I hired signature moving company to move my items from my apartment to a new apartment on November 5, 2022 starting from 3pm. The moving company only confirmed the hire through text and I was hoping to sign the contract on the day of the move before they start the service but there was none. During the move, my TV was the last item moved and I was specific on how the TV is very sensitive and fragile and needs to be handled with care. The movers were reluctant. Once the move was complete I was unpacking and didn’t get Wifi until Tuesday, November 8,2022. That’s when I tried to turn my TV on and found out the TV was not turning on. It was around 9pm and I immediately called the moving company. There was no response. I mentioned this to my brother who was with the movers the day of and he said they did hit the side of the track while they tried taking it inside the car but he couldn’t see if anything happened because it was wrapped with blanket and plastic. He also mentioned that they stuffed it in the track with a couple of items and didn’t bother to give it a proper space. My TV was working the day before and on the day of the move as I was entertaining my son with it. After Tuesday I texted and tried to reach out to the company multiple times with no response and finally got a hold of them on Thursday. I explained the situation and was promised a follow up call the next day and was asked to send a picture. On Friday during the day, I was trying to take a close picture and noticed there was a crack. I sent the photo and indicated the crack but there was no response again. Saturday, I called again but no response. I used another number and called they returned my call on the different number and was promised a follow up on November 14. I have been calling and texting since Monday with no response. I haven’t been provided info on how to submit a claim or received a proper follow up. My calls and requests have been ignored with no sign that the company is taking the appropriate step to resolve the issue. I would like to please request assistance in resolving the issue. Advertised 2 men one truck with all equipment. 3 men arrived 20 mins late. One of the 3 movers smelled of liquor & I caught him sitting on my coffee table. I witness the movers dropping my furniture trying to transfer to much at time on the dolly or rushing with what they had in their hands. They hit walls and doors with my furniture. I had all of my belongs properly packed , covered, disassembled & organized to make the move easy and quick. My apt was 100% cleared before 2 hrs. The movers didn't text, call or come back to the door to say they loaded everything and were ready to go. They were inside the truck eating up time so to take me over 3 hrs hence $90 for an additional hour. I ended up with damages to several new items. The plastic covers I had over certain furniture to protect from dirt were removed and one my art pieces was taken. The movers came with furniture blankets but they were not used. The movers caused an avoidable road block on a busy road & got into an out of car altercation while at a stop light. I gave a detail report to Moe the owner. I provided photos of damages & invoices for my furniture. Monetary compensation was given for the missing art work. However I have been reaching out to Moe since 12/1. He ignores calls and text most times. He stated his insurance only covers up to $250 in damages. When asked about the customer claims info he stated it is online There's no insurance/ claims info on the site and when pointed out he became offensive. I have gotten an estimate from a legit furniture store to fix one of my rattan egg chairs. The estimate which is between $300 to $400 was sent to Moe. When he decided to respond he stated he thought the amount was to much and would check with someone he knows that fixes furniture. Though I am curious what that amt will be my rattan chair will not be handed to one of his friends to patch up in a basement . I have reached out to him twice after the xmas weekend and no response to text.
