I attempted to resolve the issue and requested a refund with ******************* verbally and with a formal letter, to no avail. The summary letter to ***********************: I am writing to request a full refund in the amount of $2,695.67. The refund breakout is: $2,317.41 Repainting of **** **** F150 Pickup Truck to correct the paint error by MAACO on 12-28-2022; $ ****** Missing Under Hood Insulator, 12-29-2022 and informed ****************/MAACO on 1-25-2023 of $ ****** Missing End Caps of the Grill Cowl, 12-29-2023 and informed ****************/MAACO on 1-25-2023.On 12-28-2022, I returned to MAACO to retrieve my **** **** F150 Pickup Truck after being informed that the vehicle work was complete and ready for pickup. Upon seeing the incorrect paint color I informed you that the color was not correct and not the color that we had discussed and agreed that you would paint my pickup truck on November 19, 2022. I then told you that you/MAACO had made the error in paint color.However, you informed me that I would have to pay extra to have the truck repainted after acknowledging that the paint was not the correct agreed upon color to paint the truck. Also, you required that I pay in full the amount of the 11-28-2022 Final Invoice for $5,832.50 before the repainting to correct the color error (I had to pay in full for the incorrect paint work before any paint correction would be completed and my vehicle released to me).I informed you that I did not agree with you and that I should not have to pay extra for a mistake/error in the paint color that I did not make. I informed you on 1-25-2023 of the missing parts to my vehicle and you responded by telling me the parts were in bad condition and were not put back on the vehicle. I was not informed by you/MAACO about the missing parts, their condition nor non-replacement.I have additional notes and documentation, conversations/explanations by Maaco caused error; **** Mercury paint colors and procedures not followed by Maaco.
