      I needed repairs to my roof, siding , gutters after storm damage. After contacting other contractors, I decided to choose *** because during the free inspection and prior to signing the initial agreement for work, the sales representative very throughly ensured to my husband and myself that we would be extremely satisfied with the quality of workmanship, the timeframe of completion, and overall experience. We were promised professionals that make the process flawless. Due to the confidence of this sales ***** we agreed to *** for our project and also decided to do full replacements rather than repairs. Work began 5/3/25 although it was to start 5/2/25. ************ spoke no English and pretended to understand when we talked to them. At the end of the day, they were defecating over our hillside because they had to wait for a ride and didnt understand when we said they could use our restroom. A week later they started the siding and gutters. During removal, they damaged multiple items (awning, radon pipe, outside light), destroyed landscaping, left trash and nails everywhere and again, no English. They tried to pass off terrible application of the siding with bubbling, uninstalled lights,and nails exposed as complete. They also didnt install downspouts properly for rain water drainage (drilled holes instead of cutting the insert hole) and pitch was not correct either. We have had the company out 9 times alone to repair the numerous issues (one being wiring exposed) and each time they create more issues or do a lazy repair. Now, we have been waiting two weeks for them to complete the remaining items and there is always an excuse. one of the most horrible experiences of my life. The company has no regard for their customers and just want the sale. I was misled into the agreement and paid top price for professional work and I have yet to see it. Now they are running out the clock so they can charge me although I have not signed a completion form.

      I set up to have home genius perform my siding on my home as well as my rear and front entry doors. The siding was ordered and I was quoted a one-day service for the installation. Deciding took over 2 weeks to be completed because they did not measure correctly and I had to wait one week for more materials to come in. I reached out to home genius because after the siding was complete they left all of their materials in my yard for over 2 weeks. I had to wait 6 weeks for the doors to come in and when the day of installation came I was informed that they mismeasured the doors. I had to wait another 3 weeks for those doors to come in. Today is down June 27th 2025 and the doors were to be installed. I received the call telling me that the doors were Miss measured again and that they had to order again. I have not been compensated for anything that has occurred. There has been little to no communication from any managers or supervisors in regards to my situation. I am not happy with the services that I have received. And basically I was just told things happen and that I have to pay the full amount.

      On April 2025, had roof replaced by Home Genius Exteriors. Was told I had life time warranty. Never received any paper work on ********. Called twice before and both times was told someone would be contact me. Was never called back or recieve paper documentation. On 6/27/25, called ***** Corning, nothing has been registered by Home Genius.Again, called Home Genius Exteriors and again they said someone would contact me. Poor way to conduct a business and I will not refer them to anyone I know. Almost, 2 months later. I will hold off making any payments until this settled.

      On 5/18 I received a quote for my roof and siding, during the process of inspecting my roof deck from underneath he stepped through my ceiling causing damage. It is now 6/11 and its yet to be fixed

      Home Genuis Exteriors provided poor communication and did not provide clean-up after completing the job. The job was delayed due to "going to the wrong site", which I only found out four hours after the scheduled time and wasted time off from work. Then "didn't have the material, but were grabbing it to work on it today", which they showed up and did a little bit of work and left with no explanation. When asking for clarificaton, one employee told me they are going to get even more materials so that the work can be completed and the other told me they can't work on it right now and they will be doing everything the next day; more wasted time off from work. I was told when agreeing to repairs, clean up would be done after installation. Nails and metal shards were left around the entire house and on the driveway. When I brought it up, I was ignored.

      We informed the Home Genie to cancel and then about one month later, they sent us an email on 5/26 that our cancelation reversed but we never reversed it (attached).

      ***** ****** from Home Genie came our house to sell new roof. We told him that we will think about it on 4/15. We signed the paper but we didn't make any payment. Within 3 days, we called ***** to cancel the contract. Since then we didn't hear from them. On 5/8, we received an email (attachec) from ****** saying our purchase was canceled. On the same day, 5/8, ***** from Home Genie called asking us to pay 20% of material costs. After the call with *****, he came to our home, walked into our garage, which was opened at that time but we didn't invite him into the garage, he asked for the money, threatened and harassed ****, my husband (attached picture). Again ***** came to our home on 5/31 to threatened and harassed us. We didn't have any choices and we will report to the police that he can't come in out home anytime to threatened and harassed us. ****** emailed us and acknowledged our cancelation. ***** shouldn't continue walking into our home anytime and anyway to harassed us. This company is bad. We, the customers had already canceled the contract within the 3 days and we also received cancellation email from ******, the compliance review specialist.

      1. Before work has started, 13 days after signing contract, today 26May2025 I sent text to project coordinator to cancel, due to finding another company charging thousands less, with a good warranty also, and *** sold me ventilation I did not need, as they stated mine was too closed. She had not yet received approval from my HOA for project approval at this point.2. TJ, sales **** called and stated I would be charged 10%, $2700.00 to cancel after 3 days of signing contract, for restock fee. This information was not reviewed with me until today after requesting cancellation.3. I request assistance in return of my deposit of $500.00, cancellation of 10% restock fee of $2700 HGE Rep.stated today was required, cancellation of contract without penalty, lawyer fees and credit report filing, etc due to the above issues.

      Salesman came to our house for estimate & did a walk around with my husband. Lifted siding & let him know the existing siding was over the *************** both need to be removed. Day project starts I was working from *********** have half the siding torn off. My husband calls me to tell me they stopped the project cus found the house was double sided & we need to pay an additional $3500 to continue. They never stopped, a shutter literally flew past my window while I was on the phone with him. They knew this, but purposely left it out of the contract to get us to sign. They could have removed one piece & called us, not wait until half the house siding was removed. How do we stop at that point? We called & complained about this. I was told by a *** ****, I think, he would contact main office & get back to us. Never did on that. There were numerous things that went wrong with this project including they did the entire house and didn't replace the fascia. We were told maybe they left it out to keep the price down. Seriously? Everything was brand new and there was dirty stained fascia around the house. I told them we talked to 3 other siding **************** said it is always replaced. They came back & replaced that. The shutter color I ordered I was told 3 weeks later no longer available. They ended up painting them match. I ordered dumpster on my own because they wanted to charge $1200, I paid $400. Day 3 tell me I need a 2nd one cus the shingles needing to be removed. They agreed to get the dumpster since it was their sales guy that left that out of the contract. When the project was done I called back asking about the adjustment for the $3500 they told me they couldn't do it cus all the discounts we were given. When I asked what discounts he couldn't tell me. I said please look into this & call me back. Never did. They told my husband they would add this incident to their training for their salespeople. We should not have to be out $3500 for their error.

      On Sunday, 03/30/2025, around 10 pm via phone call, I had verbally contracted a roof replacement from Home Genius Exteriors (HGE) through their sales **** Mr. ****** ******. Because I was working (driving), I authorized Mr. ****** to sign the contract for me. This transaction was recorded and will prove that I was misled into putting a deposit down. It is worth knowing that before I authorized the deposit, I asked Mr. ****** if I could get my deposit back in case I could not secure finance for the project, and he said yes. He never mentioned that I only had 3 days to cancel the contract before forfeiting my deposit. I would have never put down $1,000 if he had given me this information, knowing it might take me longer to secure funding/finance. When I contacted *** 5 days later, they said I forfeited my deposit according to the contract. I am requesting a total refund due to misguidance and deceit.

      Our experience with *** has been frustrating prior to, during, and after our siding installation (***** March 2025). Our current issue that we are submitting a better business bureau complaint for is based on unresolved warranty concerns and damage caused during the siding installation. We were assured that warranty documents for our siding would be emailed within two weeks of the final walk through, but despite multiple follow-ups after waiting 3 weeks, we received nothing. Our messages about it to the project manager were ignored after asking *** to pay for damages their siding contractors did on the trim of our new screened-in porch, leaving us questioning whether the warranty even exists and whether we would receive any support from *** should we need to use the warranty in the future. Additionally, the siding contractors caused damage to our newly installed screened-in deck. Their ladder placement on the trim dented it and caused some buckling. The project manager responded promptly when we raised the issue (7 April 2025) and acknowledged the damage, offering to have the siding company fix it immediately. However, given our previous experience with HGE communication and concerns about how this fix might affect our warranty with the company that built our deck, we opted to obtain an repair estimate from the original contractors and requested *** to cover the repair cost. After that, all communication ceased. Multiple messages to the project manager, including if we should reach out to anyone else, were left unanswered. Our hesitation to allow them to fix the damage feels justified, given the pattern of ignored messages and lack of accountability. Unfortunately, this experience has left us deeply disappointed, raising concerns about the integrity of their warranty support and overall responsiveness.

They are working an agreement, but it is taking longer than expected. Can you please extend the deadline to respond to their response to my complaint? I am back 11 MAY, so a 15 MAY extension to respond back would be great so that we have time to close the loop.
