Signed up for the ***** but was never contacted regarding selecting my testing location. Reached out via email (they basically cannot be reached via phone) and got a snotty email telling me what to do to sign up. The nearest testing location was 2hrs from my home and only offered an 8:30am exam. I selected it, but a few days later, one opening appeared 15min from my home, so I paid to have my registration switched to the new location. I was never contacted. I called dozens of times during the 2-3 weeks before the test day. Never got through to anyone. As soon as someone answered, theyd say they were transferring me to the appropriate department, but Id be out on hold until another person in that same department eventually answered and said theyd transfer me. Rinse and repeat. I would be on hold for hours. No resolution. The testing location had no contact information available online.Ended up taking the exam at the 2hr-away location. I had to leave my house at 6am, and testing centers AC was out too. I was exhausted and miserable the entire time and failed by 2 points.I submitted a formal complaint to Pearson Vue demanding a refund for, at very least, the venue change. They acknowledged receipt of my email and that was it. Every time I replied to that email, theyre automated(?) system would re-send me that same email.Fast forward 6 months, I was scheduled to take another ***** but my drivers license had expired and I couldnt get my states DOT to buckle down and actually replace my license after 2.5 months of waiting. I could not contact Pearson Vue or my testing location about this. They used the same phone and email tactics. I showed up for the exam today with extensive documentation explaining my circumstances. I was denied entry and now must pay to take the **** for a THIRD time.It should be criminal for a company to waste someones time and money like this. Someone needs to do something.Review from Sidra M

My math exam was scheduled for March 6, 2024 at 8:00 am. The *********************** stated that I could not take my exam due to my state id being damaged. I asked her why when the other ******** accepted that same state id. I asked **** would my ***** be refunded back and she said that she did not know and that I would have to email them and someone would reach back out to me. Today I called the number back that **** provided and I spoke to a guy named ***** about the situation and he told me that my money would not be refunded and that inorder to take another exam that I would have to pay another ***** and that don't make any sense to me. I just want my money refunded back and I will take my business elsewhere because this is not right at all.Review from Jamie H

My son purchased an ***************** book and was told days later by his professor that everyone who purchased it should request a refund because the college has decided to cover the cost. After many chats and emails, he was told the refund had already been issued on Feb 10 and he should check with his bank and PayPal because Pearson considers the case closed. We dont have the refund, PayPal and the bank confirmed this and they do not have the right to just announce the case is closed without finding our refund. Luckily PayPal is filing a dispute and hopefully we will have our money back in the next 10 days which will be at least a month since we requested it. And we would never get it back if PayPal didnt intervene on our behalf. Our bank also offered to file the dispute but we had talked to PayPal first.Review from Declan L

I have done other online proctored exams, and Pearson Vue is by far the worst. The company is full of terrible people with no empathy, they should be shut down and not allowed to operateReview from Bridget S

I checked in to take my exam, and the exam wasn't released. After talking to 5 different ********, they canceled my exam. I spoke to customer **********************, and they told me I needed an ethernet cable, which was not required in the technical requirements section. I spent $75 on an ethernet chord for the exam to still not work. I had so many technical problems, and no one in customer ********************** seemed to care or wanted to help. Not only did they cancel my exam two times, but they won't tell me if they would refund me the $150 I spent in the first place to take the exam. The customer ********************** person said she "can't give me a time frame" regarding when someone would contact me to fix these issues. 2 days later, I was able to take my exam. However, after taking the exam, they won't tell me when my score will be posted (even though it is supposed to be automatic), and no one will tell me why or when my score will be available. The customer ********************** people are rude and make you feel stupid, and Pearson Vue's exam proctoring system doesn't work. Please pay attention when you make a purchase through pearson website. I'm not saying that they are scam. I purchased 1 book but their horrible website which is slow as dinosaurs ?? charged me for 2 books. They sent me 2 books and I return 1 of them and they promised to give me refund in 6 weeks.( funny, when they wanna get your money they charge your bank account immediately ). Anyway. I've been calling them sine sep 2023 at least 5 times and each time they told me that i will receive my money in 10 days but nothing happened. What I mean their customer ********************** is terrible ??. I don't think that I am gonna get my money back and they left me no choice but to file a complaint.Review from Praveen J

AWS Case: [CASE Pearsoncase: I know pearson doing this for money intentionally, it is fraud.I will report the below facts and fraud with FTC (federal trade commission) and AWS on pearson.1)I have scheduled a online exam with pearson view on AWS certification, While taking the exam software hung for 12 minutes first time, I lost 12 mites my time while in the exam and second time there was annoying alarm noise coming from phone want to put it away tried to contact them whle taking the exam on video. They didn't respond for 5 -10 m and my exam time is ticking, I don't know what to do i had to move and through the phone away and came back within 5s, because of that they invalidated the exam. No one from Pearson helping us reschedule the exam, even AWS told me to call pearson and reschedule the exam in the exam center.2)Similar incident happened with my wife's exam also for pearson online. While taking the exam software crashed before completion, They didn't refund the money but luckily my wife passed the exam before its completion.Pearson intentionally made the exam takers fail in the exam, intentionally crashing and not responding on time while taking the exam.3) I took the exam in the physical center in 2019, at that time, they also didn't put the exam center location properly, about 5- 10 people missed the exam they didn't let us take the exam nor refund the money. We had to fight at the perason center for 1 hr So they gave US voucher to take exams at different centers.It is really frustrating internationally doing this for more money for the same exam.Review from Grover C

Dead a** I just sat here for a ******* hour working on this problem I get 9/10 steps correct get the last part wrong on the first attempt just completely marked the entire problem inccorect great job completely killing my motivation dog s*** a** website been s*** since 2012 never was good lazy a** teachers need to be fired if there gonna outsource this pathetic trashReview from Donna G

I was charged $150 for an online exam. There were numerous issues with the software (despite my very standard system configuration; there are MANY blogs from people who have had the same issues). I resolved most of the issues myself. When the ******* launched the exam, I got an error. I have taken over two hours to try to find someone to help. I finally found an online chat and the agent says he cannot call me (though one already did, so this is clearly a lie). I have asked many times to speak to a supervisor and the answer I get back is "I am looking into your questions". This is the worst exam experience possible.Review from Misty E

My husband paid to take the online class - CCST ****************** and then he studied his a** off to prepare for the exam. He took the day off of work to take the online exam. He logged in when he was supposed to, showed the ******* his surroundings and was told he could have a blank piece of paper to use during the test for doing math. During the exam, the ******* kept interrupting, asking to see his surrounding environment. When he saw the scratch paper, he stopped the exam and kicked him off the link. AFTER BEING TOLD HE COULD HAVE THE BLANK PAPER TO WRITE OUT THE ***** He spoke with a customer ********************** technician who told him he could not continue the test, he couldn't get his money back for taking the exam and he would have to reschedule and pay AGAIN to take the exam. What kind of cheating business is this that steals your money and doesn't let you complete the exam? And this is the only place you can get this certification? Why doesn't the BBB do anything about this company with so many horrible reviews listed? Why isn't the ************ of Education doing anything about this company?
