You have been warned. DO NOT BUY A HOME WITH MCBRIDE. The whole process has been a nightmare. I didn't close on my original date McBride gave me for 3 reasons all McBride's fault. My appraisal wasn't completed because my house wasn't fully sided, no occupancy permit and McBride would not pay for my sod in escrow because my loan required more than my sod was going to be.Then, I finally close 3 days later nothing but problems since I moved in. Many of the problems were brought to there attention during my pre-walk through and then again in my final walk through. I was told to put everything on my one month warranty. So, here I am 2 months into my warranty and the work in still not completed. Most of the work that is not completed is items that I PAID EXTRA FOR. Like black hinges and door k**** have white paint all over them. My dark wood floors have white paint on them. I paid extra for the thicker trim that looks like junk. My one trim around my door has 8 seams and the painter said they can't fix the seams. Also have many rough spots and nail like holes on my trim and I was also told by the painter that is manufacturer imperfections and they can't fix it. Several other problems just can't list them all. The communication between this company is unbelievable people coming to my house when I am not there because nothing was scheduled. Then a trade shows up and has half the items on there list because McBride didn't tell them everything. Just to sum up my 1st month warranty is 6 pages long. Of course McBride won't come and fix the problems. They come and do the bare minimum. The craftmanship of McBride is terrible and all they care about is taking you money and walking away. Please take the time to read the reviews I wish I would have.

HORRIBLE WORK!!!!!! Do NOT purchase a new home with this company! The work that was done is sloppy and definitely NOT worth the amount of money you are paying for their homes. I regret buying my home because the work was rushed and it's extremely sloppy work. The materials are cheap and you can buy better from Hoods. Buyer beware!!!

My experience has not been all bad but I felt the need to leave a review concerning a recent interaction. Sept 18, I reported the builders next door punctured a hole in my siding along with 2 pictures identifying the hole/stack of wood right next to my house. Received a response back from customer service stating they spoke to the superintendent and they ordered replacement siding and issued a service ticket. Sept 26, there was a hail storm and my house had significant damage to the siding. I filed an insurance claim for repairs. I had still not heard back from McBride. Oct 18, the company I hired started repairing the siding damage. I still had not heard from McBride. The siding was completed on Oct 20, using my home insurance/deductible. When I completed my 11mth walkthrough on Nov 6, I asked McBride would I be reimbursed for what it would cost to replace two pieces of siding. I was told he would ask the project manager but he's not sure if they will. Nov 6, received a text from customer service and he informed me that he was told during my 11mth I was told I wasn't going to be reimbursed for 1 or 2 pieces of siding (as if that's nothing because it's only 1 or 2 pieces). I told him that's not what I was told during my walkthrough. What I was told was the siding is local and it shouldn't have took long to come fix it but he would ask. **************** stated, he never received photos of the damage. He specifically may have not but the company did. I sent him a screenshot of the email response from McBride which wasn't a standard reply email but a typed out response by an individual on Sept 18. He apologized he didn't get them. Nov 21, two pieces of siding was laying in my yard without any comms on a delivery. What am I to do with the siding? How can a company cause ANY damage whether minor or major to a property and no accountability. I know it's just 2 pieces of siding and it means nothing to them but it means something to me. ACCOUNTABILITY!

I truly enjoyed the warm hospitality of the McBride studio host. I made my home selections and was very encouraged by the representation of the sales manager. My experience overall was liberating.

Awful experience, Their warranty is flash in the pan. They will not do anything, Their material quality is worstest than that can be found in dollar store. People working for them can intimidate customers, vendors and falter on commitments. Except for the locations they can manage their build quality can't last for beyond few months. they have easy escape using things like settling issues. Over all bad experience, they will just steal all your hard earnings at once and phew gone with the wind.

So I purchased a McBride House on March 31st that was built in ****. On Aug 14th when one of the bad storms rolled through I ended up with storm damage. The storm damage was not really the problem. ****** blew off and when the siding blew off I could see that the house was not wrapped. It also had a 5 inch gap in the plywood going up and down and left and right where they did not plywood the house. Also they did such a poor job putting up the siding I also have all kinds of water damage and animal holes where animals have been in my attic. I have pictures of proof. I am in the process of getting a lawyer.

Beware! Lied to from the start; feeling we paid extra $5000 for the lot we and others were told that the road would remain a dead-end, but after two months into building, the road was opened up. Highlights of issues we experienced: We informed them sump pump was placed in the incorrect location, one short wall missing, pony wall not cut, finished basement floor not level, the stair ******** post an inch short making the transition piece not straight, bumps under flooring all throughout the house because floor wasn't sanded, the wrong color island placed in kitchen, quartz countertops cut incorrect, slope in floor by slider, numerous bowed walls at the floor, thermostat placed on a hot wall now reads 3 degrees warm, poor drywall installation causing many cracks at ceiling, the painting quality is unacceptable with numerous runs and thin areas. Some shingles did not adhere correctly. Siding showed two major bumps as sheathing was not screwed in. The grading in the backyard was sloped towards the house causing flooding prior to our fixing. Several items on our 10-month warranty were denied prior to even being seen as we were informed by another developments superintendent. All materials delivered regardless of condition will be used, there is no quality control. We feel our superintendents had little to no oversight during the building process and are unaccountable for checking work of subcontractors. . We were always told, "Don't worry the workers will see it and fix it!". Little things could have been addressed early on instead of ***********. Moving in we realized our upper a/c unit wasnt working, we had it inspected and was informed a drywall s**** was placed into the refrigerant line causing all freon to leak out. This a/c unit ran approximately 3 months without freon and we feel McBride had adequate time to fix it as all the systems should have been thoroughly checked prior to closing. The process was so exhausting that we were NOT even thrilled to move in.

I am quite surprised at the negative reviews on here, but as a Customer Support Manager, I know too well, that an experience with one person within the organization can cause a bruise for everyone. This us our first time dealing with McBride and so far, it has been a positive experience. Everyone has been professional and courteous. Hopefully, we will continue to have a positive experience up to moving in to our new home.

The worst most unethical builder in *********. Buyer / consumer beware of their predatory business practices. Be very weary of signing their documents or even inquiring online. They will not be truthful from start to finish and really is a shock they are still in business. Poor quality of construction and truly horrible business all around.

    Trigger warning:
We’ve decided to share this in hopes no one else goes the tough this…
We divulged very personal information to the sales team and design center. We had an assumption that our right to confidentiality would be respected. ? It was was on a personal level and had nothing to do with our community. Nor would it affect anyone but our own household. We’ve now built two homes within a two year process with McBride. We loved everyone. However, their lack of respect and discretion has exhausted our patience.
Please watch what you say to EVERYONE involved in this company. We had thought we had an exemplary relationship with them. The invasion of privacy of potentially very embarrassing and private information was used as idle gossip amongst their staff. From the sales to the construction side.
While going through our final walk thru, the gentleman from McBride told us the story of the neighbors moving next door. The details were sad. They were very personal and devastating. If not discussed in the proper context or with the actual parties involved, they could come out as very misleading. This couple… these people… it was us. He had his gossip mixed up. I actually corrected him. The neighbors were transferred. I knew this, because their staff had gossiped to me about them prior. I did not ask. This information was just given to me, unprompted. Basically, they are taking our person hard aches as water cooler gossip. This information could literally have destroyed our marriage and family.
Upon the second house being built, I was promised FULL descretion. They overly emphasized the importance of how ethical they are at McBride. This is clearly a sales pitch, or at least it feels that way.
The president of McBride did reach out. Basically, he stated he’s sorry and will talk to staff. Seems pathetic that a company this big should act so small.
