1-800-hansons installed my new roof in June of 2010. I had the ******************* Saver which is a 30/30 Warranty on Labor/Material Guarantee, Money back Guarantee, free yearly inspections on request. I called on 7/29/2025 to request an inspection. She said she would send the request and the scheduling **** would call to set up an appointment. I received a call back today from **************** telling me that they are no longer servicing this area in ********, so my warranty is invalid, she also said they have many in this area that are now invalid. How can any company invalidate a warranty without notifying their customers, or offering a solution, such as subcontracting to another businesss. Why should we pay for their business decisions.Business Response

The State of **** was notified, and the license was longer valid.
The federal EIN was also canceled.

In March of 2024, we purchased services from ************** for siding. During that time, we were told and sold on the idea that the previous siding of the house would be replaced, as it would interfere with the new siding. We agreed to the services, and purchased it. In June, ******** then placed new siding on the house. However, after review we realized that the previous siding that we were told would be removed as part of the service contract, had in fact not been removed but had the new siding placed on top of it. In addition, the siding was not flush against the side of the house, providing possible weaknesses in coverage and allowing moisture to possible gather underneath and into the boarding. We raised these concerns within a week of the services rendered. At the time, we were told that it was not an issue, and that the service had been provided as specified. We continued calling, requesting a copy of the contract and supervisor review of the work. We were told several times, that the old siding had been replaced and put in the trash and they 'had photos' of which they never provided when asked. It was only after continuous complaints that they agreed to send a supervisor. We did not get an assessor/supervisor until nearly a month after the completion of the services. The supervisor in question, was dismissive of our concerns, and in fact, told us, that we agreed to not have underlying siding replaced, that it's removal was not part of the contract because it did not need to be removed. We were told, that it was siding that would serve as the 'base' of the new siding, and our concerns about possible weaknesses were dismissed. We have continuously attempted to receive a copy of the contract, but have now been basically blocked as a number. Any attempts by my mother, identifying herself, is met with silence as they refuse to ********** addendum, we have recently received a text message from the same company, offering their services.Business Response

I got brand new windows installed in 2015 from Hansons. Included in the contract states the replacement policy which outlines what to provide for the windows to be replaced. On July 17th I called the customer service line and spoke to a representative about getting one window screen replaced due to a squirrel eatting the screen. The lady I spoke to told me in order to avoid paying the $99.00 service fee I needed to upload detailed pictures of the damage and include the serial number, located on the inner ******************** seal. I did all that was required and a representative called me on last week, July 22nd stating that I had to drive the window to the factory in **** to get it replaced. When I told him it was written in the contract and the representative told me exactly what to do, he refused to send someone to repair the window screen. I asked for a manager and he told me there is no need to speak with a manager because they would tell him the same thing. I have gotten a window screen repaired before as part of the warranty and I expect the same service based on the contract I signed.Business Response

the contract warranty regarding outside damage i abuse or act of God Squirrels} s not covered under the warranty. An exception was made and per the contract we will repair the screens at no cost "they must be brought to the closest Hansons location.

I got gutters and siding from Hansons. Both less than satisfactory experiences. The gutters were not sealed correctly and someone had to come out and fix it. They did, but now after only about2 years, the black gutters are already scratched very badly. Ive reached out but no one has come to look at them. lifetime warranty ? *****. Anyway, I decided to give them another shot on siding. The guys were nice, but my yard was left a mess. The edging is black in some areas and matches the siding in others? There was one area that was just unfinished they fixed that, but there is still one area where the siding doesnt meet the roofline, and I just noticed that there is a s**** that came through my bathroom wall where tiled cracked and FELL OUT. I thought the vibrations may have caused it, but nope - a whole s**** The person trying to collect money from me has, rather than taking responsibility for the issues, consistently blamed my home. I dont know about you, but if Im paying someone thousands of dollars to do a job, I expect them to know how to do it? Why hire experts if I could do it myself and just blame my house for the incorrect measurements and holes in bathroom walls? Id honestly like a 50% refund, and my bathroom re-tiled, and the siding repaired so that the trims all match and are measured correctly. Also, come fix the guttersBusiness Response

A message for a gutter service has been made on your behalf.
The apparent roofline defect which is structural and not a part of the contract has no bearing on the installed material or installation.
The project manager will contact you regarding the gutter.

We signed the agreement to install windows for 11 openings. Then Hansons dos covered that 3 windows were missing. They wanted to add more numbers to the original quote and we did not agree and requested the cancellation. Despite our repeated requests by phone and email we have not received the confirmation of our cancellation.Business Response

We purchased siding and a new roof through 1-800-HANSONS and were told it had a lifetime warranty. About a month and half ago, a piece of siding fell down and is hanging from the side of the house. I submitted the warranty claim per the company's request with pictures, etc. Had to wait 5 days for them to process that to the scheduling department. Then had to wait another 3 days to get someone to schedule a repair. They told me I would be called within 48 hours. No one called so I had to call them again. We've now had the repair date rescheduled 5 TIMES by Hansons. They usually call the night before and say that the repair crew needs to move the date. One of the times it was because a lift broke. The initial installer never used a lift but a ladder. This last time they called me while I was waiting between the 8am to 12pm window of the morning they were supposed to come, I had taken a vacation day to wait for them. No reason was given other than they needed to move it again. This is now the 5th appointment. I asked to speak to a supervisor and apparently they were all in the same meeting and she would issue a red ticket so one of them would call me back. No call back. I don't know what else to do, I don't think anyone is ever going to come out here and fix the broken piece of siding that is hanging from our house. If need be I will upload all the emails showing the number of appointments that have been scheduled. The number I entered below is supposed to be the job number.Business Response

Company refuses to stop harassing me. I have asked on multiple occasions for them to remove my information and we have had the work completed with another contractor. They called again the next day, from a new number every time. I have received five phone calls and three text messages in three weeks.Business Response

We had a window put in little over a year now, and it was put in wrong. Called them they sent out someone to look at it they used spray foam to temporarily fix the leaks. However they have canceled on us at least 7 times this past 7-8 months, one time we didnt even get a phone call or txt they couldnt make it. I called the financial company and they stopped payments however Im still getting interest. The old window was broken and leaked bad so we have mold in the wall. We just wanted the window fixed so we could take care of the mold. We cant fix the wall until we know the window is in correctly, otherwise we would have to spend more if it leaked again. My feelings on this is they scammed us and now want us to pay for a window they put in wrong and dont want to fix it.Business Response

On April 14, 2025, I signed a contract (#******) with 1-800-Hansons to install a new roof and new siding. On April 24, Hansons work crew installed a new roof on my property. While they were installing the roof, they dislodged a pipe in my attic, causing the pipe to crash through my bathroom ceiling. The crash left a hole in my bathroom ceiling and unrepairable damage to the only my tub/shower in my home. The leader of the installation crew said, Dont worry. Well get this fixed for you. But a day later, on April 25, the offsite project coordinator (**** ******) called and told me Id need to work with my insurance company to have everything fixed. Then I could submit a request for a deductible reimbursement. This aligns with the Stipulations and Notifications section of my Hansons contract (Page 7, Guideline No. 5, Part G), which states: Consequential damages to premises or material located on the premises: In the event of damage, Customer agrees to submit claim to their insurance company and may request reimbursement for the deductible from the Contractor. On June 25, after a two-month process involving estimates, approvals, signing contracts with a renovation company, and choosing new tiling and a new tub, I submitted documentation to **** ******. The documentation included a copy of my processed insurance claim and a copy of the $2,890 check I paid to the renovation company. I told **** ****** that I would submit any additional documentation or information needed to process my reimbursement. On June 26, **** ****** told me that ****** ******, VP of Customer Relations, would contact me. After not hearing from him, I sent him an email on July 7. He hasnt replied and the project coordinator isnt addressing my inquiries about this matter. The salesman who signed me up for this project also never replied to my email.Business Response
