      On 1/3/2024, I was texted on my cell phone from this company telling me to call them back. I received a robocall from this caller stating a different number from the text. I was unable to capture all the numbers from the call. But decided to call the number from the text ************.I talked to ******* and she was rude saying it was a payday loan from Advance America and they were the resolution company. I asked for proof and she stated I can't give you that. I asked for the number of the company and she told me to look it up. The ten said it is your loan and you will have to pay or go to court. I was asking her questions and she was extremely rude. I hung up and called back the next rep said it was a payday loan that was $500 from 2018 and now it was $1,32.79. I asked how can I dispute it and she said that they sent you letters and that you never responded. I stated that I never received any information sent to my mailing address. I never had a payday loan in 2018. I was trying to get a house, so why would I take out any payday loan?

      I received a call and voicemail from direct recovery solutions phone number ************ which came as spam voicemail with YouMail and for me to call before it goes to escalation department I dont know where this debt is from I did not talk to them but said to call ************

      Direct Recovery Solutions called about a debt that they couldnt provide details on when asked. They managed to have the last 4 of my ssn and mention a cash advance. I told ******* I owe no one anything and have no idea what you are talking about. I also asked to not be called and send any correspondence in the mail that you claim I owe. ******* says its already in collections, no further details given. I was hung up on at that point. I called back multiple times trying to get answers and reps would answer then hang up on me when asked what is going on. The number they called me from was ************. They asked me to call a different number of ************.

      For the past two weeks, Ive been receiving threatening and harassing calls from Direct Recovery stating that I needed to call them back before they escalate matters. They didnt even disclose what the debt is or how much. I believe it is a scam.

      I received a phone call from this company late afternoon on Friday, 11/3/23, telling me that I had a debt that had gone into collection with them and this was my last chance to settle it before they would send it to litigation. The creditor was Advanced America. I have never taken out a loan from Advanced America or anything like it, and never received any correspondence from Direct Recovery Services though they claim to have sent letters. When I asked the caller to provide documentation, because if the loan does exist it would be a case of identity fraud that I would need to resolve, she insisted she was not able to provide documentation. She said I could pay $199 to have it classified as fraud and closed, or $289 to settle the debt, and I needed to decide by the end of the business day or it would be sent to litigation.At this point it seemed clear to me that the phone call itself was fraudulent, but I asked if I could research the situation and call her back. I did so and called back a short while later to insist again that her company provide documentation. She insisted this was impossible, and informed me she was advancing my case to litigation.I have checked my credit reports and I they show no record of this loan having been taken out in my name, and nothing in collection. If this actually was Direct Recovery Services, they acted as if they were fraudulent, and I would like the situation resolved and my case closed.

      This company claims that they are no longer a debt collection agency, however I have received just today 3 calls with them saying they are about to ruin my credit by turning this over to the credit bureaus as well as claiming they are sending a process server out to serve me papers from a 10 year old payday loan. I advised them that this account was paid and closed out via all the renewed interest I paid, and lead debt collection is out of the scope of collection seeing that the statue of limitations in ********** is 4 years. The guy then says good luck with the process server and credit reports. These people are sick and it is sad the way they deal with people and try to scare them into paying them money.

      I am not sure if they are trying to reach my husband ****** or me. But I have received 13...yes 13 calls in a 23 hour period. At this point, take me off your list and only contact me through US mail. This is ridiculous. I have never been told of any debt owed and I have no idea who they are.

      SCAM ALERT Someone has been contacting me, claiming to collect a debt from a payday loan company, Ace Cash Express, which I've never borrowed from. Interestingly, they had the last four digits of my Social Security Number and cited a loan date from 2018. While I did take out a loan from a different payday lender around that time, it was not Ace Cash Express, and I cleared that debt promptly. I was informed that these fraudsters have access to a database containing information on individuals who've previously taken payday loans. They seem to capitalize on the lapse of time to catch people off guard, assuming they won't have the documentation to prove otherwise. To confirm my suspicion, I reached out to the collections department at Ace Cash Express and verified that I have no outstanding debts with themor any other payday loan companies from the area where I used to live. This confirms that this is a scam.

      Direct Recovery Services is no longer doing business as a collection agency. All of our account inventory has been closed and returned to our client. you should be hearing from them or another agency regarding this matter soon.
