On 3/16/2023, BBB initiated an investigation into Smart Care Direct to research numerous unanswered complaints on file. Most of the unanswered complaints cite excessive or high-pressure sales tactics. These consumers allege receiving unwanted solicitations, despite their numbers existing on Do Not Call lists or direct requests for the business to cease and desist all contact. Over the course of the investigation, BBB discovered the following:
- At outset of investigation, BBB was unable to reach business to return our Standard Business Questionnaire or verify business’ address on file.
- On 4/3/2023, BBB was finally able to make contact with the business’ Compliance Department to confirm operations and updated contact information.
- Smart Care Direct has been notified that their social media links were displaying inaccurate contact information, or wholly inoperable to be properly reached by consumers.
BBB shall continue to monitor this company for further developments.
