I was overbilled by Pivot for $388. I paid the bill. When I sought reimbursement from my HSA they informed me of this, and provided a letter and EOBs to confirm the amount I was overbilled beyond what Pivot and my insurance company were contractually bound by. I have repeatedly contacted Pivot for a refund. When I call, they tell me to email them. I have emailed them 10 times in the past month. They don't reply to my emails, and ignore my requests to confirm receipt. No refund has been received. I am frustrated at being initially overbilled, but increasingly frustrated Pivot is entirely nonresponsive and has not corrected their error.Initial Complaint

Contacted a agent about getting health insurance for my family. My son has Autism and requires special medication that is very expensive without insurance. I asked the agent several times if it was covered and he said it was. It was listed in the Formulary for my plan I selected. I have attached the formulary that I was given. Name of medication is Methylphenidate. Once coverage began I went to pick up my sons prescription and it came back it was NOT covered. I called Pivot to get this corrected and was told it was excluded from my plan. But then was told by a supervisor that it was covered and he was "confused." Honestly each time I called I had a 50/50 shot of them either telling me it was covered or it was not covered. Spent over a week trying to get to the bottom of it to get my son his pills. Today was told the definitive response was it was not covered despite it being in the brochure. They told me that it would be "corrected." I would have never bought the plan if I had known this. Complete bait and switch by a insurance agent and company to get me to buy their plan. They took forever dragging their feet on this that today I called to cancel my plan and have my money refunded they told me I was past the return point. Well of course I was because they stalled on giving me a response and kept giving me the run a around till it was to late. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was no one there to talk to? Left a voicemail and haven't heard anything back from them.
