  Stay away from Greenback Tax Services! The quality of service downgraded in the last few years as they hire from ***** to lower their cost but their professionals don't know the *** rules. If you want to get your tax return reported late and then pay late fees, then stay with them. Their COO recently quit and they have changed 4 accountants on me in two years! The last *** refused to go on camera on our scheduled introduction video call and claimed that also their phone camera is broken (?!). So Im supposed to pay $2,000 in fees to an accountant that doesn't have a basic professional standards or tools. Avoid, avoid, avoid, there are other tax services.

However, the four accountants you mentioned here had each requested your reassignment due to concerns about your disrespectful and offensive language towards them.After your most recent communication with your fourth accountant, we could not - in good conscience - continue with you as our client.Our accountant explained the circumstances regarding her camera and was ready to accommodate you the best she could.   This is my second year living as an expat in the ************* and my US accountant (who I had been using for over a decade) retired. I was very nervous about how to handle this year, and Greenback came to the rescue. They handled my US Federal taxes and pointed out what what I should be doing with my State taxes as well. An all around great experience and I'm sure I'll be using them again next year.

  This was the first time we had to declare overseas income. Our regular CPA declined to do it for us. Another CPA/MBA referred us to a specialist who in turn referred us to Greenback. Finally 1...someone who talked "expat" financial situations and IRS. While it took a bit of back and forth with this company to settle on an agent we felt comfortable with, we eventually were able to settle on someone who did an outstanding (and quick) job shepherding us through the process. This is a trustworthy company that you can feel confident will understand and do your taxes right.

  I have used Greenback for many years now having lived abroad in the UK and India. My accountant, D Smith is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She turns around my tax return within 2 weeks of my document submission, responds quickly to questions and is always available over email. I like the idea that the greenback portal holds all of my prior year documents in case they are needed in the future. The portal is easy to use. I know that Greenback has expertise in filing US returns with foreign assets and income.

  This is my 5th year using Greenback Expat Tax Services and as in prior years, my accountant, D, was fabulous. She prepared my return extremely fast, giving me options for the best filing status and way to minimize my tax liability. I will continue to use D at Greenback Expat Tax Services for my taxes.

  Quick to take your money and then leave you without support. Greenback rep filed my taxes late, but promised to file for an extension. He never did and after multiple inquiries, he never followed up. Got settled with a fine and empty promises. Avoid this business.

  Have been working with Greenback for over a decade. I have looked at other tax services and most don't have a clue about how to handle expat taxes. Greenback is specialist at this, with great customer service across the firm. Full recommendation.

  Greenback taxes are a fantastic company who make filing overseas taxes actually possible. They are (relatively) affordable and the greenback accountant we've worked with for the past two years has always been courteous, prompt with her responses and has an amazing understanding of the US tax system.
