    Hi, I never got a printed receipt, but here is the credit card transaction from the purchase.

    To whom it may concern:

    I am responding to the second attempt letter that was sent on August 23, 2023 (that I received on September 5, 2023).  I vaguely remember the incident that was cited in the letter.  My recollection of the incident was that a woman came ******* into the store and said something to the effect that the gas pump did not shut off and spilled gas on her.  I recall saying that I could smell the gas and gave her paper towels.  I also directed her to the bathroom and told her that I would tag out the pump (what we usually do when there is a pump issue reported from a customer, along with a telephone call to our gas distributor).  

    On August 28, 2023, I called our gas distributor to further discuss the incident.  I was told they would contact the customer to handle the complaint.  Since then, I have spoken to them several times and theyve informed me they have been in contact with the customer and are currently handling the situation directly with them.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The response was grossly inaccurate. Paper towels were never offered and there was a long line for the bathroom (the attendant never suggested using it, I had checked prior to engaging with him). After being laughed at, nothing additional was said or done by him. My brother was in the store with me and can speak to what transpired if needed. My mother was present in the car when the gas spilled but not in the store.


    I received the attached email and responded in an effort to resolve this (again, Im not asking for anything ridiculous but want to be compensated for my ruined clothes and the headache that developed). I still have the clothes, as well, if needed. Exxon has done nothing before or since this email to attempt to resolve the issue.

    I appreciate your assistance in helping get this resolved.
