Cambria does not stand behind their product or their warranty, so all I can do at this point is warn others. I spent $15k to replace all my kitchen marble with Cambrias Matte ********* quartz, which is white with black veining, mainly because I wanted it as a gorgeous backsplash for counters and rangeas shown on the Cambria website. Within a month of infrequent oven use, the area behind the range started yellowing. I constantly washed it, but within a year it was permanently yellowed. When I asked for it to be cleaned or replaced under their much-touted lifetime warranty, they said it was not their fault but the fault of the installer for installing it behind a range. The rep said Cambria has a love-hate relationship with heat and cannot in fact be used behind a range or stove. When I later pointed out how many many times the quartz is shown installed exactly like this on their website, and how the site explicitly pushes it as the perfect statement for your kitchen walls behind a range, they never answered another email or call from me. Similar complaints here and on review sites prove they are well aware of the problems with Cambria and heat but continue to sell it for use behind stoves. You have been warned.Cambria Response

We are sorry to hear that your backsplash has been damaged and you are dissatisfied with our findings on this matter. Our Regional Business Manager has reviewed the situation and spoken with your fabricator, Smokey Mountain Tops, as a follow up to us becoming aware of your situation. During our review, we did not find any indication this damage is the related to the production of the material. Cambria is a very durable quartz product, however, it can be damaged when the product is exposed to sudden or rapid change in temperature or the direct transfer of heat from cooktops and ranges. The stove manufacturer provides helpful information in the installation manual pertaining to the concern with heat transfer to the countertop or wall treatments such as a backsplash. This information is helpful when designing your space.In review of our marketing, we do not share your perspective that we are misleading in the promotion of using Cambria successfully in a backsplash application. Discoloration is not a manufacturing defect; it is damage and which is not a warrantable item.We thank you for your feedback and apologize this damage happened to your backsplash. In response to Cambria's response. For anyone reading, please see Cambria's website, particularly the homepage and the page called Kitchen Backsplash, where you will see a dozen photos of their light-colored quartz installed behind ranges and cooktops. Their ad copy says, "You can achieve both beauty and continuity with a full-height kitchen backsplash in the same Cambria quartz surface you select for your countertops... Cambria is a maintenance-free, stain- and scratch-resistant material that makes a stunning focal point in your kitchen." Only after it's too late, and your backsplash is stained yellow from normal oven use, do they tell you: "Do not do this in your own home if you actually use your stove." I had Cambria countertops installed 3/20/2024 and where they meet at a seem they look like two different counters. They should have been cut from the same slab. It's horrible. We bought 3 very large slabs to do our kitchen and I'm mortified by how they look. One of the slabs was chipped on the end and the installer just super glued it back on. I noticed this after the installation. DO NOT USE CAMBRIA!Cambria Response

Install of Cambria countertops was a disaster. I had damaged quartz ( which the installer tried to hide with superglue) , seams did not fit together, oversized sections which had to be recut. Countertop rocks - unstable. And much more!!!!! Contacted Cambria and they refused any remedy. Absolutely unbelievable. DO NOT USE CAMBRIA. *************************Cambria Response

Had my countertops installed at the end of Sept. By Thanksgiving there was a horizontal hairline crack. They are stating it's not a manufacturing defect before they even saw it. Took them until this week to get someone to come out and repair. Repair job is junk, it's discolored and I can still feel the ridge of the crack. Drill makr is visible. Cambria will do NOTHING about it. Rude representatives and horrible customer service. Thoroughly regret my purchase.Cambria Response

Im not sure from reading the comments below we are dealing with the same company !! I had my Cambria countertops installed 10 years ago, have raised two teenagers, am an avid party thrower and to this day the counter tops are absolutely fab. I found a little **** on my island and called **************** this week - 10 years after installation. They are coming to take a look at it. Their appointment was confirmed with an email, a picture of the technician and a picture of the car he would be driving. Complaintsnone at all. To potential customers - Feel confident in your purchase of Cambria products. The quality is outstanding and the aesthetic appeal even more so.In my case, I got what I paid for and have no regrets. I am scared to death to have my kitchen countertops installed!! After reading all these reviews. I wanted something that mimics marble as much as possible and I don't feel like the ********** salesman is being honest about the Cambria products. ***** from ********** also stated that HD ONLY installs Cambria quartz countertops. When I viewed the samples on actual countertops, they didn't have the marble look at all, in fact it looks way too shiny, and the patterns don't mimic in the least like natural marble. They don't look like quality quartz like you would expect from the cost. I think that I better cancel my order before the special-order kitchen cabinets arrive.Cambria Response

Unfortunately we went to a store that recommended Cambia as top of the line quart. *******, wont stain, wont see scratches. The color is black and over the last 1 1/2 it is dull, spotty, and showing rings. You cant sit anything on it. Its in a kitchen for god sake. We paid over 8k for it, had them come out a couple of times due to scratches but nothing worked. The store where we purchased gave ** $800 back, pennies and Im so disappointed. I will never do quartz again!!!Cambria Response

Product is not stain resistant and maintenance free as falsely advertised on their website and literature! I take exceptionally good care of everything in my home and have never used anything abrasive or potentially damaging to my counters. My countertops were installed in April of 2021 and I didnt occupy my home until early 2022, so the counters have only been used for a little more than a year and II now have a gray ring on my countertop next to my sink. Cambria sent a tech out and they said they cant fix it and I damaged it! Cambria is supposed to be top of the line, but definitely not worth the money! I am a design consultant and have assisted customers in selecting Cambria many times, but never again! Buyer beware!!Cambria Response

Thank you for reaching out and providing your feedback on your experience with our product.We have spoken to our colleagues whom you have interacted with and have been to your home to review the concerns and confirmed from conversations with you the tops were installed in April of 2021 and the concern was note in May of 2023. ************** observed the affected area has a distinct round shape which would indicates a specific item was placed on top of the counter. Our service technician performed various cleaning techniques in an attempt to remove what we were hoping was a challenging residue on your countertops. This was not successful which indicates something has damaged the countertop. We have reviewed the specific material used for your kitchen and have confirmed there are no concerns with the quality or integrity of the slabs. Furthermore if there was a challenge with the material then it would not be isolated to one specific area on the countertop and would not take two years to present itself so suddenly.Based on our findings and review we do not agree with your comment there is a defect in the Cambria product. Unfortunately, something has damaged your countertop. We do not agree with your statement claiming we are falsely advertising our product as stain resistant or maintenance free. Cambria goes through rigorous 3rd party testing to support our products performance. Unlike other natural stones that *** require a sealer Cambria does not. Simply clean with a cotton cloth, hot water and mild soap if desired.Should you ever have any future questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.Customer Response

The fact is, Cambria advertises their product as stain resistant but it IS NOT stain resistant. Nothing hot was left on my counter and nothing was left overnight or for any extended period! But even if it was, it shouldnt stain per Cambrias advertising as stain resistant.Review from Kevin L

People, Im telling you stay away from this company. I had called Cambria about some problems with my counter top and customer service was very rude and arrogant. They will not stand behind their dealers. I would recommend higher quality of granite than this product. Just do your research before you buy this product. My *********** purchased Seacourt quartz from Cambria via *********** We paid just under $4000. On installation day we told the installers that the **************** were different on all 3 slabs. We called the installation company, *********** *********************** They sent someone to take pictures of the counters. We were told that it was a lighting issue. The Seacourt is a bright white with *************** of honey & grey. 2 of the Slabs are a cream color & the largest slab is white. We wanted the bright white of Seacourt that is advertised in the Cambria video. Cream & white are 2 different colors. We had all new recessed & under cabinet lighting installed. We checked the **************** variation under all **************** is definitely a difference. As of today there hasnt been a resolution that we agree with & will take this to the next level. They have been rude through this entire process. All they need to do is replace the 2 smaller slabs with a white slab. Ive asked HD what the return policy consists of re: countertop returns. We are on week 3 with still no resolution. I highly recommend avoiding any quartz orders from Cambria dealers. Their product is not the same color or veining as shown on the slabs we received or as shown on the samples. The customer service is terrible. The entire process has been a nightmare.Cambria Response
