I rented a car from said business and I had gotten pricing information over the phone explaining the need for a car that didn’t cost me 560 a week like my last one… he ensured that I could save money as well as part of my money going to the purchase of a car that I would own later. I paid 520 on day one, 330 a few days after and then another payment of 285.50… i was supposed to return the car on 12/30/22 but had been up all night because my aunt is hospitalized for cancer (shes on her death bed) so I was going to return it the following day but I had to wait for a second driver to accompany me. I missed two calls from the company while I was catching up on sleep because I was delirious. When I woke I had a threat of having me arrested for not returning it. Obviously upset I responded to the texts very peeved and tried calling back and got no reply. When he did call back he was rude talked over me and didn’t care at all about my situation even though I had faithfully paid for the car to that point. But here’s my big issue. I returned the car(because I was threatened to return it THAT DAY…. And when I got reply to my email I was being charged another 355.98… and told my deposit is being kept. I returned it clean and only one day late. I requested a breakdown realizing that they are charging me for two additional days that I was not in possession of the car as well as fees for those days as late fees. I refused to pay them another penny and I would like to have my deposit back less that one day and tolls I incurred. I have proof of that return happening on 12/31/22 at 8:30ish pm. Its a scam and they are trying to take my money for time i didn’t even have their car Despicable….
