung up on me so I called back & the store manager stated to drive the care ******* miles to see if it stop & I told him that is not safe & my car was driving fine before his technician serviced it. So now I'm stuck without a working car because of a mistake they made with my vehicleBusiness Response

As Mr. ***** stated, the check engine light was not on at the time of service. We did not charge him a diagnostic out of good faith and ethical business practice. If a vehicle does not present symptoms while in our care, we will not ask someone to pay for our professional opinion. We did recommend a simple start-here as a generic cleaning to ensure no carbon build up existed in the engine or ports which could cause an inconsistent drivability issue. Unfortunately did not relay all of the issues his car was having which makes it even harder to properly help in a situation like this. Mr. ***** actually had parts he had purchased in his vehicle as he was attempting to fix it himself which added to the complexity. As of today, we have found the problem and offered a solution to Mr. ***** in the spirit of helping and hopefully retaining him as a future customer. So far he has not responded to our offer.Initial Complaint

I went to Meineke on July 15th to get my vehicle checked in to get work done on it.
I needed rotors and brake pads. Meineke did the inspection and I called back on july 17th to see what was going on. Meineke informed me it would cost me 680$ for repairs and I agreed. Later that same day
Meineke called me back stating they couldn't release my vehicle because the brakes were lock up and they would have to install a new caliper which I had already had installed weeks prior as well as a brake line and fluid flush. They told me they could not release my vehicle without these repairs forcing me to agree when I had already told them I only had the original money of 680$ and it was a stretch for me to get that money together now totalling 900+$. Meineke is now saying they have to charge me for storage fees because they have to hold my vehicle there when they already know I didn't have they money in the first place. They are intentionally trying to gain finances I do not have and I feel as tho they are trying to take advantage of the situation. If there is anything you can do to help me I would be very thankful for your help

An agreement was made with Mr. ******* to satisfy his concerns. Meineke did not charge him any storage fees nor a caliper. The caliper had not been purchased from Meineke. Mr. ******* was able to pick his vehicle up and we are happy to service his vehicles in the future.Initial Complaint

I went to Meineke to get my oil changed in February 2023. My motor was blown that day. They eventually replaced my motor with a used one and ever since Ive had that motor I had to add oil continuously to three times a month to my car. When I first noticed that my engine light was coming on, I took it to AutoZone to get a reading because it was free and I was told that my engine was bad and I had no oil in my car. At that time I had already made an appointment with Meineke for an oil change but after I found out that information, I instantly went to Valvoline for an oil change. I took it back to Meineke to let them know that my engine light came on and to see if they can check the problem. I was then told by them that it was nothing wrong and that they were clean the engine. I recently took my car back up to Meineke on 22 of May, because my engine light was on and flashing. I was told I brought the car with no oil in it but I just put oil in it a week before and that they did a reading diagnostic on the car and found nothing. I dropped it off May 22 to go to work and when I picked it up after work and they told me that they added oil once I drove off, my engine light was still blinking in my car was smoking. I instantly turn around and went back to Meineke after going down the street and was told they were closed and I can bring it back the next day. on May 23, which was the next day once I got off work, I took my car to AutoZone to have them do a reading. I was told from AutoZone that I needed a tuneup. I took the paperwork back to the Meineke and showed them what they said then I was told they wont honor my warranty because I so-called didnt have all in my car but I did. Even they said they added oil to my car but my light was still on and flashing so it had nothing to do with oil. They said I had no oil in my car and it was empty but if that was the case, my motor would have been locked with no oil in my car. They are not trying to fix the problem and admit that they gave me an old motor from the junkyard.Initial Complaint
