The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On July 31, 2019, the DC Attorney General announced it filed a complaint in DC Superior Court against this business alleging the business violated DC Construction Codes and the DC Consumer Protection Act. The lawsuit claims the company and its owners failed to perform contracts under the agreed terms and then charged consumers more than was originally contracted for when they did perform work, starting work well after the agreed upon timing, damaging consumer and neighbor property, harassing and threatening dissatisfied customers with retaliation to end disputes, and performing unapproved and illegal construction. The DC AG is seeking restitution for the victims, an injunction to stop the company’s allegedly illegal behavior, damages, costs of litigation and civil penalties. The matter is pending.
