      I used our kitchenaid refrigerator ice maker and water dispenser to get my child water. He immediately told me that there was a huge piece of plastic in is water! We opened the ice dispenser and there is a hole in it that the plastic cane from. This is a a safety issue . Plastic pieces came out of our ice dispenser into our childs drink. What is going on?!!! He could have easily choked on this piece of plastic!!! What in the world is causing the ice maker plastic to crack and fall into our water supply???

      Thank you for allowing Whirlpool an opportunity to respond to the consumers complaint.  
      Whirlpool sincerely apologizes to the consumer for the issue with the refrigerator. 
      Upon receipt of the consumers BBB complaint, a Whirlpool Corporate Safety Lead reviewed the consumers file. The consumer has been in contact with the Whirlpool ****************** Per the file notes, a new ice container assembly is on order and all the consumers concerns about the refrigerator have been documented. 
      The Lead called the consumer at the phone number on the BBB complaint.  The Lead left a message with her direct phone contact number should there be any issues regarding the ice container after the new container is received.

      I was delivered an AMana side by side refrig on June 6,2022. Paid in full. Within 3 days the refrig was getting warm. I called Home Depo where it was purchased 3 times and even paid them a visit and was told I had to go through the warranty since it had left their store. After a few days the refrig was total hot and I lost all my food about $250 and tried to call the warranty service. They sent a repair man and he said the defroster was out and it was very common in these refrig soon as he got the part he would be back. He also said to use the freezer compartment as a refrig but I just lost more food. I have called this 800# of their several times and talked to them and all I get is we can not find the part and refuse to issue me a new one. I found parts all over the net for the defroster, why can't they find one? I am told I would hear something in 3 days and in 5 days, no calls so I am calling them back. You will hear from us in 3 days looking for a part is all I get and I hear nothing. I have medicine that need refrigerated much less food. It has been 3 months I can't buy groceries I can't pay to fix it myself How long do I need to wait? Shouldn't they be more responsible? update: I received an email stating If the part is located in 10 business days from the 8th they will sent me a tracking #for the part if not they will assign me to another department and I will hear from them in 3 days. WE are still looking at another month if they find the part and no telling how long if they don't find one. Can you help me PLEASE?

      We bought a refrigerator from Lowes in ********, ** February 4, 2022. April 15,2022 the refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing. I contacted Whirlpool as there was a 12 month warranty. The earliest service date they could provide was 5/16/2022. Upon servicing, a part was needed to be ordered. The part was not available until July. The part supposedly needed was installed approximately July 19. July 22 the refrigerator stopped cooling again. We since have contacted Whirlpool and the service provider for repair. We have had 2 additional service calls. The refrigerator is still not working. I have also contacted Whirlpool and they have refused to replace and only provided an extended warranty. The service provider contacted us today and let us know they tried to let Whirlpool know the issue was not repairable and the refrigerator needed to be replaced. Whirlpool responded they would like to have another part ordered (circuit board) which is also on backorder with no known date of availability. At this point we have paid almost $2000 for a refrigerator that has worked a little over 3 months. We need this resolved and have been waiting on a resolution since April.

      Hello. I am beyond frustrated with Whirlpool and Maytag appliances and customer service. My dishwasher that was only 1 year old stopped working July 15th. It was a Whirlpool. It had a warranty. (Serial # ******************************* Could not schedule service for the appliance until mid August. I had a private appliance tech look at it. He said the motor was broken and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the part was on back order and itd be cheaper to purchase a new dishwasher. I purchased a new Maytag dishwasher (serial # ********** on June 16. Immediately upon installation I received an error code E4F8. To clarify, the dishwasher never ran 1 full cycle with an error code popping up. I called Maytag/Whirlpool and requested service. I emailed them on June 28th and service was to be conducted on August 1st. After the first attempt, I still received an error. I called again. After 2nd attempt, I still received an error. Finally they came out a 3rd time. They determined a part needed to be repaired to fix it. The service provider will not give me a date when this part will be available. I called Maytag. They were unable to get into contact with the service tech or company do the repairs. Maytag told me they will not replace the dishwasher until the repair is deemed unresolvable. Maytag will also not call me back and provide information. I do not know when the service provider will return or when the part will be in stock. Maytag will not give me solutions and the service tech will not answer or call me back. I have now spent over a $1000 dollars on a dishwasher that will not work and Maytag will not provide a new one. It seems like they are selling faulty products then giving customers the run around when they attempt to get parts repaired that are covered by a warranty.I am happy to provide all emails and communication exchanges with Whirlpool/Maytag. Both my appliances were registered and under warranty.

      Purchased a amana whirlpool refrigerator for ******* tax ****** total *******, on 6/11/2022. Refrigerator arrived on 6/16/2022. Left on vacation came back on 6/28/2022 called filed warranty on 6/29/2022 repair man came on 7/7/2022 They can not get part it is now 8/9/2022 still my refrigerator is still broken and they refuse to solve this problem, I just want a working refrigerator please help.

      On March 1, 2022 i purchased a washing machine from Lowes. The machine is question is a Maytag Model: MVW6200KW Serial #: ********* The Machine has since quit functioning. I contacted maytag for a repair. Their repair person came and stated they are using a new control/binary board and they are failing at a very high rate. The tech ordered a new board but was told they are on back order indefinitely. I explained this to the maytag service center and stated i cannot just go with out a washing machine for an undetermined amount of time. I was told to call back in 3-4 weeks to see if the part was available. I would like maytag to either replace or refund this washing machine.

      Purchased refridgerator a year ago When it arrived the shelves were shattered, the door was broken and things were just not right with the fridge. A few months ago the fridge quit making ice, cooling and the freezer does not work. We have had 3 or 4 repairs on it now including a logic board and two compressors and not one thing has worked. At this point I would like to have the unit replaced. If 4 repairs, shattered shelves, a door that doesnt line up if thats not justification to replace the unit thats this new then i dont know what is. I have been WAY more than paitent about this issue but now i want it resolved.

      July 20th 2022 order # ********-901488 we called because they sent us a wrong part for our dryer and they said it can be refunded the part was never used and came all scratched ** in the package. They are saying we installed the part which we did not because its the wrong part. refuse to credit our money back to us and a manager over the phone said they will refund the part even picked it up from fed ex I also told them I paid for overnight shipping and she told me that would be refunded as well because they sent the wrong part. the total was ***** and they have the wrong part back and my money. they said they can't refund the money because it was installed and it was not you can install a wrong part into a dryer so they said they will not return the money and can send us the part back but why would we need a wrong part and have no use for it. the also sent it in a plastic envelope so not great packaging all I would like is my money back for something they sent that was not right

      We purchased a dishwasher from Lowes on or about April 9, 2022 KDFE204KPSO Serial number ********* After installation we learned that is was broken and shooting water out of the back of it which was draining down the back wall of our house. So, it never worked. We were told to contact Kitchen Aid and not take it back to Lowes. 4 months later and we still have no working dishwasher. I want a new working dishwasher. They have sent multiple different technicians out and each time the technician tells us it is a different problem than the last one and they order more parts and then we sit and wait. My husband has literally spent HOURS on the phone with kitchenaid trying to get someone to help us and no one will and no one cares. Meanwhile we are out $1200 and do not have a dishwasher. Please help us. We just want a resolution. And I think other people need to be aware of how horrible this is. Thank you.

      They have been out 8 times over 7 months and can not fix it. Its under warranty as the Kitchen Aid fridge is only 4 years old. They have sent out 4 different men . The warranty company is ARS and they are horrible. Ive been living out of an ice chest for 7 months and I am a 65 year old woman. This year has been so bad with no ice and no fridge.

The terms of this warranty are clearly stated in the Use and Care Guide for each appliance.  It has been our experience that manufacturing defects will usually appear and be reported well within warranty, at which time repairs are made at no cost to our customers.
