    Chesapeake Appliance intent is to collect service fees AHS with out actually completing or resolving the issue. They lie to *** and to the customers as to the diagnosis saying they are ordering parts and then dont call the customer back. They also dont answer the phone or return voicemails..

    This company was contracted by AHS to repair my oven. A part was ordered to repair my oven. After the part came in the tech scheduled an appointment. I agreed to the appointment. I called the tech on the day and left a message asking where they were and never received an answer. The following day they left a message stating they were on their way to the property. I did not receive the message until it was too late. I called and left another message to reschedule. No response. I called again. I have even left text messages. At some point they came to my house and left the part on the front steps. No response or anything regarding how to fix the problem. I am not paying to get parts and make repairs myself. AHS gives me no recourse except to reach out to the company but they are NOT responding! And AHS does not offer a way to complain on their website. It simply states the repair was completed?! This was not completed and based on the number of complaints on this site, this company should not be in business.

    This company is a ****. American Home shield sent them out, they did a quick check on our dishwasher, said we needed a new motor and would contact us in 7 days to repair. That was over a month ago and after NUMEROUS calls they will not pick up the phone. *** will not do anything about it and we have wasted $125 but it looks like *** still continues to send this company to their customers.

    On or about 4 Oct 2022 I contacted American Home Shield Warranty (AHS) for a service call to repair an oven, range cooktop, and microwave that stopped working. AHS dispatched and contracted CHESAPEAKE APPLIANCE REPAIR (CAR) of Pasadena Maryland, to do the repairs. I was contacted on or about the 6th of Oct 2022 by CAR, who set up a 6 hr window for the 14th of Oct 2022, to come out and diagnos my problem. They came on the 14th and diagnosed and ordered parts. I was told by the technician they would call when the parts arrived. About a week later they called, and scheduled the 24th of Oct 2022 between the hours of 1pm and 5pm as a time to conduct the repairs. The technician made contact with me the day of the scheduled repairs and he arrived with the wrong part for the cooktop range. He however repaired the oven and microwave. Although 3 days later the microwave stopped working again and 4 days after the oven stopped working. I've contacted AHS to inform them about the problems still existing. AHS set up a return by CAR to redo the repairs, but I haven't heard from CAR and, they don't return my calls and their voicemail is full. I looked at YELP reviews on CAR and there has been numerous customers who share my experience of disatisfication with CAR. After not hearing form CAR I've contacted AHS who continues to try and contact CAR via urgent email.

    This business is a contractor for American Home Shield. A representative for Chesapeake Appliance Repair came to my home, identified the ice maker was broken and left stating they would order the part on August 29th 2022. ON October 25th, American Home Shield states the case is closed because Chesapeake Appliance Repair received the part and was paid for the repair/installation of the new ice maker. This company did not fix my ice maker or ever return to my home after the initial appointment on 8/29. This company is not returning calls and now voice mail is full. American Home Shield cannot reach them and they will not allow for another contractor to come out an fix the appliance since Chesapeake has been paid.

    This was a contracted vendor through American Home Shield. The vendor came to diagnose the issue on 6/23/2022 and advised it would take 7-10 days for the parts to be ordered and they would contact me to schedule the repair. I have not heard from the company since that time despite four phone messages requesting a status update. American Home Shield reached out to the vendor directly on 8/19/2022 and received no response. Today American Home Shield advised that the vendor never remitted a repair ticket (I have a copy of it). The vendor should not be paid for their service or lack thereof. I remitted $100 for the visit per my contract with American Home Shield. At this point, it seems like maybe this is a scam company.
