    I worked for UMBC college as an individual contractor- at their Sporting event.Saturday 5/4 to Sunday 5/5. They hired me - to work- so- travel from Suffolk- to stay at the Sheraton- UMBC paid for my room- after the UMBC event-i check in to the Sheraton-the Front desk- said they would be using my card for incidentals-$50. They charged my bank immediately. They told me if there is not incident at check out it will fall off-
    5am on 5/5- my bank text me of a $244.12 charge- from the hotel. I immediately contacted UMBC- asking if they paid for the room
    They said the room was paid for.
    Sheraton Front Desk- said they charge by accident and the $ will be refunded-immediately -my bank just has to release charges. I called my bank- and we called the hotel together- the bank told them there is no refund noted on my account from Sheraton.
    The hotel manager Connie- told bank- they are doing something wrong- “all you have to do is this and that” and my bank tried to tell me there was nothing noted on my account that they are refunding my $ to me. The bank stated they would ask management-i was put on hold-then they both hung up on me. nothing was ever resolved. I finished my job at Umbc- hoping that my $ would come. i had another contract - where i needed that 244.12 to use for a different hotel- i told the Sheraton i need to cancel my other hotel and stay another night
    The Manager Conner refused but the head Hotel manager Ricky/Rich ****** said he would give me a room at employee price-
    1 hour later
    They double charge me $77.68.
    I contacted front desk and told them- they did it to me again.
    I emailed Mr ****** and asked why did they keep taking more cash out my bank- then what is necessary
    At that time Sheraton took
    $50-incidentals
    $244.12- in error
    $77.68 x2 = $500
    by 8am the next morning (5/7/24) the extra $77.68 is back- on my acct.
    but the $244.12 that was taken in error- still no $244.12 or $50

    the bank cannot give me back my $ faster.

    i didn’t get my $ back till 5 days later
