They sell ******* as new and say they can't determine if the item is blacklisted, so you have to do it yourself to know if you aren't just buying a paperweight for $700 but they purposely zoom way in on the package so you can't see the serial number necessary to check if the item is blacklisted. You need the IMEI and serial number but they know what they are doing and this scam should be addressed. Crazy they have an A+ rating

I have bid on and won many items previously, they were delivered without issue, and performed as advertised..
Then, I bid on and won an automotive ****** GPS. The GPS was delivered without issue. On the ****** box it states that an activation code is required. This code was not on the receipt, The code was not inside the sealed box. I contacted ****** and was told the code should have been on the receipt, it was not. ****** stated that they do not have the code and their system does not allow for them to preserve the code.
I then contacted Property Room, they informed me that the item listing clearly states that this item is sold "as is".I explained that the item was not broken, the item is incomplete. I explained that they sold an incomplete item. This item is supposed to be sold with an activation code. Says so on the box. They refused to issue a refund or provide me a credit. Again, this item had no chance to work. Like buying a car online and it shows up without a steering wheel. A one of a kind steering wheel that cannot be purchased any place. They sold an item that they knew would not work.
This is wrong. fraudulent, unprofessional and a scam. If I had received the GPS and it had a cracked display, a jammed control button, then Yes. I get the "as is" argument.
The legal definition of “As is” refers to a term used in sales contracts where the buyer agrees to buy a product in its current condition without legal recourse should the buyer discover a defect in the product after purchase.
I have been in Law enforcement for over 40 years, I understand "Wrong" and this is wrong. I understand fraud and this is fraud. They sold an incomplete item and refuse to make any effort to fix the situation. They sold an item that they knew would not work.
Please, do not waste your money and time shopping on this site. This is not the first complaint of this nature that Property Room has had. There are other sites that are honest out there.

All the items must be shipped separately because they rip you off with the $14.00 shipping fee; about 2 dollars at the most goes toward shipping, the rest they pocket. When you look up the same items on ******, it is always way cheaper with far less shipping.

The auction is seemingly sketchy on auctions that are not the police auctions but the customer service is quick and does respond. I initially wrote a negative review but they have fixed the issue and were quick to respond. Just always be careful when purchasing valuables like gold and jewelry online.

I’m not sure what happened with these other buyers, but I LOVE PropertyRoom.com! I’ve been a loyal customer for at least 5 years now. I’ve loved everything I’ve purchased there (usually from ****** ********, but not always). I have run my gemstone purchases through my gemstone identification app and the stones are always spot on.
If you’re looking not to spend decent money, you’re probably not buying well. The Police section always has messed up stuff. You get what you pay for.
I’ve also taken some of my purchases to jewelry stores and they always confirm what I’ve purchased.
I made my largest ($$) purchase ever there recently, spent a LOT of money, and I adore what I received. It’s received a lot of attention on ****** since I posted last night. Others love it too.
To use the site properly, you must educate yourself on how it works. Not all sellers are the same. I look for the weight of anything I buy (weight in gold and/or weight including stones). I read the description of the piece carefully. I look up the price of gold on a regular basis.
This is truly a great site! Use your brains before buying and you will be rewarded. Don’t use them and you will be unhappy. Don’t blame the site for your own mistakes.
Oh, and use the **** ************** app! I love all rocks, not just gemstones. The app is very accurate.

This site allows 3rd party vendors to sell on their site as well, and they are scammers. The jewelry company they allow to sell on there is selling ******** fakes, and propertyroom.com won't stop them. You think you are buying from police but it's some lady in a condo in PA selling plastic.

PropertyRoom.com has been in business for over 20 years and in addition to the 4000+ police and government agencies the Company is partnered with, there are select third party merchants that also list on the site. These merchants go through an extensive vetting process before being allowed to sell on PropertyRoom.com. The third party merchant in question has been in partnership with PropertyRoom.com for over 10 years and the Company as well as the merchant stands behind the products 100%

I purchased some Gems that was on auction from One of Propertyrooms sellers *** ******* *******, which was advertising authentic, untouched Gemstones, which I found out to Be Fakes, so I had asked Propertyroom to Assist Me with this Fraudulent sale, with a few back & forth emails, the seller finally agrees to my return but now is charging me a 15% return fee & no refund for shipping these fake gems Back, their decision in helping Me with this Illegal sale is to take more money illegally.

The complainant (buyer) has provided no proof to substantiate such claims. The sale was in no way illegal and the buyer received exactly what was ordered. The merchant seller is not in the business of selling "fake" stones. The return is being handled as a discretionary return in which shipping is not refunded and a 15% restocking fee applies. The merchant and PropertyRoom.com Inc is under no obligation to accept such discretionary returns. If the buyer wants a refund then they must return the product as instructed. The policy pertaining to discretionary returns can be found at: https://help.propertyroom.com/support/solutions/articles/44001804820-your-responsibility
