HORRIBLE, deceitful, lying, cheating, scam of a business. Auction house makes it nearly impossible to claim your winning items by creating impossibly small windows in which to pick them up, and charging exorbitant fees if you then can't show up during those times, or need your items shipped. The woman who does the shipping, Robin L********* is the biggest scammer of all, creating shipping invoices that are completely fabricated, wildly over the actual cost, and adding on numerous fees as well as a $10.00 cost per item for "her efforts." She has excuse upon excuse for why the shipping costs are so high, all of them lies. I will never, ever participate in an auction with this organization again. I was treated so, so badly and scammed out of a lot of money.K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

Hello,
We regret to hear of your disappointment. As a technology venue for independent auction companies, we do not have any control over the costs for shipping items that you've purchased. I do not see any attempt to contact our customer support regarding this issue. This independent affiliate utilizes a 3rd party shipping partner, which is not a free service.
It appears there was a 5 hour window for removal, this is public information and was known to you prior to bidding. We regret that you are disappointed, please feel free to contact our main support channels on our contact page if you've like to discuss further.

On dec 11th I Won Chicago Shear Machine and paid for it that same day. I contacted their listed Vender rigging company ( TK Rigging ) to setup a pickup. They told me dec 27 is available for to rig it for you. Now keep in mind this is the Vender that Auction uses on all their items. There even was a quote in place, everything is prepped to when auction end, they come and load it. December 27th I fallow up on our conversation and they tell me they will rig it after holidays. I overed lay all this info to JAN with STJ AUCTIONS, and she was up to date that I am waiting. First week of December I call Tom with TK RIGGING and he is telling me that they already loaded this machine to someone Elses trailer. THIS IS A CRIME, how can auction resell or let someone else pick up my Prepaid item? How can that same Rigging company load this Machine to someone Elses trailer? No, I did not receive any email notices or phone calls. This is like a JOKE. If this Gets Resolved i will be happy to remove this FeedbackReview from Andy L

these reviews are about what i expected. what did not expect was to see k-bid pass the buck the way they seem to in most of their responses. they need to have some accountability some of the auction companies that use the k-bid software are for lack of a better term bottom feeders. K-bid feels the need to mediate the dispute but really does nothing to resolve them. it almost seem like a captain-less ship the way they responded to a dispute between one of their subcontractor and me. they only respond during business hours yet their subs can disable accounts 24 hours a day. when you look at fuel costs and available time each trip you make needs to be worth it when you buy something and if you are not able to make your trip[ worth your time its not good business to complete the transaction. that needs to be understood, they didn't get to where they are by making bad decisions but for some reason they expect their customers to do just that. i have no doubt at one point K-bid was well run but as of now i won't do business with them due to their inability to resolve the smallest dispute and giving their subs the power to shut down the customers it a horrible idea. if the customers could shut down the auctioneers that have inaccurate descriptions to make it a level playing field then it makes sense but to have such a one sided method is silly. closed my account over a $30 invoice K-Bid you need help, feel free to contact me i might be just what you need to regain control and keep customers. you might have been the only game in town at one point but in 2023 you have competition and let me tell you some are actually better at your game than you are.Review from Lawrence N

Do not do business with this company!!!! They will completely take advantage of you. Their "guidelines" are like no other online auction. I put in a max bid and it was the wrong amount (way too much). First they have no confirmation to be sure you are bidding the correct amount, it is whatever you put in. Their guideline is you cannot remove a bet, but you can reduce it. I reached out to them TWICE to help and they did not respond. The auction was held and I was the winner of the item at 3 times more than I wanted to spend on it. When I reached out to them for the third time to ask them to fix this, they responded that they didn't get the requests to change the bid amount. When I emailed them a screenshot showing that both emails went through, their only reply was that there was nothing they could do and "this will be the las communication on this". They are impossible to communicate with and they are a horrific company to deal with. Also, "K-Bid" is the host of the auctions, but there are 3rd parties that list their stuff, however K-Bid as the host has no guidelines for these 3rd parties to follow when listing and describing the items. They are not required to say if the items are new or used or if they are damaged in anyway. Some of the 3rd parties will be honest about this and be 100% transparent about it. But most of them simply say what the item is and take pictures of the box. Then you get home, open the box and there are missing parts, or it is disgustingly dirty/used when it appears new on the site. You are better off buying off of Craigslist, at least they make you click the condition of the item. Anyway, when you go back to K-bid about a broken item, they say you have to contact the 3rd party. When you go to the 3rd party, they tell you to contact K-bid. So it is a week long circle jerk until K-bid comes back with their standard... THIS IS THE LAST COMMUNCIATION ABOUT THIS. They are complete a holes and will treat you like complete s#!t.K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

Bidders must check a box that the amount they entered in the bid box is correct, in order for the bid to actually be placed. K-BID owns the auction software and manages the website K-BID.com. All auctions on the website are conducted by independent auction companies (affiliates). Affiliates are charged with accurately portraying the condition of the lots they sell. If a lot is misdescribed, and the affiliate is notified of this in a timely manner, the affiliate will work with the bidder to come up with a mutually satisfactory resolution.
This bidder made an error when placing a max bid. Unfortunately, the first communication received from this bidder was after the auction was closed and he was named the winning bidder. While K-BID will siphon a max bid down to the current high bid while the auction is active; after the auction closes there is nothing that can be done.Review from John B

John,
We do not charge $1 upon sign up, that is inaccurate. We do not show any recent tickets in our system from you asking about the unpaid invoices on your account. We will gladly show that information with you. The penalty fee is because you've had previous accounts with unpaid invoices. We rely on bidders completing their purchases and due to abuse, have to charge a fee for people to reinstate their accounts.
Please reach out to us directly and we will be happy to discuss any of your concerns. https://www.k-bid.com/contactReview from Matt S

We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with an item you purchased from an affiliate on the **BID.com website. As always, we strongly encourage bidders to inspect prior to placing a bid. Given the 15 paid invoices you had, prior to your recent NO SHOWs, it's apparent you didn't always feel this way.Review from Thomas B

We bought a car and never received the title. What's up with that. They said it would be mailed, because the delivery service never put it in the car, but here we sit 2 weeks later?K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

******,We do not show that you've attempted to contact our support team. This is the first we are hearing of this issue. You purchased a vehicle from an independent affiliate of K-BID who is a licensed auto dealer. The paperwork is required to be submitted to the state for the transfer can occur. They can be 6-8 weeks out before you will receive the paperwork. Please feel free to reach out to our support team.Review from C. J.

I won an online auction. Auction ended. I had the winning bid. There were no last minute bids extending the auction. I was sent an email sayng I was outbid. This actually happened to me once before with kbid. I thought it must have been something I did wrong. Nope. The auction was actually adjusted after it closed. I have the screen shot to prove. This is wrong.K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

My fiancé just won a bid on a vehicle last Sunday. We started driving and the car was jumping and shaking engine light was flashing and would let me get up to speed. He had called and spoke to somebody and they basically told him he was screwed because the check engine light wasn’t on when we left the property. I’m almost positive that they reset all the codes because we checked with obd2 scanner not even 10 minutes outside of town and 10 different codes popped up. Now the vehicle won’t even start. had to have it towed. And it sounds like the engine is bad, along with problem with crankshaft and cam shaft. But yet I have the picture on their website saying no known transmission or engine problems. It also states that it gets up to highway speeds no problem which is not true at all because it would barely let me go 30 mph before. Otherwise if you hit the gas it just revved and wouldn’t speed up. A total lemon. Very disappointed.K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

K-Bid, in my experience, typically lists vehicles with "KBB value" even when vehicles have a rebuilt title or other major mechanical issues. They post on the listings, "vehicle sold as-is" but also say things such as "vehicle drove up to highway speeds with no noticeable mechanical issues". There seem to be many vehicles listed this way that have severe mechanical issues such as cracked engine blocks or collision damage. Essentially, if you're bidding withouth thoroughly having a vehicle inspected, don't be surprised if they screw you over. Horrible company with horrible ethics.K-Bid Online, Inc. Response

The only bidder registered with this name on K-BID.com has never placed a bid and has not logged into his K-BID bidder account since March 2022! It's unknown what prompted this complaint.K-BID strongly encourages bidders to inspect lots (especially ones they potentially may bid thousands of dollars on), prior to placing a bid.Customer Response

I have placed bids plenty of times and have purchased sever times on K-BID, so your claim that I have never placed a bid is incorrect. I have not logged in, and have not bid, since March 2022 due to previous bad experiences with K-BID. I just logged in now, and as I fully expected, bidding has now been disabled on my account. This further shows the poor business practices K-BID uses. Essentially if you say anything negative they ban your account. I have NEVER won a bid that I didn't complete the transaction. DO NOT claim that I have not made bids and DO NOT claim that I have not purchased from K-BID in the past. I will happily provide proof of both.
