 was not receiving my bill from DISH so I called and got a phone tree which led me to someone named 'sharon warner'. He had a thick accent but he told me dish was bought out by ATT and they had a better deal now. He set up instulation date for it. When the technician came over. I asked for the box to return it and he said I had to call dish. This 'sharon's had told me that the technician would provide that and that he would cancel the account himself. I thought I was getting new equipment because of the merger with AT&T. I had to pay a $21 activation fee on 11/1/23. I need that reimbursed and all my information deleted from their files. DIRECTV told me that they can't do that because it was a 3rd party that did it. I spent 2-3 hours trying to figure this out...and another 1 hour talking to this 'sharon '. Att and directtv need to find a more secure way to get customers and that DO NOT LIE to get new accounts. I will spread this to everyone I know including social media. They are on the verge of fraudulent trading and I will also consult with my lawyer.
