I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I would only wish that the verbal and email responses I received from the company had admitted their error and waived the $75.00 fee, thus negating the need for my complaint to the BBB.

to service. Driver intimated that we were not the only ones to say this. Today, March 21, two more totes were left in front of our house. I immediately called to remind them we had not authorized service. The person I spoke to at ************ today told me that she would order totes picked up and we would be billed $75 for the pickup as we had not informed the company before March 15, as stated in the email sent to me, which I never received. First, I feel like there were deceptive sales practices and I am not sure calling to opt out of service is a good business practice. Additionally, in their document the $75 tote pickup charge seems to relate to price shopping within the first year, which is not the case as we are retaining, at greater expense the company we have been using for years.Business Response

We apologize that the sales *** took down the email address wrong. Causing the customer to not receive any of our communication's regarding can delivery and service start. We have waived the $75.00 charge, as this was not a customer error.

I transferred my acct from my pm to myself just last year. Upon set up I was offered autopay. For whatever reason the autopay did not take. I have had constant calls from evergreen for about a month but everytime I answer the phone disconnects or it says all agents are busy. I finally got a hold of someone after I saw someone come collect my trash can and asked the gentleman how do I get a live person. He told me to call right away at that moment. I spoke with a Kitt who told me I have been calling after hours and that I received emails regarding the balance and that my card was on file. I havent received one email from evergreen but the calls that I keep answering and cant get someone. I would like my trashcan returned immediately and my account credited back the $20 for collections of the can. I have been here 5 years and never had this problem.!Business Response

All customers enrolled in autopay; their card is only processed 1 time. At the time their quarterly payment is due. If the payment does not clear at that time. An automatic call, and an email are sent to the phone, and email address we have on file. The automatic call creates a high call in volume, hold times for a live customer service *** can be longer than normal. We attempted to contact this customer for over 30 days, before we removed our equipment. Our records show the customer updated their email address on March 20, 2025. The same day we issued a credit of $20.00 for the can reconditioning and scheduled for a can to be delivered back to the customer on March 21, 2025.Initial Complaint

Why the trash continue to not get picked up. There will be 3-4 weeks of the trash getting picked up then immediately no more service again. Why is this a continuous issue. I am extremely tired of having to bring this issue up. Today was trashed today and my trash wasn't picked. It has been sitting outside since 5pm Sunday.Business Response

Our records show this location was on stopped service for a past due payment the first week of February 2025. At this time service has been restored. Our history notes show that this customer has made several reports of yard waste not being collected. Evergreen does not service yard waste in **************. This business continues to solicit to neighborhoods with no soliciting policies and to houses with clearly displayed no soliciting signs. This business has solicited at my house three times, after being asked to leave and not return. Our "no soliciting" sign is ON our doorbell that they press. Twice they acknowledged "they saw the sign but didn't want us to miss out on a great deal". Attached is a doorbell camera photo of the second attempt.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is ok to me. I will continue to update. As this has been a reoccurrence issue. Hopefully there will be no issues in the future. So far, for the past 4 weeks since my compliant (which has been happening for a year) the trash is finally being consistently picked up. I will report back if there is constant issues again.

Since our complaint was filed, we have learned that it was not the trash truck (Evergreen) that hit our mailbox but the recycle truck that comes on the same day. However, it was not necessary for the president nor his one-woman **************** team to be so rude and nasty to me while trying to resolve the problem. It just wasnt necessary. Had I received a response within 2 weeks of my contacting the president, this matter would not have escalated to BBB. (It should not have taken 10 months for me to receive a response without sarcasm, attitude and rudeness.)Regards,

After researching this complaint. We have found and reviewed correspondences with our field manager, as well as the property manager of the community the *****' live in. *************** wrote that the damages occurred April 25, 2023, approximately 8:40AM. While children were waiting for the school bust to arrive. She stated that a child waiting to board the school bus informed her that a trash truck hit her mailbox. **** receiving the emailed complaint she submitted on May 3, 2023. We immediately reviewed our video footage of all trucks in operation, in the **** It was determined that no Evergreen truck was in the *** on this date, and time, and did not cause any damages. Evergreen would not be offering any reimbursement. In addition, if it is reported that Evergreen has caused property damage. A manager will immediately investigate, and should it be determined that Evergreen is at fault. Evergreen would provide the repair. We would next ask the homeowner to repair damages.Initial Complaint

On 11/21/2023 I called a talked with a representative. I asked to cancel my service and get a refund she asked if they lowered the rate would I stay I said yes. They said they could only go as low as $ 90 every three months, I said no let's cancel and refund. The representative said they do not refund. We started with Evergreen in 2019 @ $84 dollars tri-annually. It is now $107. I understand inflation however what I do not understand Is A) should you choose to cancel they refuse to cancel in the middle of a three-month billing cycle they refuse to give a refund. B) they charge a $ 20 reconditioning fee. However, I have watched as their trash personnel slam down the bin and or trough it down my neighbor's drive. I have never heard of a business not refunding unused services. I want my service canceled and a refund of $44. I also find it unreasonable to have to pay for the damage that the trash collectors inflict on the cans.Business Response

Our statement of service, policy and procedure for canceling service. Can be found on the back of all quarterly billing invoices, and on our website, www.evergreendisposal.com. Our records show we did offer the customer a reduced rate to continue service. The customer declined, and scheduled for her service to end, at the end of her current billing period 1/31/24. We do not charge any rent fee or deposit for our Evergreen carts. We replace them free of charge if they are ever damaged. At the end of service all cans must be returned to Evergreen, to be sanitized and put back in service. The $20.00 fee per cart is also outlined in our cancelation policy. We had a flood in our neighborhood and could not get trash picked up so i called the company to get a rescheduled day. When I spoke with a customer service representative from this company he said they would not send anybody back until next weeks pickup. I told them this was unacceptable. I had just paid them and they were supposed to provide the service I paid for. They said they wouldn't, so since it was in bad faith, I would like to cancel the service and asked for a refund. At first the gentleman said I can get that processed for you minus a $20 cleaning fee. I told him that was perfectly fine. Then he said he had to speak with someone. He came back on the phone and backtracked, telling me he couldn't process the refund. I had not had a pickup since i paid. This seemed illegal to me.Business Response

The bill has been resolved, there was a miscommunication between the bank and Evergreen with an online check that was lost. You can take down my complaint. Thank you. I had given them exactly what info they needed. Since then they have turned off my services and keep sending threatening voicemails that they are sending me to collections. I have been a loyal and reliable customer that has always made my payments and now they are treating me as if I won't pay my bill which was a mistake that they had made on their end. I have spoken with the customer. We had a 3-way call with her bank. The payment that was issued was never received by Evergreen. They are to be remitting a new payment, to restore service.
