    The company has failed to submit an application for a construction permit as promised on 2 occasions, first they failed to submit the application as indicated initially. I had to call the county permit office in November 2024 to check on the status and they said there was no application submitted , then they submitted the wrong application in January 2025 (an addition permit rather than an ADU permit), then said on 4/8/2025 they were waiting on the county for approval of the new permit when the county had no record of the new application when called on 4/8/2025. The contract was signed in August of 2024 with a 25K down payment and with an expected completion time of November 2024. The company has failed to perform as agreed. I called to get my deposit back, was told the owner would call back after his meeting on 4/8/2025 but I received no reply.

    I am adding additional information here to clarify my original post. The estimated date of initiating the *** project was November of 2024 and the estimated date of completion of the project was February of 2025.

    Hello,

     Im a. Writing to inform the BBB that I have not received a resolution to my complaint. I received a call from the project manager who, in an intimidating manner, said I would not receive one ***** back from my deposit. This was after the office manager said this project manager would no longer be working on my project. He called again wanting to meet in person to discuss continuing the project. It has been over 30 days without a resolution. Please help, what  can I do next?

    ****, we do apologize that it took this long for you to receive our response. It is very disappointing that this was your experience with top remodeling. I do want to clarify that permits were submitted, however the original drawings needed to be modified per your request.  We do regret if it was not clear through communication that any changes would cause further delay. It is correct that the process was longer than anticipated and for that we do apologize for the inconvenience.

    We would be happy to complete the work; we are sorry you were unable to connect with the owner. This is not the customer service we desire to provide. We would be happy to schedule a time to sort out any questions or concerns.

    Subject: Formal Complaint Against Top Remodeling LLC for Breach of Contract and Financial Loss Dear ********* I am submitting a formal complaint against Top Remodeling LLC (**********************************************) for breach of contract, failure to complete work, misrepresentation, and financial loss.Background On November 20, 2024, I signed a contract with Top Remodeling LLC to build/update a basement half bathroom at ********************************************** for $9,540. I paid $2,862 upfront for architectural and permit-related costs and later $1,000 per their request.The project was to be completed within one month (by January 31, 2025). However, as of today, only a permit has been obtained, and no construction work has started.Key ***************** Failure to Obtain Permit on ************ Claims:They promised the permit before Christmas 2024, but it was delayed.They falsely claimed they sent the permit via email, but ********** Countys system had no record of it.Failure to Start or Complete Work:They repeatedly delayed the project, promising to start "next week" but never did.I sent formal notices on January 15, February 3, and February 11, 2025, yet no firm completion date was *************** Loss Due to Delays:I planned to increase rent after renovations but had to rent at a lower rate.Tenants cannot use the basement, leading to complaints.They ignore my requests for a written timeline and fail to follow through.Unethical Business Practices:Lack of communication, false assurances, and refusal to return my deposit of $3,862.Delays causing stress and financial hardship.Request for Action I request the BBB to:Investigate ***************************** a full refund of $3,862 due to non-performance.Take disciplinary action for unethical business practices.Record this complaint publicly to prevent future victims.I appreciate your prompt response.Sincerely,******** *********

    The inspection for this project was approved this past Friday. Mr. ********* project will be completed in the next few weeks. We are still in current communication with Mr. ********* and encourage him to reach out with any questions or concerns.

    I hired Top Remodeling LLC to build an outdoor kitchen as well as pull permits/install a gazebo. The deal was $10,000 for labor, permits, and I would purchase all of the supplies. November 4, 2024 we signed a contract and I paid the $5,000 down payment Yaron (****) the owner required. I have emailed and called several times and I keep getting the run around. When I express interest in ending the business relationship On December 2, 2024 due to no change, and they pay back my money they called and apologized, Told me to go ahead and purchase everything in my Amazon cart (roughly $3200 worth of items) and promised they would get started ****. I have attached a copy of the email correspondences as well as, the convo I had with them in *********, PG County permits pulled for my house as of today 1.27.2025 to show nothing has been pulled, the contract we signed on 11.4.2024 and a copy of the check front and back.
