This company boarded my sweet puppy for a week while we were on vacation. We specifically told Best Friends Furever to not feed our dog anything with chicken in it because she is allergic and has a bad reaction from it. 2 hours after dropping of our puppy, ***** Best Friends Furever called me and said ***** needs to go to the hospital because her face is swollen. Maybe she got stung by a bee, not sure. We were on our way out of town on a week's vacation. We got updates twice while on vacation with, ***** is not eating, picture of ***** throwing up in her crate. Not sure what I am supposed to do when I am 600 miles away. When I asked if they fed ***** anything with chicken in it, they said yes. I said not to feed ***** anything with chicken in it. ***** was sick for almost 2 weeks after she returned from boarding. I was not aware that I could bring my own food. I also paid for extra time each day for someone to play with ***** and they admitted that they did not do this and would refund me the money. I did receive a refund. They have since take me to collections for the outstanding balance which they told me would be written off. They admitted their mistakes so why now are they going to collections over something that is clearly their fault ?

am very disappointed. Not at all what I expected. I have a $50,000 service (mobility) dog. I wanted him to have more exercise and play time then he gets as a working dog. I had a long talk with one of their trainers and she was kind, understanding and helpful. Today when I arrived for his first day I was told that I couldn't see the facility... no tours. When he was a year old he was taken from me forcibly and put in a crate. We don't know what happened to him during the 48 hours he was caged but he has PTSD. I explained that I needed to take him back and put him in his crate so he would know he wasn't being taken from me again. It isn't separation anxiety but fear of being taken from me by strangers. The first person said I couldn't go back with him "for your own safety". She asked the "management" and told me that she refused. I asked to speak with that person The "management" person, who it turned out was sitting right there, was the Director. The Director didn't introduce herself and refused to allow me to take my dog to his crate even when I explained the situation and that my walking away leaving him with strangers who were going to put him in a crate was going to exacerbate his PTSD. She was rude, treated me without kindness or respect. When I said that I was disappointed and thought that I would only have to take him back one time she wouldn't budge. I said I would have to leave. She didn't seem to care about me, my disability, nor (this is the MOST important) my service dog. She was the problem and I can't recommend any facility whose Director is so uncaring about the welfare of dogs. The rest of the staff were wonderful. The handlers and front desk people couldn't have been better. I do understand the lability issue for them but sometimes exceptions have to be made. A red flag shouldn't have been "no tours" and not being allowed to see anything. I wouldn't leave a child in a place I couldn't see first. Why would I leave a service dog. BEWARE.
