I am a member of Andrew Federal Credit Union and on 10/31/23, my account was hacked for almost $1000.00, and I have been trying to get my money put back. I filed a dispute on 11/1/23, and it was denied because whom ever the hacker was they had my password and my code, but all the purchases that were made was in New York at an Apple Retail store in New York and other stores in New York and Andrews Credit Union stated that because it was Apple purchases they seem to think I gave someone my information and I showed them proof that I didn’t make any purchases but the still refused to put my money back in my account. Honestly I believe that this may have been a inside job because how do someone have my pin and the code all I want is Andrew’s to put my money back so I can try and get my finances back on track since this happened what funds I did have in my savings have been depleted or almost depleted. I will be changing my banking establishment very soon because I can’t trust that this may happen again because it maybe an inside job, I just want Andrews Federal Credit Union to put my funds back in my account.

I recently applied to Andrews Federal Credit Union and submitted all required verification documents. The website indicated a response time of 24-48 hours. However, it has now been more than 48 hours, and I have yet to receive a response. In my attempt to seek assistance by calling member services, I encountered further disappointment. Not only were they unable to provide any helpful information, but they also simply advised me to continue waiting. This experience has left me dissatisfied and frustrated. The misleading time frame and lack of effective customer service are disheartening, especially considering the numerous alternatives available. While I understand that delays can occur, clear communication and honoring promised time frames are crucial in maintaining customer trust. As a result, I'm left contemplating whether Andrews Federal Credit Union is truly the right fit for my banking needs.

Absolutely shocking how inept this company is. Like other reviewers have mentioned, their system constantly cancels applications without notification or justification. When you finally do get someone on the phone, they're "not authorized to view that information" (evidently no one on their team IS authorized). Even better, they randomly give completely contradictory information on how to proceed than the previous person. But it doesn't matter ultimately because it sounds like I've dodged a bullet. Except for the fact that I now have a hard inquiry from Andrews for absolutely no reason, they've shown that I would never want to have a relationship with them anyways.

After two weeks of wasting time, they declined a loan application because they couldn't verify identity.... I'm sorry, what? They forced me to provide a license, SS card (never once have I been asked to provide this in 30 years), pay stubs, credit reports, even W2s, and they still claim I don't exist? Absurd. Meanwhile, I applied at another institution when I got sick of waiting. Surprise, approved in less than 12 hours.

Honestly, don't be fooled by the advertised rates or the potential convenience. It will never be worth dealing with a team of idiots.

The worst bank I have ever dealt with in my life! I opened an Andrews FCU account to get their Visa card 10 years ago to use on my honeymoon to Europe because it did not charge foreign transaction fees. Everything was great for a while, but this bank has SERIOUSLY gone downhill! I accidentally missed a payment and they closed my credit card account which put a major ding in my credit and screwed up my credit utilization. They make it almost impossible to make a payment, they have recently completely randomly stopped allowing payment to be made from external banks, and their generic error message said nothing about this - I had to call customer service (huge wait time) to find this out after nearly a month of trying to figure out why my payment, which I processed the same way I had for the last decade, was not being accepted. Their alternative to send in a payment doesn't work - their web site is buggy and crappy. I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to reliably get payments to this bank to pay off my (now useless) credit card that they shut down on me. AVOID THIS CRAPPY, PODUNK BANK AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Andrews Federal Credit Union has awful customer service. I will never use them again. We had a car loan with them, but had to open a savings account to make payments. The car has been paid off over a year with a $5 balance remaining in savings. I have been trying to close this account for months, speaking with 4 different representatives with no resolution. They have the nerve to charge a “withdrawal inactive fee” on a $5 savings account I have been trying to close. The WORSE customer service I have EVER had in my life. My last interaction, they left a message to call them back with no name, no extension phone member, or a reason for the call. Called the number back and explained the situation and they couldn't help.

If you have a 2nd mortgage loan with them, it is serviced by someone else but it says Andrews Credit Union, but they can't be reached with the same phone number or account number as the 1st mortgage loan. I have been making this payment on line like normal people pay their bills, but now you can't make the payment over the phone or with the normal way of making the payment through the app, but through "Quick Pay" in which is not so Quick. In order to make this payment you HAVE to give consent through your bank to give and share with them and a third party company your banking information, before you are allowed to make a payment. I think it is very illegal what they are doing and I am not happy.

On the due date of my auto loan payment I was informed my method of payment was no longer accepted, so following their instructions I setup a new payment method a few days later, that payment was deducted from my account but Andrew's federal credit union has no record of it and my account is showing delinquent, it has been almost a month and I am still jumping through hoops and hurdles just to even talk with someone about it. The only concern they have is me making another payment but no one can tell me what happened to the money I already had transferred to them and now my calls seem to be blocked altogether, before when I could get sombody on the phone Most of the tellers I spoke to was not able to find a record of my account, I've seen reviews on other sites of people having the same exact issue along with complaints about the bank's CEO. As well as other complaints

      Stay Away!
They continually are making it harder to make payments by not accepting drafts from third party banks...which they used to accept. Then, they say you can make a payment through their Quick Pay tab on the website. However, when I went to take that option they wanted my Bank ID and Password! I have never been asked to provide my password before. I was expecting a bank account and routing number. Would you trust someone with your online bank ID and password? What legitimate business would even ask for such a thing. I think they need to be investigated.

They make it almost impossible to actually pay your bill. They don't allow external transfers any more, what a joke of a company, impossible to understand what is going on or what your payment is.
